Yankee by blood but have lived in South Carolina most of my life. I grew up hating the Knicks so naturally my favorite player was Reggie Miller lol. I hate the Yankees and the Braves so it's very easy to be a Mets fan. I think the Jets are a joke to football and to Giants Stadium. I love boxing. Carlos Beltran is one of the smartest baseball players I have ever seen, whether its baserunning, hitting, fielding, you name it. It's very easy to like a team when three of your favorite players get signed/traded to the Mets. (Santana, Beltran, and Castillo (yes Luis Castillo lol). I think I may have the only Luis Castillo Met jersey ever purchased and I wear it with pride.
Bobby Valentine I LOVE YOU!
Bobby Bonilla NOT SO MUCH!
The Shaq Attack from Burger King was/still is the best meal dedicated to an athlete. Very big Clemson University fan, as I have lived there for 20+ years.
I really enjoy Clemson athletics. i'm a Rutgers fan by blood. John Thompson has always impressed me so I'm a Hoya basketball fan. Grew up admiring Deuce McAllister playing for Ole Miss, which happened to have Eli Manning as its quarterback. Houston Nutt is a savior, much like Johnny Vaught.

Antonio Cromartie anyone?
Rumor has it the San Diego Chargers are looking to deal Cromartie for a running back due to Sproles being a FA and LT most likely being cut. So I ask you Brandon Jacobs for Cromartie?
Fernando Martinez Live
Fernando just launched a 2-run F-bomb in the Caribbean World Series. It's live on MLB Network atm. I don't really know if this is against rules or not. WATCH IT Figgy is the starting pitcher as well.

Fantasy League- Keeper with Minor League
A few years ago the Baseball keeper league I was in fell apart. We have a good run for three years. We included a designated number of keepers from your previous year including prospects. I had a kick ass crop of prospects but anyway I was wondering if any of you would be interested in such a league if I create one. It shall be the "Amazin' Avenue FBL". I would say everyone (im thinking 12 teams here) put 10-20 bucks in the pot (we'll create a paypal of sorts) per year to give to the winner. I'm not gonna list all the specifics if no-one is interested but if I get enough buzz I will draw up rules and all that other good stuff and create a league on the net. We really can't use an espn/yahoo for this kind of league but I do have a place to put it.
Do remember, however, that this will be a keeper league incorporating minor leaguers major leaguers. If you aren't serious about it please don't say you will join.
Reason your a Pacer fan
I'm a fairly new commenter around here. I use to post a lot on the RealGM Pacer page a lot but once I discovered SBNation I haven't really checked it out. Anyway I was wondering how everyone became Pacer fans. I haven't seen a post like this and if there is one I apologize. I'll post my story after the jump.
AAOP: Amazin'ly Awesome OMGZ Plan
For my "Amazin'ly Awesome OMGZ Plan" I take a stab at a realistic but, in my opinion, winning plan. With this complete team I see no reason why the Mets can not win the NL barring disastrous injuries from this past year. This plan keeps the "core" together which is only smart. Who wants to trade David Wright for Nelson Cruz anyway? c'mon that's crazy talk...
Anyway I tried to avoid trade scenarios involving: Miguel Cabrera, Curtis Granderson, Carl Crawford etc. because, as much as I would love any of those players, I just couldn't come up with a logical trade for them. Instead I make a few trades involving minimal prospects but taking on a little salary. I also get rid of Castillo although I am one of his few supporters. I was giddy when the Mets acquired him and I even own a jersey. Now I know I might get flamed for that but I have always been a fan of his. However I just don't see him being on the 2010 team even if it means we eat a few million left on his salary. I also tried to avoid a few FA signing that will be too expensive for this plan. Sure I'd love to sign Chone Figgins but I couldn't fit it in this plan, same for John Lackey.
After the jump check out the plan as well as some very un-graphically artistic graphs and pictures.
