"I don't think that ever happened," Holiday said of never getting into a basketball game.

"It hurts down deep in your gut, man," coach Eddie Jordan said. "You've been playing and you're sitting there and you've prepared yourself for days, and you don't play. That's a heck of a feeling."

This is good news, right? He wouldn't say that unless he really meant it. It would be painful if he didn't come back

Love arrived at Mr. Chow, the famed Chinese restaurant in Beverly Hills, the waiting group included Jay Williams, former national player of the year at Duke and 2002 NBA lottery pick.

Williams was there on business, as the chief recruiter for Ceruzzi Sports and Entertainment, the very agency that staked Barrett with a quarter-million dollars.

"I was like, excuse my French, what the [expletive] is this all about?" Love said during a recent interview.

Bruins Nation Russell Westbrook 2.0

He kind of reminded me a lot of (Russell) Westbrook (an NBA lottery pick in June). He can play both on the ball and off the ball in the backcourt for UCLA. He has incredible quickness and is a very capable ballhandler. He can make the ‘3’ and beat people off the dribble. He also is hungry to defend.

FIBA stat line: 11 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 50 percent from field, 19.8 mpg

Bruins Nation Luc Gets His Guaranteed Contract!

From the NBA's Official Website:

The Milwaukee Bucks signed Luc Richard Mbah a Moute to a multi-year contract, General Manager John Hammond announced Wednesday. Mbah a Moute (6-foot-8, 230 pounds) was the 37th overall selection in the 2008 NBA Draft and will participate in the 2008 Las Vegas Summer League with the Bucks (July 12-20).

Quite surprising they all agreed to a contract this fast, they usually wait till after the summer leagues to evaluate and sign second round picks — Congrats Luc, make us proud!

If you're Las Vegas, go check him out with other past UCLA basketball members such as Kevin Love (Timberwolves), Arron Afflalo (Pistons), Cedric Bozeman (Lakers), and LMR (Lakers).
