Draymond Green.

Just curious about what you GSoM heads thought about Draymond Green. Haven't watched much college hoops this year but I did catch Michigan St's game yesterday and I was thinking I wanted this guy on the Dubz but he's probably gonna be a top 7 pick. He scored 16 points. grabbed 13 boards. and dropped 6 dimes. I think he could do this on a consistent basis in the NBA. This guy should be a top pick right? But if not, think the Warrior steal this guy in the draft?

Klay Thompson at Point Guard.

I know everyone wants to talk about possible trade scenarios, but if the Warriors don't make any significant moves come trade deadline, pisses off 93% of the Warrior fan base (i'd be part of the 7% if no trades happen) and we keep this current roster (again), would anyone want to witness running Klay Thompson at the point? Since Mark Jackson is a big advocator of Klay, I would roll with this experiment and give him 40 minutes a game til the season ends. I'm curious of how this combination of Klay at PG with Monta or Steph at SG would go. Just thinking ahead in case no trades happen come March 16. Your Thoughts? Go Warriors. Still.

Clifford Ray?

Anyone have an update on Clifford Ray? He doesn't work for the Boston Celtics anymore right? I wish we could bring him back to the Warriors somehow and coach the bigs we currently have as well as coach whatever big man we pickup. I think he could turn Udoh, J-Tyler, Al Thornton (do we still have him?) and even AB into Gold Plated Beasts.

Wassup. ROMESdavidWOOD37 from GSoM. Not sure if Blake Griff got the memo for this dunk. if not. I really hope to see it as his opening dunk tomorrow. if not. his final dunk for the kill and victory. Loved this Jrich dunk and I wished J Rich saved this for his final dunk in 2004 FTW. Since that didnt happen. I wanna see BGriff master this and even execute it better. Go Warriors still but big ups to your clips this season. u r definitely exciting to watch.

Buffalo Bills WR Steve Johnson Tattoo

Did you guys see Buffalo Bills Steve Johnson's post game press conference? He rocked a wife beater LOL and on his right shoulder he has a tat of the Golden State Warriors Logo!! (last years logo of course). Guess he was born in San Francisco. (anyone on here know him?) Anyways, just thought that was awesome and it was even cooler that he gained 137 yards receiving along with his 3 tds in his monster game yesterday. LOL 37 37 37 37 37 -the end.

Monta Ellis plans to play today vs. NY Knicks

Don't have a link but that's what they said on KNBR. Delete me if I need written proof, but I'm sure its going to come out soon on the net somewhere. In my opinion, even if Monta is good to go, I'd prefer he get that extra rest. Our bench is deep enough to survive tonight. But hey, what do I know? that's just how Monta rolls. "I'm a War Yours. And I'll always be a Warriors." - ME8

The Roaracle Arena

Since there have been speculation that Larry Ellison will rip the ORACLE sign off the Oracle Arena, maybe Joe Lacob and Peter Guber would consider changing the sign to "THE ROARACLE"? [i think that would be awesome] I could understand Ellison's anger (which was my initial reaction) but I hope we can keep the ORACLE sign up there. Just as a sign of respect to him that A LOT of Warrior fans really wanted him here as the owner of the dubz. Unfortunately, life doesn't always go your way, sometimes you have to accept life for what it is and make the best out of it. You have to roll with what you got. The Lacob-Guber ownership shows promise (like all our players that come into our organization) but instead of making judgement now... I will keep an open mind with a "wait and see" until the product they create is put out there. Most dubz fans are very patient and I'll be one of them regardless. If you bleed Warriors Blue, you would do the same. I just Hope Larry Ellison doesn't hold a grudge on us Loyal Warrior fans. It really isn't our fault. LGW...still.

Golden State Of Mind Cuz We Still In it to Win it: Open Thread # 37 + 42.

Open Thread # 37 + 42. Cuz We Still In it to Win it

Warriors (24-54) vs. L.A. Clippers (27-52)

Tip Off: 7:37pm (exact time too)

TV: CSN HD

Radio: 1050 KNBR

Stream? : Check the Thread Yo.

Hmm. Where is the open thread? You guys haven't given up as Warrior fans for the season right? WeLLL???
We still have 4 regular season games remaining and I plan to watch every single one of them before I go into Warrior withdrawls.
I also plan to root for a Warriors Win in each of those remaining games because that's just how my mentality has been ever since God created my brain.
Never give up no matter what predicament you're in. Down 137 points? Not a problem. 37 seconds left in the 4th quarter and we are losing? Not a problem.
The Warrior Season was over back in December with our playoff hopes? Not a problem. I'll still be watchin Warrior Hoops until April 14, 2010.

I am one of the many few on this site (maybe it really is just me and Rated R Superstar) that still roots for a Warriors win.

We're always in it to Win it. Those healthy Warrior players available to play throughout the season have always set this tone despite their unfortunate injuries.
They've played their guts and souls out game in game out despite all their harsh criticisms, despite being undermanned, and despite their realistic chances.
They threw all that negativity out the window because they in it to win it. If you ain't, then you don't belong on this planet.

This is what I feel about tanking:

[X]

It's just absolutely dumb to me. I'll be fine with whoever we draft because even if I don't agree with it, I'mma root for that player as long as he is rockin' a Warriors jersey.

I predict a Warriors win tonight at the Clippers home turf. 137-134.
Steph Curry gets his first Quadruple Double.
Morrow goes off with 7 threes and 11 rebounds.
Tolliver gets 21 rebounds.

Baron drops 40 and 10.
Eric Gordon goes off on us.

Warriors win every game for the rest of the season because I said so. We ain't losin.

Go Warriors still! So what!

LGW (someone clap to this)

Mods. Please feel free to delete this once one of you guys open up a thread.

Brb. Bout to grab a brew and wait patiently for the game to start.

-chill.

This is an old article but it's dope that Morrow is a Pacquiao fan and appreciates Boxing like a lot of NBA players do. It's also dope how a lot of the Dubz players support Andre Ward as he shows the same by showing up to some Warriors games.

Hope Man-G guts it out tonight. I have been impressed with his consistent play and his 20-n-6 average is absolutely needed on this depleted team. (plus his 52.3% FG shooting) His ability to get to the line is much needed as well. It's been a tough season just with these injuries alone. Oh well. Coby Karl needs to step up and show he is consistent if he is the one granted with Magg's minutes.

I know folks want to BOO Stephen Jackson tonight, but I wanted to share this clip of a game that I really appreciated having him on our team. It was a great IN YOUR FACE LAKERS moment.

Golden State Of Mind Warriors will lose 21 Games.

...(out of the next 48 games).

Instead of sipping on that Kool Aide high that Marcus Thompson III quenched his thirst with during his morning interview with Murph n Mac on KNBR and instead of being one of the many extreme optimists of Warrior fans that exist in the world today that the Warriors will squeeze into the 8th spot to make the 2010 NBA Playoffs, I have decided to neglect that concentrated concept.

Instead I have decided to set the tone in persuading my mental capacitor to only focus on the other side of the half empty glass. That being convinced the Warriors WILL lose 21 games with the forced outcome of 27 wins for the next 48 total games.

Yez!

Yeah, wishful thinking. So what. I have spent my whole life with this ridiculous mindset being a Warrior fan and I’m sure many of you Warrior fans completely understand. (unless some of you lucky Warrior fans were fortunate enough to live through that 1975 Golden State Warriors Championship season.)

We are currently 10-24 but I remain optimistic that we will have a lot of good, watchable Warrior games coming ahead. There have been many frustrating moments and disappointments being caught up in distraught within these 34 games, but the past 6 games I really like what we’ve witnessed and what is starting to develop.

Even through our frustrating moments, I can still appreciate every single Warrior player that has been playing their guts out night in and night out, especially when this team was undermanned with injuries, having shooting slumps or not, having disappointing losses or not, and even having blowout unwatchable games or not.

I know these players love the game of hoops and always try their best. Most importantly when they come home to Oakland, I absolutely believe they really want to get every single win and put a great show for us. I just feel it in my gut when one of our Warrior players say, “We love our fans to death." "They really love their basketball here…” I just know their words are real and I absolutely believe them. Our appreciation for the team and players are reciprocated with the players themselves, and that’s just dope.

As far as what is being developed within the team, I just love what is being displayed. One of those displays is from our rookie Stephen Curry. I will admit that I seriously hated drafting him, not because I thought he sucked or anything, but only because I initially thought what Monta initially believed which was Curry not being a very good fit to our team and playing alongside Monta. I’m so glad that I am moded about that.

Man it’s been exciting to watch this cat ball. His shooting is starting to catch fire, I love how he respects Nellie’s expectations of him to be a playmaker first and shoot second, has a very high basketball IQ in knowing when to create for others or when to aggressively shoot, and I love his aggressiveness on weakside defense. I loved his highlight dime to Maggette vs. the Nuggets when he caught the pass from the key, drove it to the bucket, pulled a 180 and passed that rock to Maggz for the easy bucket. That was just smoov. Then he had that fast break vs. the Wolves where he dribbled behind his back, drove to the left corner pocket of the free throw line to stop drop and pop just like Mitch Richmond. (ya he looked more like Steve Nash on that play but at the end of the play I saw the "Rock" in him.) That was good to see.

It was also good to see Biedrins a couple times showing a little post game from inside the middle of the paint. I know it’s nothing dependable right now but I’m glad it existed. We could only hope it develops into a strong low post move that we can rely on to switch to an inside out game when run-n-gun or catch-n-shoot just ain't working.

I also like having Vlad Radman on our squad. I think he is a good big man to our team and can be a solid big once he really gets comfortable with us. He can rebound at times. He can play good defense at times. He can shoot the ball well (when he isn’t slumping). Yeah, so what if he is inconsistent. His critics expect way too much out of him. Seriously? What for? Why expect him to be Lebron James or a Tim Duncan with a 3 PT shot? To me it’s ridiculous to expect too much out of him or boo him. I think people just want to have someone they can boo or yell that they suck. I wish fans would only do that to the opposing team or if you are really that unhappy with that certain warrior player....a collective silence would be nice. Only in a perfect world.

Those were just a few things I wanted to bring up in this post about this current team but I also wanted to bring this one last unexpected thing:

[dramatic pause]

I was really glad for once we had Don Nelson coaching us for that game against the Boston Celtics at home...December 29, 2009... when we were up 101-98 with... 5 seconds left in the game or so?

Most (maybe 99%) NBA coaches would rather take the risk in the opposing team taking the 3 point shot to tie instead of the immediate foul. Nellie has been asked this question in the past from The Razor on KNBR and Nellie said he would go with the immediate foul. Thank GOD.

With me being one of the many big Nellie Haters out there, I wanted to take this moment of a post to praise Mr. Don Nelson’s coaching decision for that game. Even Phil Jackson wouldn’t make this decision, so I would like to take this time to applaud Don Nelson for once.

[ * applause * ]

un. freggin. believable.

I do like everybody on this Warriors squad and I will remain patient with this team. I can only hope the Basketball Gods will grant us some good luck to our request of good watchable Warrior basketball.

So I promised myself that I would not be that ridiculous, extreme optimist in saying the Warriors will make the playoffs this season. No. I sure won't.

Instead...

I would like to take a moment to waste your time and say:

GO WARRIORS STILL! 2010 NBA CHAMPS! SO WHAT!

[ *throws WaRRIORS headband at the world* ]

So I was pissed off that I couldn't watch the game on Monday because I had to work OT. Even though we got smashed on, I still wanted to see our Dubs play. I was able to listen to some of the game and I was very curious to see the highlight of Monta Ellis swatting KD. I love Kevin Durant, but caught nabz did he get tossed by ME8! Man! I was hoping orangino had a clip of this. Great job once again. Monta Ellis is straight up BALLIN from defense to offense. Ya TO's are way up. So what. He'll eventually cut it down.

Anthony Morrow to start tonight vs. Indiana.

I was distracted when I heard this on KNBR today. Anyone hear about this? I think they said A-Mo is starting at PG?? Are you serious??? Please tell me I was deaf during the time I heard this. If its true, I'm going to be pissed.

SHUT UP & PLAY!

So yo...I was driving home from work on Wednesday and had to take the alternate route on 880 because of that Big Rig accident on the Bay Briidge. (that alternate route sucked. So did the traffic. Waah.) Anyways, as I was driving past the Roaracle, I notice the big billboard sign in front. It reads: SHUT UP & PLAY! I was like. whoa. Is that a sign for Stephen Jackson? I started Laughing my Freggin Arse Off! Then I looked closer and it was a billboard add for Vegas. So then I was like..."oh." Has that sign always been there? Haven't been at the Roaracle in awhile. I missed that last preseason game when was held in Oakland. Anyone know? Or was it just put up recently? Well, just wanted to share this moment with you GSoM heads. Womp Womp.
