After the end of the Sabres Season, management had many decisions. Larry Quinn decided to keep Darcy and Lindy around for another go, and also hinted that a roster "shake-up" would occur. So out with the old, in with the new; this is what the Sabres should aim to accomplish.

On July 4, 2008, not even a day after trading right wing prospect Steve Bernier to Vancouver, Darcy Regier acquired Craig Rivet from San Jose, and the Sabres' indentity changed.
