By no means am I saying that I support Crabtree's decision, but this is an interesting take on the situation.  Click below to watch Deion talk in Crabtree's defense.  I personally feel that this would not have been near as big of an issue if his cousin(or uncle) would have kept his mouth shut.  Jamarcus Russell held out for over 6 weeks of the season and it wasn't this big of a deal.  I guess he was a 1st pick though and did not have the slotting issue to deal with.  Anyway, here is the clip.
