I am a 24 year old father of four .. My newest son was born the day the streak ended 10/10/10!! I work two jobs and spend much, if not all of my free time with my wife and children. One of my biggest passions in life is the Raiders. I had a bumper sticker since I was little which stated "I Bleed Silver and Black," and I have stood by that statement since I was a child. I was born and raised in Oceanside, CA .. So living amongst Charger fans my entire life, I've heard it all .. You learn a lot. The bumper stickers and the jerseys are never around when they're losing, but they sure do come out when the team is winning. That's why I'm proud of our fan base. Those loyal, will sport Raiders 365, 24/7.

When I was growing up, I was obsessed with wrestling .. I followed it religiously until the end of WCW. When this happened, I was just about twelve. I began watching MMA, and my passion for wrestling took a back seat for my new found love. About early 2009 , I was watching TV with my son's and RAW was on. They wanted to watch, so I left the program on. Instantly, they were cheering and it brought me back to the time when I was little and remembered how much wrestling had meant to me. The product was not the same, but I figured, if they like wrestling, I will watch it with them. Now, just like I watched and cherished watching boxing and wrestling with my father .. They too are doing the same, except they get the benefit of watching MMA as well.

Saw this all over Yahoo! right now and was wondering if anyone else knew anymore about this? I also read that he has already cut ties with the company. Link here.

Just wondering, why this comes out the day after he becomes Head Coach? Coincidence, or are they messing with him cause he's now the Raiders' HC?

I remember debating on this site before the season about not giving up on McFadden. I know this doesn't mean anything in the NFL, but can anyone remember when a Raider got even mentioned for being a candidate for MVP on ESPN? It's a long shot, but it's nice to see us getting some recognition, especially from ESPN. Where would McFadden be if he could have finished that Texans game and wouldn't have missed the other two? Who knows, just glad that he has stayed healthy after his last injury and has turned up his intensity.

Now I'm hearing how he's washed up and shouldn't have been playing in the first place from all these Charger fans .. Wasn't LT washed up as well? How's he doing? I don't think Merriman will be able to have the same success as LT though, but like all Chargers go on to a more successful team.

Silver And Black Pride Raiders Release Fargas

Raiders release RB Justin Fargas

It looks as though the Raiders got rid of Justin Fargas a few hours ago.  I assumed that this was going to happen as he was owed a big chunk of change .. I actually heard this news from my dad, before there was an official AP release.  While I believe Michael Bush is a good direction to go, it will be sad to see someone like Fargas go.  I know his statistics were not the best, but he had a heart, and was an inspirational leader.  There’s no doubt in my mind that if he had better physical abilities (say the speed of McFadden, strength of Bush), he would have been an unstoppable power house.  I believe I read on the website Zach Miller and Justin Fargas were both nominated for the Commitment to Excellence award .. It’s good to see that the Raiders at least acknowledged him.  The ceremony was on March 13?  If so I hope he still goes through with it.  Football is a business, and he deserves to be praised for his efforts.

On another note, I’ve followed Silver & Black Pride for awhile now.  I enjoy reading everyone’s input and how they feel the direction of the team should go.  It’s refreshing not hearing bashing of the Raiders constantly.  Being a diehard Raider fan from San Diego, I hear it on a constant basis.  It matters not however, as they have been my team and I will stick by them no matter what Mr. Davis decides to do.  I will try and respond more to these posts ..

Just a little about me .. I’m 22 and have a beautiful wife and three children and one on the way .. All little Raider fans .. I work two jobs and spend most (if not all) of my free time with them.  I catch the Raider games by taking the family out to any (family) establishment I can when it’s not on TV (which is a lot down here).  Anyway, don’t want to bore anyone, was just looking for a way to introduce myself.  Hope to talk to you all about one of my greatest passions, The Oakland Raiders ..
