I am a journalist in the frozen north of Canada, but was raised by American parents who passed on their love of baseball to me. I became a fan of the Cubs in 1987 when the Hawk joined the team. To date I have been to eight games at Wrigley Field and my home record is a sterling 0-8. That's right, I've never seen the Cubs win at home. In 2008 I was selected to buy tickets for the NLCS in the Cubs lottery and seriously considered not buying tickets, knowing I would likely curse them. Luckily the boys in blue didn't give me a chance to bring them to defeat.
My career has given me some great Cubs-related opportunities inlcuding interviewing Fergie Jenkins, Mark Grace and Jody Davis. I will be headed to Seattle this June to cheer on the Cubs in interleague play and boo he who shall not be named, but will likely be (mis)playing right field for the Mariners.
