I believe it is time to bring up Davis with the recent news on Blalock. Evan has a new story on him on the DMN Blog. This does not sound very encouraging, but then again what did we expect from Blalock. He follows up one injury with another. We are falling out of the race everytime we fail to get 2 games over .500. I would rather bring him up and let him see what he can do while their is still a little hope to salvage the season. Let him taste a little pressure instead of succeeding when we are 20 games out. We have had too many players in this organization (Tex comes to mind) that perform with no pressure. While when we need it that falter. I think with Blalock being out for another month I would say, This is the perfect time to have a lineup with Davis playing 1st. Max 1st,dh, and C and Salty behind the plate everyday. I would also release Shelton now, not when Blalock returns and call up Cruz. We could use the extra outfielder with Bradley and Hamilton dinged up. Remember we are building for 2009-10 not 2008. Let the kids play they might suprise you JD.
