Why the Cards will go +$100m soon.
I think the Cardinals could be headed for a significant increase in payroll, maybe only 10 million, maybe 20-30 million (less likely), but there a several reasons for my thinking this. I do not write here very often anymore, and am not sure if someone has already done this or if it warrants a fanpost, but I think it might start some conversation. If not, just say so and I will remove it.

Practice Squad
Today this is what has happened via NFL.com
Ian Campbell (DE) practice squad addition.
Sean Walker (WR) practice squad addition.
Dominic Douglas (LB) practice squad addition.
K.C. Asiodu (LB) practice squad addition.
Nate Jones (WR) cut.
Cord Parks (CB) practice squad addition.
Quinton Culberson (LB) cut.
Eric Butler (TE) practice squad addition.
Anthony Smith (S) acquired from waivers.
LaJuan Ramsey (DT) acquired from waivers.
That leaves 2 Practice Squad spots left and they are attempting to get Ogbonnaya on there. So there is still one practice squad spot left, and we still only have 4 WR's. So there are still a few moves to be made this week.
Justin Speier Released
The Angels released the right-handed reliever. He did not have a great ERA at a little over 5. I think he would be worth giving a shot since he would cost just the minimum and Duncan could work with him and see what he can do. He is 35.
San Francisco 49ers receiver Michael Crabtree is prepared to sit out this season and re-enter the NFL draft in 2010, David Wells, Crabtree's cousin and adviser, said Thursday.
Week of Deadline Rumor Thread
We are now about a week away from the non-waiver trading deadline. I thought it might be a good idea to make a hot-stove-like catch all thread to discuss trade ideas and rumors that come up in the next week. This way there can still be discussion over the smaller rumors that don't really need a fanpost.
I will start things off by discussing some things that I feel may help the team.

Rams Trade
The Rams aqcuired Wide Receiver Ronald Curry from the Detroit Lions in exchange for Defensive End Orien Harris
I have no idea about either of these players. I'm too focused on the current Cardinals baseball drama. But this was brought to my attention via text and I thought I'd share it.
If you know anything about either player, please share it. If you know how this affects the Rams, share that as well. I assume this helps us in the receiver department.
