playoff question
i am trying to think about all the likely playoff scenarios. somebody help me and make sure i got this right. lets say jacksonville(9-7) loses a game and they are totally out of it. denver(11-5), baltimore(10-6), and miami(10-6) all win out. the patriots(10-6) lose 1 game. that would put the dolphins as the division winner in the east because they would either have a better division record or better conference record. denver would be in the 1st wildcard spot because they would be 11-5. that means the 2 teams left would be the patriots and ravens for the 2nd spot and they would beat us out because of the head to head.

To a T
i told everyone cambpell would struggle. I told everyone portis would not be effective.. I told everyone Flacco would be effective. I told everyone the Redskins would lose. We'll see you in four years. I knew you were mediocre at best. Ravens Lead Battle of the Beltway 3-1. Next possible year that redskins could own the belt 2020 thats if you win the next three games which impossible for a lousy franchise.
Fail to the Redskins. Fail Miserably

Whats up Beltway Brothers
For the first time in history your Washington Redskins(1-2) will head to Baltimore(2-1) to play the Ravens in a regular season game. The Redskins, the only team currently to never play a game in Baltimore, will try to get a win against a Ravens team which is almost flawless at home and 6 and 1 in the past 7 games. Many people feel the skins are already in must win situation due to the strength of play in the NFC this year, and their play as of late has forced them into this situation. We can clearly see that the Ravens are thinking about post season and positioning themselves for a run at the division. With these two teams going in opposite directions lets look at some key head to head matchups that could be highlighted on national television this weekend.
Clinton Portis vs. Ravens Rush Defense/ i say dont play him. he'll just get hurt. no sense in risking him for the rest of the season. plus that league leading rusher status for portis will go away. adrian peterson now will have that.
Jason Campbell vs. Ravens Blitz/ you better hope he moves better than he does in that Eastern Motors commercial. He is gonna make some bad decisions against a defense that preys off of mediocre quarterbacks.
Joe Flacco vs. Redskins Defense/ weve already seen this year that a quarterback in his first year out of a Minor League college is better than your 4 year investment in one of the greatest handoff quarterbacks in the history of college football. Joe Flacco has shown that he is the real deal. Watch him run this offensive effectivley and expect him to score either in the air, on the ground, or at the recieving end.
Let me know if there is any matchups that you are interested in seeing.
Come up and get a ticket this weekend.
This will be the last game that counts for you.
We own the BELTWAY

Why we will beat indiacrapolis this week
Luck is on our sides this week ladies and gentlemen. The last time Harbaugh faced Peyton Manning and the Colts we had a miraculous come from behind win that was filled with offense. Of course that was Jim and not John and it was 10 years ago but who cares. Maybe Coach Harbaugh can call his bro up and see if he's got any insider info on how to win this game.
Seriously i do think the colts defense will be much easier of a setting for Flacco than the past two weeks have been. We should be able to run the ball more effectively(more McClain) which should set up the pass. I saw Todd Heap play the other day and it would be really nice to see Flacco able to throw to two targets now instead of just Mason but we'll see.
We have got to dominate the whole game, not some of it. Score Points, Make sacks (none in the past 6 quarters), And be able to take advantage of the only thing weve ever been able to do(kick feildgoals) Right now Im very worried about matt stover. Our entire special teams must get better. Kickoff and Punt returns have looked weak. Kickoff coverage has looked weak. If Harbaugh, the former special teams coach can get that back in order we could have a good chance this week. I dont like Indiacrapolis. And i dont like referee's at all.

Heap is garbage
Todd Heap has been injury prone and a sissy for many years now. I am absolutely tired of his effort and performance. The only time you heard his name get called last night was for a holding penalty. I am finished with him. In a Cam Cameron offense that is supposed to be built around tight ends Todd Heap has shown that not only is he not even a shell of himself, he is nothing at all. If anyone can tell me in recent memory when the last time Todd Heap has done anything for this team i would like to know. Heap must go. If we dont bench him he'll be injured soon anyway. Mason cant carry the load by himself. Hey mr. heap tell me where have you been.

The NFL Treatment
I know you might have felt that in the past that Baltimore is always the team that is getting the shaft by the NFL. The fieldgoal that wasnt good but then mysteriously was even though there wasnt a replay at the end of the Browns game. Numerous challenges that wouldnt go our way for the duration of the Billick Era. I can remember Will Demps picked up a ball against the bengals and ran it to the house only to find out that the play had been whistled dead. More recently we were shafted on the changing of our bye to the second week of the season. But hold on Ravens fans its not that bad.
What happened to San Diego yesterday at the end of thier game with Denver was the biggest load of crap i have ever seen the NFL produce. That blown call or whatever you want to call it, directly costed the Chargers a win.
So starting off after two weeks of the season we have already seen the NFL screw a few teams out of their original bye weeks due to a lack of planning for a weather situation (One that the didnt have an answer for 2 years ago), and weve seen them cost a team a division win because a zebra was not able to take the whistle out of his mouth.
I sure hope it gets better from here on out because im already annoyed. I wanted to watch the game yesterday and i dont have anything to think about today. Hurry up 415 this sunday against the poop browns.

Troy Smith Shows whats up
When i watched our team perform in this first of four preseason games i saw many positive things from our quarterbacks. Kyle Boller remains consistent in showing that he can still take the big hit when throwing an interception or dropping the ball. Also, Rookie Joe Flacco rebounded well after his debacle of a start and showed us he knew the victory formation. But in all seriousness Troy Smith is impressive. I think he emerges as the leader in this group. Smith showed that he was comfortable and very agile in the pocket. His speed proves well to counteract an offensive line that is struggling as of recent years. And in all seriousness he is just coming off a win against the Steelers. Sounds like he's the starter to me. Beating Pittsburgh makes you a champion in my book.
Defensively we look good. Dont need to relish on that fact that we have been and always will be the best defense in history. But the new edition that stuck out the most was Fabian Washington. Who would of thought you take a player of the raiders and he becomes a star again? Although Washington may not have the starpower of Moss hes out to prove he is worthy of a starting spot even though putting the team at a disadvantage by missing the home opener.
