Ginn/Bess

Okay, there is a distinct difference in the return abilities between both of these guys. Devon Bess is more of a Welker like returner who is not going to bust a 90 yard punt/or kickoff for a TD. This is supposed to be a guy who is safe with the football and help with stability just as Welker did. Ginn on the other hand has the ability to break a return wide open, his hands are much more in question than Bess (even though Bess had the ball stripped from his hands in the SD game).

My solution is that I would like to see Ginn return kickoffs and keep the punt duties in the hands of Bess. Sometimes I believe Ginn hears footsteps when returning punts. Yesterday there was an instance where Ginn could have made a catch (fair) and save possession yards for the offense (approx 20 yards). The next one where he had a return of 11 yards he dropped the ball and if the punt was not a bomb like it was it could have been a turnover. Last year I recall where he had a turnover in the Buffalo game @ Buffalo....The Dolphins need to have a guy with sure hands and can limit mistakes when returning punts. Bess also is a more shifty guy where making the first guy miss in punt situations suits him much better than Ginn who thrives on pure speed.

Ginn is too valuable as a return man to keep him out all together. He has room to make moves and plays in the kick return game. It is not going to take too much away from his duties in the passing game.

Thoughts?

I read that Ronnie left the game with an injury to his thumb? Is there any report out yet about how bad it is?

Can't afford to have a guy like that go down now. Ricky has been running so well. Ronnie going down would really hurt b/c then Ricky has to carry the entire load.

Henne seemed to have a good night. Ginn making some good plays is really good to see. Early chemistry with C.P. with Ginn.

30 yards and a TD for Ricky.

Chad stepped up and hit a 22 yard pass to Ted Ginn. This is good to see. Getting in the endzone is a rare sight. After not being in the RED ZONE the ENTIRE game last week this is nice to see so early against a good Jacksonville team.

Let's hope this continues. Being a FINS fan i know better...

One can hope that this is more than just a good first quarter drive in Pre-season

There is not too much coverage on this guy. Is he going to make the team based on his return abilities? I hear good things about his speed, but he lacks size. I want to know how he is stacking up at practice. I know he will not be an option at WR right now. Practice team?

Who do you want to see return punts, Kicks?

who will be the return guy Ginn, Bess, or Foster???

I am leaning toward Ginn so that we don't ahve another rookie out there again.

I really want to see Henne, Beck, and Josh footage during camp.

It only does so much hearing how they are doing and not seeing it.

Especially Henne. I want him to be the guy, but not week 1. We all saw how bad it is to throw a rookie to the wolves. John Beck may never recover from what Cam did to him last year....putting him out there with no offensive line and no healthy RB.

Does anyone have a good link to footage?
