I've seen this article about these two, and a friend read another where it was between Tommy and the Air Force coach.

Double-T Nation Advice needed. (Evil ex broadcaster is involved)

I have been invited to a dinner here in town featuring Craig James. Supposedly, he is very open and will discuss the Tech incident and all of that with anyone. I'm being told he welcomes Tech fans so they can hear his side of the story. A part of me says that I should go, copies of court depositions in hand, and debate his lies in order to call him out in front of his possible constituents. The other part of me (and my fiancee) says to just let it go because it's at a local business owner's house, the same house that some Conservative Republicans of Texas type events are held at. Will anyone listen to reason or just buy the "conservative label"? How long until I got kicked out for respectfully presenting facts? Would it be the owners or police officers getting me out? If you were in my situation, what would you do any why?

If a coach can be fired for "allegedly mistreating a player", and another for "alleged domestic abuse"... why would one not be fired for alleged fraud of this caliber?

The employee shot was a friend of mine. Please pray for his close friends and family, if that's the sort of thing you do.

Skydive sex? How could that not be awesome? He's working on forgetting last week's game I guess. (Note-I realize this isn't our Alex Torres, but I thought it too funny)

I absolutely love our response. Write this down: I actually like something our administration did!

I saw this and thought it was cool, sorry if its advertising Seth. I'm in no way affiliated here. However I did find out that the reason they dont sell Tech thongs is that Tech wont allow the licensing to do such.

So the administration is either:
A. The epitome of class. Or
B. They don't like women's rear ends...

I'm gonna say we're a classy bunch. The ags have Aggie thongs, so they are the true classless clowns.

It's not a good source or anything like that, but found it crazy that a columnist here is saying OU, OK St, Texas, and Tech to Pac-16

Double-T Nation I'm saving the Spring Game tailgate experience

Since RaiderDoc won't be able to hold his tailgate, me and a buddy of mine will be on North Commuter probably between 10 and 11. It won't be nearly as good as RaiderDoc's would have been, but its something anyways.  We'll have beer pong, washers, broom kick, and a football set up.  I suggest BYOB because we're broke college kids.  We'll also have an old propane grill out there, so if you have anything you want cooked just bring it along.  I'll be away from the computer until then, so if you come out look for a black F-150 with black rims, black grill, illegal tint, and blacked out tail lights playing texas country music.  I'll be the overly tall guy wearing khaki cargo shorts, red tech t-shirt, and black tech baseball cap with green under the bill.  Anyone that wants to come out is more than welcome.

Reckless Kelly will be performing at this one. Begins at 10 am, location is listed on the link. We have the entire front right corner (Stage Left). Come on over for some breakfast taco's, screwdriverish punch, ale, and whatever else we decide to bring or have brought to us!

Double-T Nation RaiderDoc hasn't posted his info yet so just in case, here it goes

I am holding my usual RaiderGate tailgate Saturday. It should begin around 330 for us.  We have 6 spots along the front, and Mark McKinney is playing.  We have at least 30 stuffed dove, probably fajitas, beer, and Donkey Punch.  All of you are completely welcome to join in the festivities, although I'll warn you it will be a lot of college kids like myself and fairly recent graduates.  We have a good time though.  Washers and two stepping is about all we do.  Any of you in Lubbock this weekend are more than welcome to attend, so let's make this party happen.  If you partake in food and drink, donations to help pay for it are greatly appreciated but definitely not required. RaiderGate is in the parking lot between the Chemistry building and Stangel-Murdough

Double-T Nation I need help!

My ride to College Station backed out last second because after paying $150 for photos of his band, he couldn't afford the trip.  So here I am in Lubbock killing my liver.  Is the game really not televised anywhere?  No internet feed or anything? I need to see Pearlie force aTm to go to their 3rd string quarterback, I need to see Sticks come with a huge lead and double that lead in one quarter, I need to see the Aggies cry!!!

Double-T Nation Why I'm tired of hearing from apologists.

Facts are facts. I'm just tired of hearing it. I will attempt to explain my frustrations further below. As many of you know, I am a 4th year senior here at Tech, so I will only discuss these 4 years because they hold my biggest memories.

Year 1- I'll admit that the '07 season opener was my first time to attend a Tech sporting event. I was in awe at the electricity around campus before and during that first game. Students packed the Jones and were loud, really loud. I had never witnessed anything like it before. I was quickly taught the “correct” version of the fight song to sing at football games, I saw a freshman get punched in the jaw for swaying during the school song because “We're not F-ing Aggies” afterall. I quickly fell in love with the pirate them embraced by so many, it just seemed to fit. We went on to win all but one game at home, and the one loss was to Colorado and I woke up and sprinted from Coleman hall to the Jones with a hangover just in time to catch the opening kickoff. I was devastated after that loss, but the team went on to win several more games they weren't supposed to. We destroyed an aTm team after Japorky Lane guaranted a victory, and we finished by upsetting an otherwise national championship destined OU. (And yes I rushed the field) Me and 8 strangers teamed up and attended the Gator Bowl, where we once again came from behind for an unexpected win. Everyone was excited for the '08 and '10 seasons right then.

Year 2-This was our year from the beginning, and everyone knew it. Our team and our fans just had a swagger about them that was unmatchable. We played a couple of close games to start off the season, yet it seemed we just knew everything was going to be ok. Sure enough, it was. The stadium was silenced for the first time in my short time during the Nebraska game as we headed into OT. Then, we pulled it out and got the win and everyone just knew we were still destined for great things. Tech was finally turning the corner. Then Texas came to town, with a swagger to match our own. That will forever be one of the most relived moments of my life. I'm sure my children will grow extremely tired of hearing about how that one time Tech amounted to something, and with all eyes on Lubbock, we showed the world that we were here to compete. Then the unimaginable happened, we forgot to show up to play in Norman, and the Sooners reminded us that our crap did stink and Lubbock smells like a pig farm from time to time. Then lets don't forget the cotton bowl curse, but in all fairness our QB did have a shattered throwing hand at the time. Even with the bowl loss, our fans were still rabid for more. Many of us expected only a decent showing in '09, but were already counting on another shot at the title in '10.

Year 3-I'll keep this one short. I think we all expected a good, but not extraordinary year after losing Harrel, Crabtree, Vasquez, Reed, McBath, and several other of our major playmakers. Well, we got just that, a good 9 win year. Sure, there were some bumps and bruises aquired along the way and a few questionable calls by our pirate, but we all knew it would be ok. In this year I witnessed the second home loss in 3 years, and I hated it. But we finished out the regular season well, and the word began to spread about our 16 returning starters. We were here to stay, and the nation was beginning to accept that. Then disaster struck, our beloved pirate became a victim of mutiny in the worst way. But we won our bowl game, and everyone thought we would move an assistant coach to head coach and keep on rolling. But that didn't happen either. Instead, Tommy Tuberville was brought in to be our savior and turn the program around. He came in talking championships and promising to keep our Air Raid in tact. I feel that most of us bought into this, and we were ready to roll in '10

Year 4-The excitement from the past continued in that first game against SMU, and even though we played it close, most of us had become accustomed to a slow start by this Tech team. Then our offense still wasn't rolling against a terrible NMU defense... we began to worry. Then came time for Texas, and our offense did absolutely nothing. RaiderNation was becoming wary of the great change our Head Coach kept emphasizing. Then we lost to Iowa St, and gave up more points to them than they have scored in their history. Maybe the defense that was supposed to be improved wasn't improved so much after all. Now, only halfway into the season, I have seen Tech lose 3 games, 2 of which were at home. In 6 games we have doubled the home losses over my time at Tech. Raider Nation has been silenced, and that excitement and swagger about upcoming seasons have been lost. We are, once again, little old Tech that means nothing in the national picture. This doesn't sit well with me.

I'll discuss why I don't approve of Tuberville as a head coach after the jump.

Double-T Nation I may not be on DTN much for the next couple of weeks.

While some will agree with me, I feel like i'm going to piss off entirely to many sunshine pumpers if I'm on here much.  I look at the facts, and the fact of the matter is that we just had our asses handed to us by Iowa Fucking State!  I can't blame Potts this time, he threw the screen and mile high lob to Leong very well.  Our defense played great last week, didnt show up tonight.

[Note by Seth C, 10/03/10 9:07 AM CDT ] I took out the reference to politics as I just didn't see that it was necessary and I've asked folks lots of times to keep politics out of the DTN.

I do not like Tommy Tuberville, I will not ever again call him anything relating to Jesus Christ.  Blasphemy from here on out in my book. He should go back to running a catfish joint, because he has obviously forgotten the game of football.  Let me take you back two weeks to when we punted on 4th down with less than two minutes left to the longhorns then later tried to stop the clock by calling timeouts.  Why?  Man gets paid over $2,000,000 a year to give up on his team?  I let that slide.  Then tonight, down by two scores again.  Dives up the middle and short 5 yard max passes up the middle.  I may just be a senior engineer major, but even I know that the main point of a two minute drill is to get to the edge and try to stop the clock.  But alas!  We have the riverboat gambler who basically says F*$# the clock, we dont need it.  He insisted on kicking the ball short every kick off, when they consistently returned it into our territory.  Why not use that hoof that the real Jesus Christ gave Carona and kick it deep every time? Why?!  And why do you say you are not going to change the offense, then completely ground the air raid?  Me and some buddies drank Kraken rum (excellent btw, 97 proof and better than Captain or Sailor Jerry's any day. Try it and you'll love it.)  and Lone Star heavy our first go round watching it.  Then after sobering we watched again and counted.  Here's what we saw.  Entire game, 5 passes that were more than 15 yards in the air.  3 were TD's, the other two overthrown no harm done.  We're talking about 60% of our deep balls being TD's here, yet we only do it 5 times!  Um.... why?  Can someone please explain what this senile old man is thinking here?!  One more thing, why say Sticks will get more playing time, then play him for 1 play?  Seriously? 1 play?  I'm at a loss for words on what our coaching staff is thinking.

So... I'll be heading home and taking a break from bow hunting to go to Dallas saturday.  Baylor had 619 yards in 3 quarters today, so I'm only going for the concerts,  and fried beer, guacamole, and queso.  We better get our act together, a loss to Baylor in Dallas will kill not only football recruiting, but school recruiting as well.

I have a solution though!  How many of you DTNers would take a coaching job at Tech for 100k a year?  We cannot do any worse, I promise, and would save the school about $5,000,000 a year... I think.  Seth, email the school please sir hahaha.  And on a completely separate, yet amusing note, we now have bleachers beside our beer pong table.  That's right, F'ing wood bleachers by a beer pong table. I win.  See you ladies and gents in Dallas.

"It's going to be double the size (of the old one) and HD, which is huge because right now you can't see anything on there," Tuberville said. "(With the old one), you have to be real close and it's real fuzzy. That was one of the first ones that came out, so this one is going to be a refreshing view for coaches, players and fans alike.
