A new twist on a dead joke. Not even the King of all Interrupters could recall a worse decision.

Halos Heaven Kowbell Snubbery

So I see a story on Yahoo Sports by Gordon Edes in which he contrasts this year's underachievers with players who have overachieved, position by position.  I just know I'm going to be reading about our beloved Kendry when first base is discussed, but lo and behold, Edes lets us know how incredibly Billy Butler has performed this year in Kansas City.  His reasoning: 45 doubles.  That's right.  Butler has hit 13 fewer home runs, driven in 21 runs less, has a lower OPS and slugging percentage in 30 more AB's than Morales, but apparently his five extra doubles puts him over the top.  He then goes on to tell us what a great accomplishment hitting 45 doubles is at the age of 23, but then immediately lists SEVEN CURRENT players who have achieved the same feat(?)- two of which had done it TWICE!  And we all know how important those 45 doubles have been to the Royals this year.

Halos Heaven Adenhart Memorial Photos

I was in the neighborhood today, so I decided to stop by the stadium to check out the Adenhart memorial. Of course, I forgot my camera, but I did manage to bring along one of them mobile communication machines that are so popular with the kiddies these days, and it just so happens to be conveniently equipped with a memory-capturing device. I think they came out pretty decent considering the 3.2 megapixel capabilities and the fact that I couldn't see the screen in the sunlight. It really is something that needs to be seen first hand and up close. It's a bit overwhelming.  Makes me proud of our fans, and equally as proud to be one.

Chone Figgins talks with The Mota Dictionary (FU, Bucky) about his name, the team's 09 struggles, and what it means to be, or not to be, an All -Star. Three clips total.

So I hit the StumbleUpon button on my Firefox browser, and it brought up one of those random humorous photo pages, and this gem was sitting atop the list. It took me a moment or two to notice the bee- perhaps of Salt Lake origin. OK, that was corny.

Here is the new Stars n Stripes edition New Era Cap that will be worn on July 4th and September 11th. I prefer it to last year's blue model, and the flag looks better. Thoughts?

Ok, sure it serves as a reminder of Moseley's control issues, but at least we have this photo to show for it.

Halos Heaven A toast to '08...

Well, we made it.  The season is upon us.  So won't you please join me in a toast in honor of our boys?  To a healthy and productive 2008, and another dance in October.  Feel free to reply with your glasses raised.  Oh, and please do not jinx us by toasting with water!!!  Cheers, fellow Halo fans!
