Reggie Bush's Heisman Trophy
Feb 02, 2011 May 29, 2012 2 38
My childhood was just like any other Heisman's. I was taught in school that, if I worked hard, I would be awarded to a great athlete and all of my dreams would be within my outstretched arm's reach. I had many ambitions. I desired to one day travel somewhere warm, possibly Gainseville or Austin. Once there, I hoped to meet a nice trophy, I had heard that MVP awards and Lombardi trophies were quite the lookers. My hard work was rewarded in 2005, when I was given to a running back from Southern California. I was ecstatic! I would be going to one of the best places to live in America with arguably one of the most productive players in college football history. Then my life took a horrible turn for the worse. In 2010 I was told that I would be given back to the Heisman Trust, stripped of the glory that I had rightfully earned. I was ripped away from my friends - and I had just started getting to know that cute Lombardi trophy across the hall - and sent back to cold, gray New York. As one might guess, this whole series of events has left me bitter and pessimistic, thus I fill the gaping hole in my life by writing about sports... I hate my life.
