I live in Reno, but have been a fan of the Chiefs since about '88 thanks to Okoye. I've only made it to one game-the loss to Indy in '03. And I only made it that year because I was stationed in craptacular Oklahoma. Hopefully I can make it back this year.

....but in reality is this will be coach Dennis Allen's defense. And he's got all kinds of problems.

This is an interesting read about our new QB Ricky Stanzi. This may have been gone over here before, but I just came across it and thought it was worth reading.

A "smart" team will pick him up... I like that.

Where to watch the playoffs?

Hello Niners Nation! I am heading down to your area tonight to watch the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl tomorrow. I am in search of a place to watch the playoffs tomorrow morning. I'd like to find a sports bar close to AT&T Park with a good atmosphere. Thanks in advance for any help. Congrats on Harbaugh by the way, I think he's going to be an excellent coach. With the talent your team has, you win your division next year easy!

Where to watch the Chiefs play while in San Francisco? I am headed down there for the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl, and need a place to watch the game that morning. Anybody from that area know of a good place to watch the game? Preferably near AT&T Park.

Thanks!

Draft Help!

I am in a draft today for the first time. Unfortunately, I'm playing in a 12-team league with IDP. And, every else has been playing FF for 10 or more years.

I'm flying into Kansas City a week from today! I'm hoping some fellow AP'ers can tell me where to go for the good BBQ and Chiefs schwag. I'll be in town for 2 weeks.

However, Cutler may have an issue with Bears offensive coordinator Ron Turner. Coming out of high school, Cutler thought he had a scholarship to the University of Illinois, where Turner was the head coach. Cutler has said Turner pulled the scholarship late in the recruiting process, resulting in his going to Vanderbilt.

Arrowhead Pride Trade LJ and TG to the Eagles?

From the Bleacher Report

"Word is, that no matter how much the Chiefs say that Tony Gonzalez doesn’t want to be traded, people close to him have said different.

Larry Johnson has also seemed to have worn out his welcome in KC, and will most likely be put on the trading block, if he’s not there already.

So what does this mean for the Eagles? Plenty.

Most fans would agree that our biggest need is a big back to complement Brian Westbrook, and to upgrade at the tight end position. Johnson and Gonzalez would solve both of those problems, respectively.

Granted, Gonzalez isn’t young anymore and Johnson has a lot of miles on him, but they would be better than anything we could find in the Draft while contributing immediately.

The going rate on a tight end seems to be a second and a fifth. This would be no problem for the Eagles to oblige because of their abundance of draft picks, and is well worth it for one of the greatest tight ends to ever play the game.

Johnson is still a great talent, and would be a wonderful second punch to Westbrook because of his combination of size and agility.

Because of how disgruntled he is, the Chiefs may part ways with him for a third-round pick and a veteran player, maybe a guy like Matt Schobel or Reggie Brown.

These are obviously short-term solutions, so the positions would still need to be addressed. Perhaps the Eagles could still grab Pettigrew in the first round, or maybe Cornelius Ingram out of Florida in the fourth (if he‘s still there, which is a possibility), while grabbing a guy like “Beanie” Wells or LeSean McCoy with our other first round pick.

This way we have veteran guys who can fill in immediately for a couple years, while grooming the younger talent.

This would be a huge deal to go down for the Eagles since they have a problem with parting ways with draft picks, but they may do it if they don’t feel their rookies would be able to contribute right away."

What do you think? Would either of these deals be a good idea?  If we traded LJ for a third-round pick and a veteran, who would you want?

Arrowhead Pride Cassel vs. Cutler

I know this has been talked about before, but I'm getting tired of the talk about how "great" Cutler is, or that he's better than Cassel.  (I'm also avoiding work while waiting for some news.)  If you look at the stats between the two during their first full year, Cassel put up better numbers.  Of course the supporting staff was different between the two teams, but Cassel hadn't started a game since high school!  That means a lot IMO.  Anyway, take a look at the numbers and tell me what you think.

Cutler

One other thing that worries me is the fact that Cassel doesn't have a number.  Matt Cassel has been a Chief for weeks now, yet the roster still lists his number as 0.  Mike Vrabel has his number, which was easy , but no such luck for Cassel.  I'm pretty sure this is nothing to worry about, but I wanted to see what everybody else thought.  There are numerous articles like this around the web.

Personally, I don't want Cutler anywhere near KC.  Also, this is my first post so let me know what I screwed up.
