Reggie Williams Signs with Spanish Team
$1.5 M for the season with a buy out clause. I wonder what this means for the team's ability to retain him.
Charles Jenkins' passing ability
Article from Sebastian Pruiti about the passing ability of the guards that were taken in the draft. Gives Jenkins a fairly high grade.
NBA Today- Larry Riley
On the NBA Today podcast, Ryen Russilo speaks to Larry Riley. Haven't listened yet, but I think most Warriors fans would want to hear it.
EDIT: URL goes straight to the file now.
NBA Today (Today, 12/10)
They had David Thorpe on as a guest to discuss his redraft that he just put out and there were 2 things today that caught my attention:
First, he mentions that, outside of the playoffs, teams pretty much take a whole off-season to catch up to scouting on players. A lot of posters said this last year, but it seemed to be ignored or disregarded. This should put to rest the idea that teams were really gameplanning for Monta last season. This comes up about 34 minutes in while discussing Tyreke Evans.
The main thing he says is about Ekpe Udoh at about 40 minutes. "In my next re-draft, I'd be surprised if he's not top 5 as long as he's getting playing time. Udoh has a chance to be one of the best 3 players in this class." He goes on to say that he could also not, but this still really caught my attention.
Basketball Prospectus Defensive Stats
and
http://www.basketballprospectus.com/card.php?id=ellismo01
This is mostly a question directed at the stats guys on this site. I'm looking at their dMULT ratings. Curry's is much worse than Ellis', but he was listed at SG and Ellis was listed PG. I'm really sure that Curry at least defended PGs for the whole season. Did their stats get switched because of this? I'm pretty new to Basketball Prospectus stats (thanks onlxn), so I was hoping to get some info on this.
Also- is dMULT even a good stat? I read their explanation on it and it seems like a stat that could be useful.
