I am excited  for the fact that I believe half way through the season we will be a DC worse nightmare. It will be extremely hard to plan for our offense after it gels. McCoy, Ash, Brown, Monroe, and Goodwin all bring something to the table and with some plays that have some of them together can be crazy.

I will even say GG can bring something as a rotation cause I notice he has a good line with Mike Davis. When they connect its good. So I could see GG in with a couple of hand offs to Brown, and play action to Davis.

We are not there yet as a team, but hopefully by the RRS we can be just enough to stick it up OU's crack!!!

Hi guys, I am going to the game this weekend, and just seeing what everyone is doing. Family is out of town visting her family, and I am going  to go see the Longhorns!!! I am going to go see this game and the UCLA game before I PCS to Virginia, and just wanted to see who is tailgating, going to games and what not. Hope to catch a couple of you sometime Saturday, I will get to Austin from SA around 12ish. I have been a reader of this blog since before you joined blognation, back in 04 or 05. I know I dont get to post a lot, but between being deployed and working here I spend more time catching up and just reading to entertain my self then actually being an addition to this place. Besides Craigslist where would be the best place to get tickets for these two games. Really wanna go to these games cause they will be last games here before I PCS to Virginia. I want to be able to get some good seats, I know the UCLA game will be a harder game to come by because of the interest!! Unfortunately I am moving to Virginia here soon and that kinda sucks cause it will be harder to watch Longhorn games!!!!

I am going to be in Austin this weekend for a TYFA game. My game is at 4 and the UT game is at 6. The plan was to after my game head over to the stadium and see if there was any tickets outside that I could catch. What do you guys think? Could I get decent price, my attitude is if I get some good tickets yea , if not I wont be butt hurt, we might just tail gate. Any insight would be good. I have TYFA games on Saturdays and this is the one day that aligns up but not sure exactly what time I will be done.  Not sure how the outside ticket vendors are, (trying not to call them scalpers.) But thought of it as an idea!! Would appreciate any thoughts guys,

Apparently Texas A&M had a break in in their locker room and someone left a UT message for them in the carpet. Not sure all the details or what exactly is going on. Maybe its just a way to try to pump up A&M and make them want revenge, maybe some of our fans decided to act like the sheep herders , not sure. I need only a few more words so here I go. Hey everyone, I am finally back stationed in Texas, (San Antonio) and finally going to get to go see my first live Texas game with the family. Where is the best place to get tickets, and of course can I get some good tips for game day. I know this is a lil early , but I want to be ready, I think I am going to the Colorado game, (would love the Tech game but It is probably allready sold out, not sure) but any game would be nice. Greg Schiano the head coach for Rutgers pulled a scholarship from a star recruit. Apparently the kid was in some type of juvie trouble and he decided it was best to do that. I like that. He doesnt want any trouble makers on his team. That says a lot for him. Whether the kid is really a sour apple is not known, but apparently he is a badass, so he will be picked up somewhere. (maybe Miami, LOL) But I wish more coaches would do this.

I am really looking foward to K state next year. A chance at beating them after last years episode. And also a decent, (hopefully), Big 12 game before handing Stoops his ass on a silver platter. I think that is my most anticipated game of the year so far. But of course all the games are most anticipated.
  What is everyones anticipated game. I have to admit I will get a chuckle out of playing Ark state. Being stationed at Arkansas for 6 years I hate and loath all Arkansas football. (Except for The Rhinos, a small semi pro team I got to play with for half season.)

   I am back and happily moved in to a house instead of my cramped lil apartment. Just waiting for the lil one to pop out. Finally got to watch KD and WOW. The A&M game was awesome. I am stoked about football and basketball. Anyways I should be posting more. Hook 'em and OU SUCKS

Hey guys, just sitting here thinking about the season and how it went compared to what I was hoping. 9-3 isnt the end of the world, but difinately is a stark contrast to the last 2 years.
  I remember at the beginning of the season all the hope and glee that follows into the season. The hopes for dominance and more. I missed the first game due to visiting the parents in laws, ( they have a subscription to Skynet which is beamed outta a lil shop in mexico that also sells gorditas out the front porch). I did get to see the Ohio St game and thought to myself, wow, ummm, what happened.
  Then after that I got deployed and now I am here in the desert watching Via what lil TV and internet I can get. The oklahoma game was spent watching the first half in internet cast cussing and screaming. Then went to the chow hall and watched the second half. I even had my wife tape it and send it to me. I still love the kid crying. ( i know I am a sick sick bastard!!!) But Then the end of the season, went less than desireable. But all in all, I know I can look foward to next season. I know We will have new faces and new talent and new ups and downs. But one thing stays true, Oklahoma STILL SUCKS!!!!!! And I know some of you might wonder about this, but I hope Boise State woops their ass. May Santa Shit in Stoops stocking. And I hate to say it but I hope Florida wins. Just cause I hate OSU more than Florida.
  I wish Brantley the best at Florida. ( I hope he walks in on his Vaulted girlfriend geting trained on by his O line) At least if he went to Texas they would have broken up under good terms , but now he will know she is very open. I am not mad at him, but PUHH Leaseee,  for a GF that will more than likely not even be around after the first semester. Grow some balls. But I am really stoked about next year and this years hoop team. I love the fact taht they are doing as good as they are. Could be better, but hey , could be worse too. Reading the rumors section in SI. It stated taht Texans are thinking about dumping Carr. Isnt it ironic that the reason Houston wouldnt pick Vince is cause they had their QB for the future in Carr. Nice to see you are drinking the ESPN kool aid and enjoying it. But here is where I see how things stack up.

Notre Dame- They do have potential, with Darias walker as a decent running back Quinn as a Qb and their offense rearing to go they have a shot.  Weak Schedule, not so fast.  They Play Georgia State there. Not a grade a class team but definitely dangerous. Penn State has the Defense that can bite Notre Dame in the A hole. Michigan I believe is going to be better this year. More on them later. Then of course USC. At the Coliseum. WOW. And ND has a D that showed last year that if you have some fast people( I.E OSU) they can get burned for, oh lets just say 670 yards.Also taking USC to the final seconds is true, but hey Fresno took them all the way too and I am not chalking them up as NCAA champs for next year either

Ohio State- They to me are like USC last year. All offense no defense. When you replace the caliber of defense they had, 9 of the 11 starters. Yea their D is going to drop off. You cant replace Capt Cavemen and company and think that you will stop everyone. Everyone contends that the back-ups have valuable playing time. In fact, some played entire games during injuries.
When Carpenter was absent from the line up from injuries two LBs subbed. In three games (Mich, ND and one other) they managed to come up with 1 tackle between them and zero in the Fiesta Bowl. Keep in mind, these two are the returning blue chip LBs filling the shoes of Hawk and Carpenter.
All but one DL is being replaced, but the guy returning is a bad mofo. Another DL started the end of the season. The others didn't really play.
The DBs have 3 converted WRs that played 11 games averaging just under 1 tackle a game. The other safety spot has never played and is also a converted WR.
In 2004 when they had this type of inexperience their defense was 30th total and 35th in run defense, even w/ Hawk and co. They gave up over 400 yards a game and almost over 500 to Northwestern and Iowa. Also I think that their luck is up against Michigan this year!!!

Texas does have a huge question mark at QB. But honestly with what we have returning, this year they don't have to win it as much as just don't fucking lose it. Our running backs are Charles, ( heisman candy in a year or two mark it down) Sevin and Hank the Tank. Our defense is honestly going to be better than last year. Two words Gene Chizik, Sergio Kindle< ( iknow more than 2 ha ha)

USC- great team great talent and great recruiting. ???s are, does John David Booty( serial Killer??) still has back spasms that make a epileptic seem calm? Their running backs this year need to step up. Thankfully they have Dewayne Jarret and enough LBs to stock the Pac-10.

Oklahoma the Great white Hype- Rhett Bomar is bullshit my personal opinion, AP is awesome. But lets go over these facts.
2004- with a better QB(jason white)with a healthy AP  against Texas  12 points ( yea that still burns my ass. ) agaisnt USC 17 points
2005- Healthy AP  lost to TCU and 17 agaisnt oregon With AP at 50% 12 points against texas. Their O line is starting over and I really think that they will feel it( or least Bomar when he peels his ass off the turf)

I wrote this in responce to an email a friend said about ND and OSU and such, mind you yes there is some cut and paste from the site on the OSU part,  please dont be mad, but it was such good info to throw at him  this is what he wrote me

Notre Dame, yes they are overrated, but the potential is still there form last year, that is why they are so highly ranked in the PRESEASON.
Notre Dame also has a weak schedule due to the fact that they are not part of a conference so they get to pick and choose there opponents according to their best interest. But they still can play a great game of football with good receivers, and a fast offensive style.  With a Heisman favorite in Brady Quinn, last years standout QB...and in my mind last years best QB in the nation.  This young team took USC to the final seconds last year.  With 9 returning defensive players, the same that took USC's reggie Bush out the game as a factor, this team looks good.
They do have to face Penn State this year, so we'll see if the hype lives up. Plus USC nov. 9th....oohh yes.

Ohio State:  I reluctantly can't agree with you on that one, if any team is still as strong as they were last year it would be OHIO STATE, the Buckeyes still have Troy Smith form last year and at least 3 returning lineman from last year, their defense has always been good, and the linebackers (the men of the field) are still fast strong and deadly, even with the departure of A.J. Hawk, and Carpenter.  Ohio State dominate in the Mid-Central Northeast region, their only true recruiting opponent is Michigan.  But for the most part they can pick and choose who ever they want from Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois, and Indiana.  (with the exception of South Bend).  

With Texas, and USC, losing so many good players to the draft, they have to rely on unproven talent for the upcoming year.  Even though both school have a great team coming into this year and the new talent is just as good as last years teams, unproven talent is not going to make a PRESEASON favorite.
Texas has the biggest hill to climb:  They still don't have a ROCK solid pick for this years QB position.  I think the top pick is going to be the kid named Coy, or Colt, something like that, the kid is good with a great arm and a strong mind.  And a local boy so he knows what playing for the Longhorns means to himself and the state of Texas.....but  Texas still has to play the Buckeyes on the 9th of September, true in Austin, but the Ohio defense is looking for some payback for the letdown from last year.  And Vince Young beat them in the final minute of last years game, against the number 1 defense.  Troy Smith played a great game last year and with another year under his belt there is no doubt he will play a great game this year, especially since Texas has lost 2 defensive lineman, 1 good linebacker, and a strong safety: even though Texas still has the nations best defensive line. Oh he is ready.

Oklahoma with Peterson remaining healthy will have a good chance of winning or placing second in the 12.  Rhett Bomar is still growing as a QB, and a replacement is not likely, but lets face it he is not a Big 12 quarterback.  Oklahoma did have a okay recruiting class, but nothing that will be worth a damn this year.  Their defense is still shabby, 1 standout def. lineman, 1 all american linebacker. And small cornerbacks.
Their hopes for a Big 12 championship come from Texas losing to Ohio State, and the Red River shootout.  But we will see.
