Mariners fan since birth! Went to my first game when i was 6 months old and fittingly slept though it. (late 80's in the kingdome)
One of my earlier memories was circus night and i believe Bill Swift pitched that game. I sat near the 'bullpen' and watched him warm up. Came away thinking Bill Swift (or whoever it was) was an amazing pitcher. Loved him ever sense.
Needless to say my point of view of the Mariners is rather odd. I began to become aware of baseball in 1993 and became fully aware of how the game was played in 1995 (seven years old) and began to devote alot of time to it in 2001. So in my mind... the mariners have been 'historically decent'. and since 2004 i've more and more felt like i must be sadistic to try continue to follow them. The collapse of the team in 2007 turned me bitter, and i shale remain bitter til we string together 3 or more winning seasons.
