Blazer's Edge Patty Mills

Apparently, he had a great first game in the NBDL! I don't necessarily agree with what mookie says about him being our starting pg of the future, but I am glad to see that KP keeping him even with his injury may pay off. Although, he may fit in as that distributor/deep threat that BRoy needs at pg in the future. I remember watching Mills' last game at St. Mary's where he was on fire, hitting (I think) 6 of 7 threes in the first half before breaking his foot.

Blazer's Edge A Blessing In Disguise

Thank goodness that Toronto overpaid Hedo. While I trust that McMillan and KP could integrate Turkoglu accordingly, and he would have been a good fit running that side pick and roll with GOden and LA, Portland should not shell out a 5 years for him. I think Portland would (and should) sign he him to a 3yr/$30 million contract, but Heydude wants that extra coin guaranteed (although Shawn Marion might be available, and he might take 3yr/$24), Now we are "forced" into letting Boom Boom and Martell develop at the 3, and giving some extra minutes to Rudy.

However, we now need to either sign or trade (or both) for a point guard. Option 1a should be to package Blake and Troutlaw to see if we can pry away Kirk Hinrich from the Bulls. It is just bad luck that Chicago decided not to overpay for Ben Gordon's services, a taste of Kirkland Hinrick would have been great for Portland.
