Jagodzinski Hired as Offensive Coordinator
From ESPN.com
Former Boston College head coach Jeff Jagodzinski, fired for interviewing with the New York Jets, has landed an NFL job with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Buccaneers named Jagodzinski their offensive coordinator on Thursday.
This is a key hire for new Bucs head coach Raheem Morris, who is only 32 and has a history on the defensive side of the ball. Jagodzinski was instrumental in the development of Matt Ryan at Boston College and has previous NFL experience.
Before becoming the head coach at Boston College, Jagodzinski was the offensive coordinator for the Green Bay Packers in 2006. He coached an offense that featured quarterback Brett Favre, 1,000-yard rusher Ahman Green and 1,000-yard receiver Donald Driver.
Boston College was 21-7 in his two years at the helm.
Information from ESPN.com's Pat Yasinskas was used in this report.
How does everyone feel about this hire?

Pat Yasinskas is Confused
A recent article by Pat on ESPN:
"Tip to Gruden and general manager Bruce Allen: You messed up in one huge way this season. If you were going to enter the Brett Favre sweepstakes (and we know you did), you HAD to get him. You didn't and it ruined Garcia and, ultimately, your season. Decide early on if Donovan McNabb or Matt Cassel is your flavor of the month. Then go out and make certain you get him."
This is just another example of ESPN milking the ratings machine that is Brett Favre.
-Favre, coming into this season, was a great quarterback that would put fans in the seats. The front office noticed this and went after him. Sure, Garcia had a great season last year, and it is unfair that he did not get the praise he deserved, but the NFL is a business. In my job my boss should always be on the lookout for better and more efficient workers that could replace me, and it is my job to prove to them that I can be successful. If Garcia was "ruined" because he felt unloved, it is his fault for not being mentally tough enough by not getting over it.
-Garcia is mentally tough. He rose all the way up from the Canadian Football League. He managed to become a pro bowler after having two horrendous seasons in the wastelands that are Detroit and Cleveland. And most impressively of all, he had to deal with and eventually won a playoff game with TO.
-Unbelievably, Pat blames the Favre dilemma as the reason this season ended in a historically bad fashion. There are many, many reasons why we lost four straight games: coaching, run defense, forgetting how to tackle just to name a few. But Allen and Gruden trying to sign a hall-of-fame qb is obviously not the reason we are counting down the days until the Rays start playing a little earlier than expected.

It's Kinda Like Picking Up an Extremely Hot Chick and Then Finding Out She Used to Be a Dude... the Morning After
A couple days ago I got an email. Not just any email, but one that promised to bring happiness, joy, and dancing fiddle cats.... I won the ALCS ticket lottery!!!
So today i woke up at 8am, skipped class, and patiently waited until 9am for the opportunity to buy tickets. 8:56am rolls around and i double check my internet connection, battery life, and index finger flexibility (for ultimate mouse-clicking ability). 9 o'clock rolls around, i insert my password and click search. Nothing is available in the upperdeck. 9:05am and i searched best available for two tickets for both games 1 and 2. After that failed, i even tried splitting my request. Still nothing.
Rather dissapointed, i called the trop and asked to speak with a manager of ticket sales in order to find out if there was a glitch or something. He informed me that both games were sold out.
Im sure this has happened to other people. I think the number of people that won the lottery and the number of actual seats available was at a very unfavorable ratio. The manager wouldnt give me an exact number, basically because "he didnt want to give me an answer that wasnt true". I dont know, this whole thing seems shady.
So i think the point of this post was:
a) it made me feel better
b) the hope that one of you will feel sorry for me and sell me tickets.
c) the hope that one of you will feel sorry for me and give me tickets.

Im Coming Out
The Rays fan base has seen a rather large jump this season. Higher attendance, better TV ratings, and merchandise sales are all evidence of this. Tampa Bay has become proud and excited about this team. All of this has led to national media, opposing team’s fans, and even lifelong Rays fans cry out about bandwagoners.
