Have you ever?
Ok so last night I had class untill 7:30 at Auraria Campus which was agonizing trying to focus on Strategic Management while both the Rox and Braves games were going on (stupid school during strech run). To get home I have to ride the light rail over to union station and then catch a bus up into the Denver Highlands. I decided to skip going home and go to the rest of the game instead, which was a great decision. I also randomly ended up sitting one section away from my brother who I did not know was there and saw me come in during the 6th inning. The game was one of the better ones I have ever been to in person and it was funny that I ran into my brother as well.
So my question is have you ever randomly ended up at a game and something awesome happened, either in the game or the stands?

Where real fans sit
I was at the Braves game tonight with a friend who also really likes the Rox and talking baseball. Around the 5th inning a couple guys came and sat behind us and had an interesting conversation. these are the real words I kid you not.
"Man we got here at just the right time Jennings is pitching into the 5th and we missed all the boring baseball"
I looked at my friend and rolled my eyes. later in the game their conversaation continued
"this is where the real fans sit you can see the whole field from here. Hey what does the purple row mean?"
I wanted to scream sometimes I really am annoyed by bandwagon fans

Field of Dreams
Instead of watching the Rockies tonight I felt like I needed to be reminded why I watch and love the game of baseball so much. I watched Field of Dreams and by the end I was in tears, and I don't cry at movies that often. I was surprised about all the memories that came back of playing catch with my Dad and going to games with him when I was young. My Dad and I don't get along on too many things but baseball has always been a common ground that we could bond over. I know that there are a lot of issues with our team right now, but tonight really helped me to see that Baseball has been so ingrained into my life that it won't matter (too much) if the Rox are not the greatest team. What will matter is that I will still get the chance to cheer, complain, and root for my team along with my Dad. So the next time you feel like you are getting burned by the Rox I suggests popping in a copy of the classic "it will remind you of all that was once good". Sorry if this seemed a little emotional I felt like I just had to write something about it.

Rowbot Competition
Hey
I was looking on the Braves SB Talking Chop site today and they have a pretty cool competiion (here). It relates to people making predictions on game threads before the game . It is really up to the site managers so Russ and others what do you think about such thing happening here. If it's too much trouble to run something like that I understand. I think it could encourage further involvement in the game threads during the season.
