Is Choice still available
I do not ask this because I believe he's great, or because I think we should have kept him, but considering how late in the season it is bringing in a street guy and having them learn the play book and pass protections could be very difficult.
Any interest in Murphy?
What about Daniel Murphy? If Prado truly is moved for prospects, or a left field option Murphy is a multi position guy who has a cheap salary. Unfortunately he is another lefty but the Mets have stated they are listening to offers on him.
Rule 5 Draft question?
When is the Rule 5 draft, and does anyone have a link to available players? I know it's rare for us to take anyone, but bullpen arms and utility guy's are the types usually taken and we are still looking for both.
Another possible reliever to consider.
Instead of Downs (totally not), and Calero (unless he's cheap, but if he was he'd be signed).........
Where does Arodys rank?
Where will he be falling in the ranks of our prospects? I will admit to knowing nothing about him, but if he was traded I would expect at this point he'll be 4th. There is a chance he is more highly thought of than Teheran, or slightly behind Minor.
Also does anyone else thinks this is also a positive for how far along they consider Minor in his development? He could be showing them a lot (composure, work ethic, and such) and saying that if injuries mount he would be available late this season to help out if pressed. I expect him to start off in AA this season, with a good shot to be the 5th starter in 2011.
Free Agent signing that could single handedly put us in the World Series.

Longtime Rangers hitting coach Rudy Jaramillo turned down a one-year offer from the team and will explore free agency, according to Evan Grant.
Kawakami expectations vs performance so far?
Now that the season is past the break I was wondering how Kawakami has done vs what people expected him to be able to accomplish? He has had up's and down's kinda like I expected. I had hoped for a few more wins, and a lower ERA, but truthfully I can not say that I expected a much better start for him. I do expect the 2nd half f the season will be a slightly better performance from the early 1st half. Others feelings?
Is this correct??????????
I was looking at the Beckett Basleball preview, and is projected Clint Salmons as out Starting CF.
Now I know that that part of the equation is just stupid, but they stated that he was making a transition to CF, not just the OF but CF specifically.
Does anyone know if he is trying to learn another position? And if we think his bats good enough that he should switch positions (which I doubt, isn't his biggest asset suppose to be his catching defense??) then why not try him at 3b as a future replacement for Chipper.?
Why has no one said we should sign
Oliver Perez?
I agree he is not an ace and should not be signed as one, but he is the youngest starter avaliable, and would not cost ace type money. He is left handed which is something that we don't have really.
If we could sign Burnett, Perez and bring back Hampton on a incentive based deal for 1 season I believe we would be ok pitching wise, and there is also the better than 50% chance of Glavine coming back.
How much is Perez expected to get? Overall I will not be upset if we do not get him, but I would rather have him than Wolf, and if Sheets isn't going to be spoken too Perez would be a good option.
