Next GM and HC of the Denver Broncos
I would love to see the Broncos bring in one of three guys for the GM position. Those guys in no real order are: Eric DeCosta Director of Player Personnel for the Baltimore Ravens. Ron Hughes College Scouting Coordinator for the Pittsburgh Steelers or Omar Kahn Business and Football Adminstration Coordinator for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Kahn is a hot young name in NFL circles for upcoming GM jobs. Hughes and DeCosta are the guys I'd like to see before Kahn, but wouldn't be upset either way. Have you ever watched a game with either the Steelers or Ravens involved and thought that they weren't talented enough to compete? Those organizations are always favorites every season to win Super Bowls. This season even without their Franchise QB Ben Roethisberger for the first 4 games the Steelers have been one of the best in the league. The only reason Baltimore isn't first in their divison is because of Pittsburgh! I've seen these names on the site over the past couple weeks so I know a lot of you already agree.
As for the HC I earlier said Troy Calhoun, but with him staying at the AFA my new favorite candidate for the position is Marty Schottenheimer. In 21 seasons as an NFL HC Schottenheimer's teams have been .500 or worse in only 6 seasons and has only had 2 actual losing seasons. I would like to see a situation kind of like what was rumored to happen at CU with Coach Mac coming back and grooming someone to take over in a few years. Schottenheimer is 67 years old so he could come in for around 5 years or so and by that time have found a great replacement for him when he walks away. Schottenheimer wants to get into coaching again and was rumored to be interested in the job when McDaniels was hired. Marty has a great coaching tree with guys such as: Bill Cowher and Tony Dungy gone on to win Super Bowls as HC. He has also gave many good NFL coaches their start. His knock is his playoff record, but I don't really care about that at this moment. We need to build this team and Marty ball is a great way to start! Besides maybe in years 3-5 when we're back at a competitive level of football and making the playoffs consistently Marty will finally get his Super Bowl championship with John Elway in the front office supporting him!

Mock Off-Season 1.0
Can't believe I'm starting my mock off-seasons with 4 weeks still to play, but after all that has happened its now time to look at the off-season and getting this franchise headed back. I'm going to do this as a normal off season without a lock out.
Post UFC on Versus 2 Matchmaker
Loser: Tyson Griffin (18-4) After losing 2 straight he shouldn't be in any danger of being released yet. Another loss and it might come up. Set up a fight against the loser of Clay Guida and Rafael Dos Anjos.
Winner: Takanori Gomi (32-6) After a devastating KO of Griffin. The original fight against Joe Stevenson
Loser: John Howard (14-5) Why not be the return fight for Anthony Johnson. This fight has been attempted before, but Rumble had to pull out due to injury.
Winner: Jake Ellenberger (23-5) If Ben Saunders gets past Dennis Hallman. A Ellenberger/Saunders fight makes some sense to get one of these guys a fight or two away from contender status
Loser: Mark Munoz (8-2) Joe Silva rarely puts someone coming off a win against someone who just lost, but I think a match-up with The All-American Brian Stann would give us a real idea if either of these fighters are for real in the UFC Middleweight division.
Winner: Yushin Okami (25-5) #1 contenders fight against The Phenom Vitor Belfort. Belfort has not fought since a KO of Rich Franklin at UFC 103. Gives us a true #1 contender to fight the winner of Anderson Silva/Chael Sonnen
Loser: Vladimir Matyushenko (24-5) This is a tough fight to pick. I'm gonna say he slides back to the prelims and gets a fight against Tim Boetsch/Todd Brown winner
WInner: Johnny "Bones" Jones (11-1) A top 8 fighter is what Dana White has said is next for "Bones". I would love to see him fight the winner of Lil Nog/Bader, but that only would happen if it is Lil Nog. UFC will not have two young up and comers fight at this point. I think "Bones" needs a mainstream name on his record to get casual fans to buy into him. Forest Griffin is a fan favorite and a tough fighter that can test Jones in his next fight.

RMW Mock Draft 8.0 (#7 is retired!)
I've somehow managed to stay away from the mocks while the combine and FA has been playing out. So lets get started after the jump...gotta look out for you mobile users! Pics will be included as well. I like them and it takes more time while I'm bored at work!!
Tony Scheffler and a draft pick
I was thinking if we could trade Scheff and a draft pick (3rd or 4th IMO) to Cleveland for Shaun Rogers we would have a revamped line. The Browns currently have five TEs on their roster with the best of that group being Robert Royal? (They don't have much) I'm a big fan of the TE position and feel it is undervalued until you have a great one and see the impact one can have. Scheffler however is a pass catching TE that causes some match up problems, but doesn't seem to fit into/buying into what McD wants to do here in Denver. Cleveland could use a nice weapon at the TE position to help Brady Quinn and get a draft pick where a solid football player can be had. Just want to see what MHRers thought on this.
RMW Mock Draft 6.0
Well I just could wait until after the combine to get to my next mock. I get bored at work from time to time and luckily have a chance to do some internet surfing. So after reading a request to do these mocks after the jump I will do my part to help out.
RMW Mock Draft 5.0
First I can't believe I'm doing my 5th mock draft pre-combine. I'll admit I'm not big on workout numbers, but more of a person who believes tape is more likely to tell you if someone can play or not. I also believe McDaniels and the new powers that be in Denver feel the same way as McD said they'll have the draft board pretty much done pre-combine. I'll be signing some FA and only doing RFA tenders to guys I feel should be gone.
Free Agent Signings:

This just seems like it is going to happen. Great guy to have on the team will be a respected addition to the locker room.

Can start in a 3-4 defense and produce. More for depth then as a starter. Knows the defense.

I'm loving this pick up, but its more a pipe dream then anything. Don't see anyway Cincinnati lets him go.

If there is any chance to get him out of Baltimore I hope we take a run. He'll improve our run D just by being signed.
RFA Tenders: I'm only putting guys I feel we'll allow to walk on this mock off season.
Chris Kuper: 2nd round tender decline to match Seatte Seahawks offer. As I've said Kuper is a great ZBG, but does not fit McDaniels power running game. Kuper is a great fit for Seattle who hired Alex Gibbs to coach the OL. Receive pick #40.
Tony Scheffler: Minimum tender decline to match Cleveland Browns offer. Scheffler goes to Mike Holmgren for when he takes over the coaching job after a new CBA is in place or 2011 if there is a season. Receive pick #38
In this mock off season we are keeping B-Marsh, Doom Orton and Prater.
Draft:
1st: 11th
2nd: 38th, 40th, 45
3rd: 80th
4th:
6th:
7th:
11th pick Denver selects:
Dez Bryant 6'2" 220 lbs WR Oklahoma St

Even keeping Brandon I love this guy. I'm all for taking him with our 1st pick and making our offense that much more dangerous.
38th pick Denver selects
Maurkice Pouncey 6'5" 318 lbs C/G Florida

Would love to be able to get Pouncey early in round 2. Becomes starting C in camp.
40th pick Denver selects
Tim Tebow 6'3" 236 lbs QB Florida

Can come in and learn for a season or two under McDaniels and take over for Orton. Of course can we imagine the ego of McD when he turns this pick into an All-Pro QB? Has the accuracy and arm strength to be an NFL QB just needs a couple adjustments.
45th pick Denver selects
Brandon Spikes 6'3" 256 lbs ILB Florida

Not sure how I just picked 3 Florida players in a row, but I'd be fine with them. Spikes returning to school hurt him a little since all scouts had to do after his JR season was evaluate his flaws.
80th pick Denver selects
Alex Carrington 6'5" 284 lbs DE Arkansas St.

This season plays little, but learns from some great veterans and sees the field later in the season
4th Round Denver selects
Akwasi Owusu-Ansah 6'1" 205 lbs CB Indiana of Pennsylvania

Small school play making CB. Right now projected in the 3rd-4th rounds, but could impress at the combine and shoot way up draft boards like DRC a few years back.
6th Round Denver selects
Tony Moeaki 6'4" 255 lbs TE Iowa

Very talented TE who falls only due to injury history.
7th Round Denver selects
LaMarcus Coker 5'11" 205 lbs RB Hampton

Fast RB with good size. Was cut from Tennessee for violating the teams drug policy Has run a 4.27 40 in front of NFL scouts.
Here's another one people. I used walter football for my FA and draft projections if you're curious. Thanks again for reading hopefully you won't get another one until after the combine from me! (Unlikely!)
RMW Mock Draft 4.0
Well I'm sitting here at work on this amazing Colorado winter day bored and deicded to kill some time with another mock draft. I think to kill a lot of time I'll be a little unrealisitc and have a lot of moves prior to the draft. Well bare with me and feel free to tear it a part in the comments!
Free Agent Signings:
I'll start with the huge splash we make in Free Agency with:
Karlos Dansby 6'4" 250lbs

This guy can play and has had a couple of nice playoff runs in Arizona recently. Immediate replacement for Andra Davis who I enjoyed watching during the season. Dansby at 28 signs 6 years $65 million. There are some other LBs I'd prefer in FA, but they are all restricted FA.
Bobbie Williams 6'4" 345lbs

One of the most underrated OL in the league. Was named 2nd-team All-Pro (which means a hell of a lot more then a pro bowl) this year and is an elite talent hitting the FA market. At 33 signs 4 years $24 million
Justin Hartwig 6'5" 312lbs

Big center who has played in a power running attack in Pittsburgh. At 31 signs 4 years $15 million.
Daniel Fells 6'4" 272lbs
Big young TE to replace Scheffler and compete with Quinn for 2nd TE spot. At 26 signs 3 years $7million

WR to help replace the departing Brandon Marshall. At 30 signs 4 year $12 million
Tenders:
Kyle Orton: 1st Round tender stays with Broncos signs a 2 year $12 million. I'll be the first to admit I was not a fan of Orton coming in, but he won me over and I'm willing to see what he can do another year in McD's system. If you look at the #s Kyle's last year were pretty close to Tom Brady's #s his 2nd year in the system.
Chris Kuper: 2nd round tender: Broncos decline to match Washington offer sheet recieve 37th pick in draft
Brandon Marshall: Max tender: Decline to match Tennessee Titans offer sheet. Recieve 17th and 78th picks
Elvis Dumervil: Max tender: Decline to match $65 million offer sheet from Miami Dolphins recieve 12th and 73rd picks
Tony Scheffler: Minimum tender which I believe means we recieve a pick in the round in which player was drafted: Decline to match Arizona Cardinals offer sheet recieve 58th pick.
Matt Prater: Kickers to me are not a huge priority so we'll keep Prater around at 4 years $8million
TRADE Peyton Hillis to Washington for 4th pick in Round 5. I only see us getting anything from Shanahan for Hillis.
DRAFT:
Current Picks:
1st Round: 10th 12th 17th
2nd Round: 37th, 45th, 58th
3rd Round: 73rd, 78th, 80th
4th Round:
5th Round: Washington
6th Round:
7th Round:
10TH Pick Denver Selects
Joe Haden CB Florida 5'11" 181 lbs

NFL's next elite shutdown corner falls to Denver making it impossible not to take him. Learns from Champ and Goodman and possibly takes job from Goodman during this year.
Denver Trades the 12th pick (Dolphins) to Cincinnati for picks #21 #54 and 5th
17th pick (Titans) Denver selects
Mike Iupati G Idaho 6'6" 330 lbs

Becomes starting LG as soon as he signs. I can't help but want this guy in Orange and Blue.
21st Pick (Bengals) Denver selects
Jared Odrick DE PSU 6'5" 296 lbs

Huge DE flying up draft boards right now. Starts for Peterson and becomes a stud DE for Denver. See him being like Aaron Smith very underrated throughout career, but anyone would love to have him.
Denver Trades picks #45 and #80 and 7th round to Detroit for pick #33 and 2nd pick in 4th round
33rd pick (Lions) Denver selects
Jerry Hughes OLB/DE TCU 6'2" 258 lbs

Pass rusher to replace Elvis Dumervil.
37th pick (Redskins) Denver selects
Arrelious Benn WR Illinois 6'2" 214lbs

WR hurt by poor QB play in college. Helps replace B-Marsh
54th Pick (bengals) Denver selects
Sergio Kindle OLB/DE Texas 6'4" 254lbs

Some team will fall in love and take him higher, because of the combine and he'll play well, but I don't see a 1st round player when watching him play.
58th pick (Cardinals) Denver selects
Dexter McCluster WR/RB Ole Miss 5'8" 165lbs

Amazing athlete will have one of the three fastest 40 times at the combine. Return man from day one. Weapon in the screen game.
73rd pick Denver selects
Cam Thomas NT UNC 6'4" 330lbs

Depth at the NT. Fields, Baker and Cam Thomas provide a nice rotation
78th Pick Denver selects
Mike Neal DE Purdue 6'4" 302 lbs

More DL depth. Becomes great rotation with McBean and Odrick
4th round pick A (Lions) Denver selects
Ryan Mathews RB Fresno St 5'11" 220lbs

RB with speed and size to help short yardage situations.
4th Round B: Jeff Byers OG/C USC 6'3" 299lbs

OL depth can play G or C if not for injuries in college he'd be a much higher pick
5th Round A (Redskins) Denver selects
Carlton Mitchell WR USF 6'4" 210 lbs

Big target could replace The Beast in couple years
5th Round B (Bengals) Denver selects
Riley Cooper WR Florida 6'3" 214lbs

This guy is the perfect fit for McD's offense. Will be Wes Welker-like for the Broncos
6th round Denver trades to the New York Jets for QB

McD gets a QB he knows for cheap.
So here it is finally completed. It is completely unrealistic, but it is kind of fun to get this many picks to work with in what is an incredible draft talentwise. Thanks for reading MHR!

RMW Mock Draft 3.0
I've decided to do yet another mock draft. This time we won't have quite the turnover as we did in the last plus I'll add some FA signings to the fold as well. Lets start with Brandon and Doom they both receive long term deals keeping them in orange and blue.
Chris Kuper 2nd round tender: Decline to match Washington receieve pick #37. Chris Kuper is one of the best zone blocking G in the league he just does not fit the new scheme McD is looking for.
Tony Sceffler 2nd round tender: Work a sign and trade with Miami for pick #73 and 5th pick in 7th round from KC
Peyton Hillis took McDaniels dog for a walk during the early part of last season and never brought him back thats the only reason I can see for how he was used this past year. Hillis traded to Washington for 4th pick in the 5th round.
The FA signings:
Tank Johnson 6'3" 305 lbs

Great player to come in and fill the 5 technique on the DL. At 28 years old signs a 3 year $12 million contract.
Eugene Amano 6'3" 310 lbs

Becomes the starting Center as soon as he signs. At 28 years old signs 4 years for $18 million
Kevin Faulk 5'8" 202 lbs

Becomes 3rd down back as soon as he gets here. 34 years old signs 3 year $10 million. McD gives him a little more for his leadership abilities.
I feel McDaniels will make a huge splash in Free Agency as well I'm just not sure the direction that will be as for the sake of my feeling my big splash is:
Julius Peppers 6'7" 283

He already spends a lot of time in Denver going to Nuggets games and hanging around. There were some hushed rumors last season of him coming here. At 30 signs a 5 year $60 million. Peppers and Doom give the Broncos the most feared pash rush in the league. Watch out Strahan someone is breaking your record!
On to the Draft our current picks:
1st: 10th
2nd: 37th & 45th
3rd: 73rd & 80th
4th: A.
5th: Washington
6th: A
7th: Miami via KC
B
DENVER TRADES THE 10TH PICK TO PITTSBURGH FOR THE 18th, 52nd and 6th round picks
18th Pick: Brian Price DT/DE UCLA 6'2" 300 lbs

Big athletic can play either DE spot in a 3-4 or DT in Nickel situations. Starter from draft day.
Pick #37 (Washington): Maurkice Pouncey C/G Florida 6'5" 318 lbs

Can play either C/G picking up Amano means Pouncey slides over to G to replace Kuper.
Pick #45: Terrence "Mount" Cody DT Alabama 6'4" 370 lbs

Teams shy away from Cody because of weight. Drafted to learn under one of the best DL coaches in the game becomes a Jamal Williams type 1 Technique.
Pick #52 (Pittsburgh): Vladimir Ducasse OT/G UMASS 6'5" 330 lbs

2 rookie Guards hopefully the best tackle duo in the league stays healthy and can help shorten the learning curve.
Pick #73 (Miami): Eric Norwood 6'1" 246 lbs

Great pass rusher also big enough to move inside.
Pick #80: Mardy Gilyard 6' 180 lbs WR Cincinnati

Deep threat on other side of B-Marsh. Royal moves to slot and begins Wes Welker like career.
4th Round: Micah Johnson 6'2" 254 lbs

If he comes back healthy is a huge pick up in the 4th round to replace Andra Davis during this season.
5th Round (Washington): Sean Canfield QB Oregon St. 6'3" 221 lbs

Smart QB that McD could turn into a great NFL player.
6th Round A: Myron Rolle S Florida St 6'1" 217 lbs

Smart football player. If around in 6th we pick up a great player with amazing talents
6th Round B (Pittsburgh): DeMarcus Granger DE/DT Oklahoma 6'2" 327 lbs

Former #1 ranked prep player battled injuries during college. If he stays healthy can be a productive NFL player
7th Round A (Miami via KC) Jimmy Graham TE Miami 6'6" 250 lbs

Talented raw prospect. Every team wants the next Antonio Gates.
7th Round B: Brandon James RS Florida 5'7" 185

Probably goes a lot earlier then this, but he takes the return game over and Eddie focuses on playing WR.
Here's my 3rd people let me know how I'm doing.

RWM Mock Draft 2.0
Well I'm suckered into doing another mock draft. This one I'm going to be going a little outside the box prior to the draft. I'll start with our RFA tenders:
Brandon Marshall max tender: Decline to match Cincinnati we receive picks #21 and #84
Elvis Dumervil max tender: Decline to match Miami we receive picks #12 and #73
Chris Kuper 2nd round tender;Decline to match Houston we receive pick #51
Tony Scheffler 2nd round tender: Decline to match Cleveland we recieve pick #38
Peyton Hillis trade to Washington for 5th Round pick
Our Draft now looks like this:
1st Round:10/11th,12, 21
2nd Round: 38,45,51
3rd Round:73,80,84
4th Round
5th Round
6th round
7th round
Now I'm not too excited about the possibiltiy of DOOM going else where, but I'm also a realist and if someone wants to pay him $60-65mil for 6 years (DeMarcus Ware got around 6yrs- $75mil) I say we let him go. As of right now he's a pass rusher that needs to work on the stuffing the run for that kind of money let's take the picks
We now have 13 picks in the draft what better way for Josh to fill the team with his guys. Lets get started:
TRADE: 10/11th pick for Donovan McNabb

He still has 3-5 years of HoF caliber football left and B-Dawk and Buck make the biggest play of their Bronco Careers! And yes a high 1st rounder would be enough.
TRADE:12th pick (Miami) to Baltimore for picks #25 #57 and 4th round. They missed out on B-Marsh and want the #1 WR in the draft.
Pick # 21 (Cincinnati) Mike Iupati-G Idaho 6'5" 325lbs

Just replaced and improved The LG spot for the next decade.
Pick #25 (Baltimore) Maurkice Pouncey C Florida 6'5" 318lbs.

Just replaced an aging veteran for the next decade. The O-Line is now a strength and will be one of the best units in the NFL for years.
Pick #38 (Cleveland) Brandon Spikes LB Florida 6'3" 258lbs.

I see Spikes dropping like Rey Maualuga last year and he went somewhere right around this pick. He's a leader and coming back to Florida after winning 2 NC shows he's a team guy. Starts early in the season.
Pick #45 Brandon Graham OLB Michigan 6'2" 263lbs.
Is just as good as former Michigan DE and current Pittsburg OLB Lamarr Woodley. One of the best pass rushers in the draft.
Pick #51 (Houston) Kyle Wilson CB Boise St. 5'10" 190 lbs.

Possible he's not on the board at 51, he's been playing well against the top talent. Prime and Kyle Wilson give us 2 young corners to learn from Champ and Goodman and take over in a couple years.
Pick #57 (Baltimore) Lamarr Houston DE Texas 6'3" 302 lbs.
Has been struggling in Mobile, but just turn on the NC game and you'll see he can play.
Pick #73 (Miami) Myron Rolle S FSU 6'1" 217lbs
I think we're pretty set at S for years with Barrett, Bruton and McBath, but Rolle could be a game changer plus we all know what kind of person he is. Teams will shy away from him, because you're not sure if he's totally committed to football.
Pick #80 Torrell Troup NT UCF 6'3" 314lbs

Of course in the NFL you'll be getting a 15 yarder and fined for that hit. Troup would be a talent to come in and learn from the veterans on the DL.
Pick #84 (Cincinnati) Danario Alexander WR Missouri 6'5" 220lbs

Big WR to take the possesion WR role for years.
4th Round A: Alex Carrington DE Arkansas St. 6'5" 284lbs.

Monster DE from a small school. Learns from McBean and Fields and we'll have a beast.
4th Round B (Baltimore): Cameron Scheffield OLB Troy

Pass Rushing LB out of Troy. Yeah I'll take a flyer right now. Troy has some successful pass rushers in the NFL right now with DeMarcus Ware, Osi Umenyiora.
5th Round (Washington): Riley Cooper WR Florida 6'3" 214lbs.

Has said he will play in the NFL over MLB. WR in the Wes Welker Brandon Stokley mold. Has a little more speed then people think as well. Will catch a ton of balls in McD's offense
6th Round: LaGarrette Blount RB Oregon 6'1" 245lbs.

Beast of a RB that only falls, because of the Boise State incident. Shows he deserves a second chance and the Broncos give him one and it'll pay off big time.
7th Round: Trindon Holliday RS LSU 5'5" 161lbs
.
Return guy only, but takes over as soon as he's in camp. Holliday WILL run the fastest 40 at the combine. If he's here in the 7th round why not. Lets Eddie Royal not have to worry about the return game.
Here it is people. Go ahead and rip it apart, but a boy can dream right!?!
Denver Bronco Mock Draft
I posted this on MHR and figured why not make it my 1st post here:
Alright I've been debating about doing a mock, but have felt it is still a little early. While sitting here at work bored I decided to get my 1st one out of the way. the draft is one of my favorite parts of the football season. I'm not positive if the pick numbers are correct that I will be using, but hopefully close enough. I will be trading a few guys that could be traded. So this really is just my opinion. Lets get started:
1st Trade: Brandon Marshall to Tennessee for 1st (#13) and 3rd (#74)
2nd Trade: Tony Scheffler to Cleveland for 3rd (#69)- I really don't think Scheff could get us a 2 anyway
3rd Trade: Peyton Hillis to Washington for 5th (#131)
Draft looks like:
1st Round: #10 and #13
2nd Round: #50
3rd Round: #69 and #74 and #80
4th Round: #110
5th Round: #131
6th Round: #177
7th Round: #208
1st round #10 Overall Alabama LB Rolando McClain
If he is still around at pick 10 I do not see how we can not take him. Coach Nolan gets a clone of Patrick Willis and will take over the leadership role of the D when B-Dawk hangs them up in a couple years.
1st round #13 overall Tennessee NT Dan Williams
6'3" 327 LBS of beast at the NT position. This is the pick because I don't see a WR worth it here since Dez Bryant will be off the board.
TRADE pick #50 and pick #74 to Buffalo for pick #39 and #198
2nd Round #39 Overall Idaho G Mike Iupati

6'6" 330 LBS mean nasty Lineman. We all know Stink would love this pick too being from his school. Guards do not typically get taken in the 1st round the last I believe was Ben Grubbs by Baltimore a few years back. Iupati starts over Ben Hamilton/Ross Hochstein immediately.
3rd Round #69 overall Missouri WR Danario Alexander

6'5" 215 LBS with the WR draft as it is somebody will fall to the 3rd round I just picked Alexander being he's a Big 12 guy.
3rd round #80 overall Duke DE/DT Vince Oghobaase

6'6" 300 LBS has been inconsistent at times and missed some time due to injury. Boom or bust prospect.
4th Round #110 overall BYU TE Dennis Pitta

6'5" 250LBS could go anywhere between rounds 2-4.
5th round #131 overall LSU RS Trindon Holliday

5'5" 160 LBS will be the fastest player at the combine hands down. Takes over at both Punt and Kick returner and shows Devin Hester like ability
6th Round #177 Overall Tennessee QB Jonathan Crompton

An NFL after thought until this year. Smart guy makes all the throws required by NFL QB. Takes back-up job from Brandstater this year and starts next year over KO
7th Round #198 Overall Oregon RB LaGarrette Blount

Seen this pick in most mocks and LOVE it. He becomes a huge weapon on short yardage and gives us a reason to cut old reliable Lamont Jordan
7th Round #208 Overall Florida LB Ryan Stamper

ST demon will remind us all of Kieth Burns. Urban Meyer says one of smartest and will work harder then anyone. Probably will never be a Starter, but will be a pro bowl caliber STer.
Well that killed like an hour at work so I'm pretty happy! Let me know what you guys think. And thanks for checking it out.

B-Marsh Solution
I think we need to find a way to keep Brandon, but am not opposed to trading him. I think the best possible move for us is to give Arizona a call and work out a deal for their disgruntled WR Anquan Boldin. As long as it's straight up. We send Arizona a top 5 WR and we in return get a top 5 WR back without having to draft a kid and hope he turns into a star. I know McD has said he wants get Royal more involved which I totally agree with, but he still needs to work on beating press coverage better. Gaffney had a great game vs KC (wish he would have gotten the Bronco record so I had a reason to say I was at the game), but do we really want him to be our #1? Boldin wants to be paid as does Marshall as will any kid we draft (Dez Bryant). So why not fix this mess pay Boldin and have a proven super star? P.S. Boldin was a top 5 WR before Fitz got to Arizona.
Bronco Nation
This has become ridiculous...People saying how they're embarrassed to be Bronco fans. Its real effing simple if you do not want to be a Broncos fan if the organization embarrasses you then don't be. No one is holding a gun to your head. No one will even care if you wait until the Super Bowl and pick your new favorite team. I am passionate about football have done my share of playing and coaching on various levels in my 27 years, but have yet to see a game as a fan that embarrasses me or depresses me. Yeah I've gotten down during the game, but when the clocks read 0:00 guess what its now the past so what. I was at the game yesterday and heard people telling other fans not to renew their tickets for those people all I have to say is STFU its none of your business how I or anyone else spends their money. We're not telling you to renew make your own decision, but I guess unfortunately for you unless you move the Broncos are the only NFL game in town. So please instead of complaining about how the Broncos embarrass you jump to another team that won't embarrass you just please don't come back when we've won 3 of 4 championships.

KC game and the retiring of DTs #58
This game with KC is becoming more and more of a trap game. We have always had problems playing in KC no matter how good or bad they seem to be. Add in the emotion of retiring the number of greatest player in the history of the franchise and this is getting to be a scary situation. I'm hoping McDaniels has the boys ready to go. If the team that played the first 6 games or the Giants shows up we should be well on our way to a 10-6 or 11-5 finish. On a side note it is about time the Chiefs honor #58 and it was a damn shame it took him as long as it did to make the HOF. R.I.P DT always loved watching you play!
Who does everyone have?
Who do you have in the top 3 fights on the UFC 100 card? Also how do they win?
Brock Lesnar vs. Frank Mir-Undisputed Heavyweight Title Fight
George St. Pierre vs. Thiago Alves- Welterweight Title Fight
Dan Henderson vs. Michael Bisping- #1 Middleweight Contender Fight
My picks are:
Dan Henderson defeats Michael Bisping via Uniamous Decision
Thiago Alves defeats George St. Pierre via (T)KO in the 3rd round
Frank Mir defeats Brock Lesnar via submission late in round 2
Looking forward to seeing everyone's picks
Beating a dead horse!!
Brandon Marshall career stats- 46 games 226 catches 2,899 yards 15 TDs
Roy Williams career stats- 70 games 281 catches 4082 yards 30 TDs
I've been reading a lot about the BMarsh situation as of late like the rest of us. Most people are saying that we should trade Brandon if someone offers a #1 for him. I do not believe a #1 is enough for a WR when on the field is a top 5 WR in the league. If the Lions got a #1 and a #3 I think that is the starting point. Brandon is right now better then Roy Williams will ever be. Brandon has the potential (dirty word) to be the best WR to have ever played the game. I think the best case for both parties is for Brandon to swallow a little pride show up at camp and prove to everyone he's growing up and his legal issues will become a thing of the past. If Brandon plays like he's capable and stays out of trouble off the field Mr. Bowlen will have no problem paying him. So if by some off chance Brandon Marshall were to read this my advice would be prove yourself then get paid!
Bronco top 3 picks
This is the way that the organization will justify the first three draft picks:
#12 Knowshon Moreno- Best back on the board. So we ended up drafting the best RB and probably at that point the best player left on the board at #12. I will say right now we have the OROY in this pick. He will not come off the field on 3rd down. He can catch out of the bakfield and pass block better then any back in this draft.
#18 Robert Ayers- Best rated OLB/DE on the board. I have heard comparisions for him to become the next DeMarcus Ware. Don't know about any of you, but that will be just fine with me. The guy ran the 100 meter at UT and the 4x100 that means speed. Go watch the highlight video of him on YouTube and you will see that he is an incredible athlete that plays in the backfield. He may not have gotten the numbers of sacks, but he always was putting pressure on the QB. Pressure means rushed throws and rushed throws mean turnovers. I heard Mel Kiper today say he will be the DROY.
#37 Alphonso Smith- Best rated CB on the board. Amazing athlete nicknamed "Prime". Go watch his highlight tape on YouTube as well he is incredible. Now trading the 1st round pick next year ends up working out just fine since this is the player taken. McDaniels said that we had 4 1st round picks over the course of the next 2 years. We just happened to get 3 of them this year. Only 9 players in CFB history had more picks then Prime in his career. He's a playmaker that is going to remind us all of D-Will (R.I.P).
I could continue on with McBath (playmaker) and Quinn (reach, but will turn into Dan Graham who was a 1st round pick)
Also Chris Baker from Hampton will become a big time NT at 6'2" 326lbs and athletic enough to play DE as well. He dominated at his college level and was so good at Penn St Joe Pa was trying to get the university to overlook his character concerns. Hopefully he's grown up and we don't have any of that.
Lets stop question McDaniels until he fails!!

Tony Scheffler situation
I'm curious to see what is going to happen with Scheffler. He's a great talent when on the field, but is hurt too much. He quietly demanded a trade after Cutler was dealt and is a client of the doucheba...er....Bus Cook. I believe some team out there will give us another 3rd round pick for him. Which has to happen to get him out of Denver so we have no lingering effects of McJaygate. Also Dan Graham has played exceptionally well in this new offense.

Bronco 2009 Mock Draft
Here is my wish list for the Broncos upcoming draft
1-12 Tyson Jackson DE LSU 6'5" 290lbs- Getting the best 3-4 end will help the transition to a new defense
1-18 Larry English OLB Northern Illinois 6'3" 255lbs- May be considered a slight reach at 18, but he is the best pass rushing LB in the draft
2-48 Ron Brace DT Boston College 6'3" 326lbs- Will be the big NT needed to run a successful 3-4
3-79 Ramses Barden WR Cal Poly SLO 6'6" 225lbs- An another huge WR to play opposite B-Marsh and allow Eddie Royal to play in the slot where he'll be most effective
3-84 Kraig Urbik OG Wisconsin 6'5" 328lbs- Its time to start looking for an eventual replacement for Ben Hamilton
4-114 Michael Hamlin S Clemson 6'2" 214lbs- A safety to be groomed by Clemson alum B-Dawk
5-149 Rhett Bomar QB Sam Houston St. 6'2" 225lbs- With 10 draft picks the Broncos will get a QB. Here is one that has talent and was humbled already in his career
6-185 DeAngelo Smith CB Cincinatti 5'11" 194lbs- CB that can be groomed by Champ Bailey for the future
7-225 Arian Foster RB Tennesse 6'1" 226lbs- If available in the 7th he'd be a steal to be a great insurance policy
7-235 Nick Reed LB Oregon 6'2" 255lbs-Would be a great 7th rounder who will excel on ST
Showing 1 - 22 of 22
