Motivation problems? Let Samurai Mike give you a hand!
Some guy named Paul Murphy submitted this audition tape for The Score's 'Drafted' Sportscaster search. Why submit this at PPP? Well, it takes place in Toronto... with a special cameo by one of your very own Maple Leafs at the end! Quite entertaining nonetheless.
Come on. Dion Phaneuf? Overrated? Pfft. Yeah, right.
A poll of appromimately 1/3 of NHL Players deemed former Flame 'Double' Dion Phaneuf as the hockey's most overrated player. Apparently, the hype surrounding his booming shot that doesn't hit the net 97.3% of the time, vicious attempts to decapitate weaker opponents on open ice (therefore putting him out of position), and defensive zone awareness as nonchalant as Alexander Semin has started to rub some of his peers the wrong way. The icing on the cake may be related to envy- he's dating B-list celebrity hottie Elisha Cuthbert. Obviously, jealousy of Dion's hockey and social abilities runs rampant in professional hockey. Also of note in the article: Craig Conroy fully supports Dion as both a player and a person, which one wouldn't expect from the guy whose wife was (allegedly) defiled by the former EA Sports NHL video game cover boy. Either it didn't happen, or Dion is just THAT great of a guy!

My God, Damien. My God.
Toronto Star columnist and TSN Tradecentre expert Damien Cox believes the time has come in which Dion Phaneuf becomes the Captain of the Leafs. If he could grow a mustache, hit the general vicinity of the net, actually fight, and be a pillar in the community, the similarities between Dion and Wendel Clark would be uncanny.
Kissing Suzy Kolber, On The Capitals
Popular NFL blog Kissing Suzy Kolber has done a mock-conversation between two Capitals fans. Do Caps fans find this infuriating, or is this an accurate portrayal?
The Seventh Defenseman
I'm sure a lot of people have scratched their heads a few times after the first three Canadian Olympic games, second guessing Steve Yzerman's selections on defense. But there is one thing that I am very curious about: how many people out there knew that all thirteen forwards and seven defensemen chosen for the roster dressed for every game?
