If my brother John believes that Yi is the answer, and sees fit to trade up for him, I'm cool with that. Otherwise, I trust my bro to decide between Joakim Noah or Brandan Wright.

I've soured on Hawes because his stock is slipping, and Hollinger's ratings peg him as a bust.

As long as there's SOMEBODY new on my brother's roster through pick or trade who's 6-9 or taller, and not named Spencer Hawes. If there's a curveball pick at # 9, I bet Johnny's got a trade worked out with someone. Zach Randolph? Marcus Camby? Kobe? The undead KG trade???

Having Duhon gone by the end of the night would be a welcomed sight. Duhon for a late first?? San Antonio, maybe?

I'd be intrigued if big brother picked up Big Baby later on. He could reunite with Tyrus, or just flame out like Sweets.

Anyway, I'm excited... unless John picks Spencer Hawes and stands pat. Blechk.

Nets sign Jay Williams to a nonguaranteed contract

"The Nets today will announce the signing of guard Jay Williams to a nonguaranteed contract, extending his chances of resuming his career in his home state."

Guess he caved on getting that guaranteed cash he was looking for.

http://c-n.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060928/SPORTS01/609280329/1011

Sign and Trade for Wilcox?

From the Sun-Times:

The 6-10 Wilcox thrived with the Sonics late last season after being traded from the Clippers, averaging 14.1 points and 8.2 rebounds in 29 games after the deal. He reportedly is seeking a five- or six-year contract paying him $10 million or more annually. That would be a money match for Chandler in a sign-and-trade deal with the Bulls, who impressed Wallace.

I would much rather have Chris Wilcox than P.J. Brown and J.R. Smith.

Did anyone else see the clip of James Dolan serving notice that Isiah has ONE MORE SEASON to turn around the Knicks? Deeee-licious. How nice would it be to see The Knicks with about 15 wins at the All-Star break, making Isiah a lame duck for the stretch. Rather than put up with Starbury and Stevie Franchise, Zeke can take his buyout and go run the CFL into the ground, while the Bulls get another top five pick.

Hypothetically, IF the Bulls miss out on the playoffs, is it possible that they COULD land TWO picks in the top three? If the Knicks' pick AND the Bulls' pick wind up in the top three, would that be worth missing the playoffs? Or does the NBA just give the Bulls one chance at a pick in the top three, combining the Knicks' and Bulls' lotto combinations? I know the chances of the Bulls getting into the top three after barely missing the playoffs are astronomical, I'm just wondering how the process works.

According to the Sun-Times:

The Bulls might have a new player on the roster tonight when they visit the Indiana Pacers.

Coach Scott Skiles said the team was looking to sign another guard after Chris Duhon was unable to practice Tuesday because of recurring pain in his lower back.

"We're talking about it right now,'' Skiles said after the two-hour workout.

Any idea as to who they'd get?
