I spoke to Brad Grant last week, and he said that his words [regarding Alex White] were taken a little out of context — it's not a permanent decision to move him to the pen, although they think that's most likely where he'll end up. He'll work in relief if he signs in time to pitch in 2009, and they'll reevaluate the plan after instructional league. I think there's a small chance he ends up a #2 starter, but he didn't show that stuff consistently this year after showing it last year.

I am a fan of this move. I made a comment last year suggesting that Furrey is the type of slot WR I would like to see on the Browns.

"Appearing on the Jim Rome Show Wednesday, free agent Derrick Ward mentioned the Browns, Texans, and Cardinals as potential landing spots."

While his age is of concern, Ward has fewer than 400 carries for his career to date and might not have the wear and tear that other runners his age have. His asking price appears to be modest

Let this be the official LETS GO CARDINALS fanshot. This guy is unguardable. Hopefully the Steelers expend Polamalu the whole game double teaming Fitz because nothing would make me happier than another couple TDs.

Forgetting my dislike for the Steelers, I tend to sympathize with a franchise that has had little to no success in their history. Not that Phoenix is a great fanbase, but they are let's be honest....would rather Pittsburgh get their 6th SB ring? I know I wouldn't
