I know Mike Miller's hairstyle might evoke some laughter (or an elbow from Kobe), but David West takes it a little too far.

First he tried to punk Roy, now he is karate chopping Miller after a foul wasn't called. I'm really starting to dislike the Hornets.

David West is a dirty player and he doesn't deserve to be an All-Star over Al Jefferson.

Blazers Drinking Game

After reading Dave's insightful Bulls/Blazers preview, I went over to Blog-A-Bull to get a different perpective on tonight's matchup.

I watched a little bit of the Saturday Bulls/OKC game on WGN . Vinny Del Negro looked like a deer in headlights after Larry Hughes and Ben Gordon both drew offensive fouls on 2 on 1 fastbreaks that they failed to make the extra pass. After the Bulls' suffered another heartbreaking OT loss to the team that shall not be named, it's safe to say that many BAB readers needed a Bulls Drinking Game (hilarious). They say that imitation is the finest form of flattery (plus plagerism is easy). So, In the spirit of our BAB ambassador, tominhawaii, I give you the Blazers Drinking Game:

Feel free to add/subtract to the game, but drink responsively into unconsciencous or until Vinny Del Negro cuts his mullet.

Negative Game:

Take one sip if

Brandon is in street clothes
Travis shoots a wild, contested 20 foot jumper with 10 or more seconds on the clock
Mike Rice mispronounces a player's name or talks about the refs excessively
Greg is caught on the perimeter guarding a pg/sg/sf off a pick-n-roll switch
LMA shoots 3 long jump shots in a row (non pick-n-rolls)
Blake tries to go one-on-one and shoots off the dribble
You forget Batum is even in the game
You have to ride a packed Max train home during a snow storm after a Blazer game and there are no attractive people next to you or you are closterphobic
Rudy has a bad hair day or doesn't move his feet defensively
Sergio or Channing take any shot that's not wide open or not within the offensive flow
Joel drops a wide open pass for a dunk/alley oop
Ike/Shav/Channing are playing crunch time minutes
Nate goes small and to a zone defense for long stretches of time
Bayless is afraid to shoot an open shot and drives the lane for a TO
Rebecca Haarlow blinks and holds her eyes shut for 2 or more seconds

Mike Rice talks trash about Steve Javie or Phil Jackson's high chair
Greg grabs an offensive rebound or throws down a monster slam
LMA feet touch the paint when posting up or he makes that beautiful sweeping hook across the lane
Blakie knocks down a dagger three or makes the right pass
Batum monster block or consistenly hits the offensive boards/moves his feet defensively
They show ads during the Blazers game featuring the younger, more voluptuous girl from the Jay Lee's Gladstone commercial (not the older woman)
Rudy alley oops or when he screems and makes the 3 sign with his fingers after a big three pointer to fire the home crowd up
Sergio makes a sweet pass or hits clutch free throws
Joel takes a charge or blocks a dunk
Ike/Channing/Shav are playing garbage minutes in a blowout
Nate draws up a score after a timeout
B-Rex screems after a monster play whether he's in the game or not

Did anyone notice LaMarcus Aldridge or Brandon Roy in the new Nike LeBron ad?

Plus, the Blazers are wearing their home whites and the Portland crowd is cheering for LeBron as he dunks and throws up chalk? (Enter conspiracy theory or wacky trade scenario here) Was that Reggie's barber shop in the vid? You be the judge.

I think I saw that commercial 100 timies before I noticed that. I know, I'm a bit slow.

Junk Drawer 11-13-08: Rudy Man Crush Edition

I officially have a man crush on Rudy. Back off Jon Barry, he's mine. That spinning, fade away jumper as the shot clock was winding down was sick. I'm tired of all the Michael Beasley Rookie of the Year hype. B-Easy aka Z-Bo Jr. was non existent in the 4th and couldn't guard RLEC. Rudy should be right up there for R.O.Y. if he continues to hit big shots and play a sound all-around game.

-Last night also marked Greg Oden's debut 2.0 and first career NBA points. Congrats, big man. He still looks shaky in the post, but had a few monster blocks. (The one on Chris Quinn shouldn't count, I could swat him)

-Another solid road win and the second consecutive win since the Blazers started wearing their red unis (pointed out by quality pie). It was nice to see a team in red win in Florida without the help of Jeb and Katherine. Next up are the Hornets on Friday. ‘Nawlins lost to the NBA's only undefeated team last night, timbo's L*kers. I'm looking forward to seeing James Posey's awkwardly long pre-game man hugs with the starters (I'm sure Shavlik would demand a trade if he played with Posey). It should be a good game if Paul doesn't drop a 50 and 10 on us.

-Skip to My Lou, aka Rafer Alston, and Matt Barnes got into a scuffle last night. Shaq won the fight after he pushed over the whole Rockets team. Luckily Artest was not in the game. However, the Rockets got the last lick, as they put the smack down on the elderly Suns.

-The Truth knocked down a Roy-esque game winning shot moments after Marvin Williams drained a corner three, as the Celtics beat the surprisingly good Hawks. I would love to see another Hawks/Celtics playoff series.

-Dwight Howard took out his frustration for Monday's loss to the Blazers by recording a 30 pts, 16 reb, 10 blk triple double against the lowly team that shall not be named.

-In other news, did anyone hear that Michael Crichton passed away at the age of 66 to a private battle with lung cancer on Nov. 5? He was always good for an entertaining pool side/beach read.

-The Killers album "Day and Age" and Kanye West's "808s and Heartbreak" will both drop on Nov. 24 to take advantage of the crappy economy and Black Friday.

-When is Lost coming back on the air? I caught a few reruns and can't wait to be baffled by a bunch of crap that doesn't make sense. For anyone who has HBO, I saw Summer Heights High the other night and it's pretty funny stuff. Best comedy since Extras on HBO.

-The new Bond flick, Quantum of Solace, hits theatres on Friday and looks bad ash. Finally something good is coming out that won't cause you to lose all hope in humanity like another Saw or High School Musical movie grossing 100 million.
