Judging the Royals
Got this through the KC Star.
When's Alex coming off the DL? And when will he be back in KC?
Anybody have any idea? I had a few too many beers the other night and drafted him late in a 12 team fantasy league. He's not hurting me since he's on the DL, but just curious when he'll be back up. I also took a shot on Ankiel late. He was 6 for 6 at the time against the Red Sox, so it seemed good at the time. Since I hit "DRAFT", he hasn't recorded a hit. Thinking I should dump him since clearly I ruined his streak.
Kendall's back in court
I love how the link says kansas city chiefs instead of royals.
Will Royals let Davies go?
I figured he was headed to the bullpen, but Ford isn't the only one in the media I've been reading/hearing say they wouldn't be surprised if the Royals let him go.
Looks like Teahen is struggling in Chicago so far
Excerpt from article:
With another three hitless at-bats Saturday, the veteran's average dropped to .105 through seven games with the White Sox. And Guillen's postgame tune changed just a bit.
As has been pointed out with closer Bobby Jenks' struggles, these March statistics ultimately mean nothing. Nonetheless, Guillen sees something missing with Teahen.
"I'm starting to worry a little bit about Teahen," Guillen said. "I see the same swing. He's not getting anything going for himself. He has to work to try to get better. He's going to get more at-bats. Right now, he's struggling at the plate."
Did something happen to Billy?
I did a fantasy draft last night and drafted Billy as my 1st baseman. When I went to check out my team after the draft, it lists him as Day to Day. It has no news on what is wrong. On ESPN, day to day is usually not a big deal, but I don't recall hearing he had any problems at all in spring training. Anybody know anything about this? Is it an ESPN error?
Gordon's punishment
According to the Star: Injured third baseman Alex Gordon took the lineups out to the umpires prior to the game.
Maybe tomorrow Trey will make him the bat boy.
The article also reminded us that Getz is 0 for 11 so far this spring. Maybe he'll play himself out of starting at second.
Ben's attorney says he is innocent, and expects no charges
I'm really anxious to hear what the girl says happened since the charge isn't rape
Where will Zack sign?
Heard the interview with Zack this morning on 610. He answered a question about the Royals offseason moves. He didn't seem overly impressed (like most of us). So, here's my question for everyone. Will Zack be willing to re-sign with the Royals when it is time or will he move on to an organization that gives him a chance to get to the postseason? I'm going with the assumption that "the process" hasn't paid off by the time he needs to re-sign. Can he handle the pressure of a bigger market team like the Yankees, Sox, Cubs, etc? The thing about being Zack in KC is that he is the hero and their is very little pressure.
Evidently Zack was too good today according to Master Trey
He actually wanted to see him do worse so he would throw more pitches? But he still thinks he can get Zack to where he needs to be to start the season. WFT?

Old article includes some info on why the Royals drafted Moose
Is this true? Was Wieters never really an option? How often has this been the case for the Royals?
