I must be the only one
I am so sick of hearing why we don't want to play the LA Lakers. I'm sick of hearing why we don't stand a chance. I'm fed up with the mindset that we can only beat one team, the Dallas Mavericks. Two years ago, we played Houston and missed out on the Lakers. Last season we went up against the Phoenix Suns and again avoided the Lakers. Yet both times we failed to show up... we went up against the team everyone said we stood the better chance of beating and we fell flat on our face and exited stage right as both the Rockets and Suns moved up and stole our opportunity.
Not to drag this out any longer, the basis for my beef is feeling like I'm the only one who feels that going up against the best is the best thing for this franchise? I'm sick of going up against "the other guys" losing and going home empty handed.... yet feeling that by losing to the guys you were supposed to beat you really let everyone down. I want to go up against the best. Win or lose. I want every series we are part of to be important, to be challenging. I want the fans to go crazy, the media to be 'positive', the players to be hungry!
The past couple of seasons we've went home thoroughly disgusted with our effort in the playoffs. Against teams maybe we went into the series not giving enough respect. Maybe we weren't as up for the previous two series'. I don't want to see that happen again. I hope Nate has figured out what it takes with these players, I hope these players have found the confidence in themselves and within one another to demand more than what they've given and accepted from one another in the past two seasons.
More than anything I want this team to go up against the best. Win or Lose. I don't care if we beat someone we 'should' beat to advance in the playoffs. I want to get past that! Lets not set the bar so low, lets show confidence in our team and show them that we feel they can beat the Lakers, that they don't need to get 'the easiest of match-ups" I'm fed up with the lack of confidence people are showing.
If you really bleed blazers, then don't show fear. Show your team you have their back. And bring on anyone who thinks they have what it takes to take us down. Quit buying into the 'we can'ts' and show the team you have faith and lets help them take the next step... not just advancing to the next round, we don't need to start another (83'-03') streak where we just become accustomed to making the playoffs... lets in-vision actually winning this thing?!

I'm still excited! are you?
Growing up in the midwest I didn't live close enough to any NBA city to really lay claim to a team. I moved to Beaverton in 2004 and first purchased my season tickets in 2006! I love this city and this team. Since I was a kid I have always been a St. Louis Cardinals fan too, I bleed red... The cardinal fans I've known in my life are good fans, but above all...faithful. I'm not so sure about some Portland Fans? Its easy come easy go... what have you done for me lately for some fans. I hope the core fans can really speak up and show this team that we support them regardless of its countless detractors . Go Blazers!
"Tonight, there was nothing real to cheer about. I'm one of the biggest Love fans out there but I'm done with the double/double streak. It's lipstick on a pig at this point. " Tim Allen from Canis Hoopus
Brandon may have found the answer! If he can count on someone as 'soft' as Rudy to absorb the impact his knees otherwise may take on a per possession basis, he might be able to last 10-12 more years! Unfortunately, I don't know how may blazers want to get kneed in the junk each night... hope Rudy is okay!
Welcome to Portland Mr. Cho!
Well Martell will find plenty of people stuck in the snow while in Minnesota! BADDA BING BADDA BOOM!
Posing with the Crew! Mike Rice got a kick out of the Ref Shirt. I told him I wore it for him, and that he better watch himself. lol
I know that nobody likes the Big 10 but I just have to give my Hawkeyes some HUGE RESPECT for knocking off Penn State and ruining their Championship Dreams! I don't know if the voters would have put them in the title game anyway but still its was a huge win for Iowa! Did anyone hear Grieses Comment about how their were more Hawkeye Fans on the Field after the game, than were in Corvallis when OSU beat USC!! I can't believe he said that! (he didn't really) but damn I know I thought about it!!!! Theres always next year Joe Poo
Hey Haters! Tell me how my *** ******!!
Apparently using Shaq's key note phrase is against the rules and I'm not a law breaker! so instead I give you the power of the Asterick!
Anyhow I thought that Travis deserved a little love after all the ill will and trade rumors 'we' have started up the past few days.
"Anyone interested in getting together on Wednesday and watching the the Jazz game? I know that its in the works to make McFaddens our 'prefunk' party spot. But until something is solid any ideas?"

IText Book Release
'm sending out this fanpost to show what good form looks like on a jumper. It does help however not to have 'nic batum' in your face. Still good form though.
Can't wait too see you in the Garden Utah, with BRoy and LA playing and a healthy DW.
Last Night at McFaddens!! (PICTURES)
First of all WHERE WERE YOU? I know where I was!
It was nice walking to a bar knowing your about to meet a bunch of people for the first time. As I stepped in the first thing I noticed were a handful of differant blazer fans talking amongst themselves. Then I heard "yeah I think he's here" that would be Emily talking to Sophia to make sure I made it safe and sound. (way to to look out!) So had some drinks, met some more BEdgers and had some more drinks!
I got to meet TominHawaii as well as his wife which was pretty cool! Tom Flew in from Hawaii for opening night! If I'd have known I might have offered to house sit for him for the trip... at his expense of course!
Emily is great! Sophia is a bombshell. enough said.
Okay enough blah blah blah... on with the pics!

A Night for the Fans (PICTURES)
Tonight was an incredible time to be a Portland Trailblazer Fan. I left work early to down to Macfaddens where I was to meet some fellow BEdgers before heading to the Garden. I got to meet Sophia and Emily as well as Tom from Hawaii and his wife. There were others too Andy, and the Outlaw fan (sorry names escaping me!) We had a great time!
At the game I did my best to keep up with our group as I had my camera along with me to keep me busy. I don't know how many people I introduced myself to while walking around the garden. I am creating this post for all the Blazer fans who were curtious enough to let me snap a photo! I made sure to share that I was shooting for Blazers Edge and that I'd have photos up in the morning! Hence this post!
If you are new to the sight and posed for me last night, thanks! Your picture should be somewhere below!

I have tickets to see Houston come to town on Nov. 6th at 7pm. Unfortunately its the same night as my nephews football banquet of which I'm going to attend. I want to sell the pair of seats for $40 to the first person who responds with interest. It is the second game of the year. I normally will not post something like this but since I just found out about the banquet and it's only a few weeks away I wanted to help myself out by helping YOU out!

"The Celtics have 16 players and can keep only 15. Rivers said he’d rather release someone sooner than later in order to give that player a chance to catch on elsewhere. Darius Miles is the only player without a guaranteed contract, and he’s the likeliest candidate to be released. Miles didn’t play last night."
Pictures Jazz @ Portland from 326
Okay so I moved from 119 to 326 this season. No I didn't want to do so, it was more of an economic issue. That said, I'm pretty happy with my seats. For those of you up in the neighborhood of 326 I'm in Row F seats 1-2. Feel free to stop by and say hi, maybe bringing a beer with you as a good gesture? I don't know up to you. lol
Anyway these are just a handful of pictures from tonights loss to the Jazz. All things considered I can't say I'm dissapointed with our play, we held our own considering who started, who didn't play and the fact that Utah did play all their big guns for roughly 20+ minutes.
Props to out to Battum, Outlaw and Sergio in tonights game. Hope you like the pictures!
