Bucs Nation Finally... RuudAwakening has arrived in Nashville, TN.

After roughly 6 hours on the road I am here. Staying right across from LP Field at the Ramada Inn. I am pretty excited for the game tomorrow & going to try to get some nice pics, however, there is an 80% chance of heavy rain tomorrow so I don't know how much camera action there will be. I am here with a very good buddy who is a Titans fan so it should be a good time none the less. We are sitting around the 40 yard line 11 rows behind the Buccaneer's bench, for those of you watching on TV we should be easy to identify if the camera scans our way. I will be dressed in a pirate costume with a Freeman Jersey on, the pirate hat is hard to miss. My buddy will have a "Titans" painted face mask on. For those of you attending the game if you see me introduce yourself, I'd love to meet you guys. Also, if anyone is in the area for the game already we will be hitting up the downtown scene tonight, probably be at the Full Moon Saloon mostly, although I will be sans Pirate suit I will be sporting a Bucs sideline hat like the one Freeman wears. HIt me up & we will enjoy a beer (or several) & talk Bucs football!

Bucs Nation I have looked this list over & over....

Jason Cole's FA list

And I swear, some of his rankings seem rediculous... Maybe I am missing something, but browse through the rankings at each position & see if some look rediculous. Like OL for instance, he says Trueblood is the 3rd best O-Lineman available. And is the 21st best overall FA available. Actually has him ranked over Free, Joseph, Clabo, & Gaither...Seriously??? Most of the other positions are what I would consider pretty close. Read through it & tell me what you guys think.

Pretty encouraging read here. Looks like Freeman has the best mindset/plan possible going into this offseason! Glad to hear our offense at least is not going to let the possible lockout keep them down!

Bucs Nation Aldon Smith...

I just read a Mock Draft that has us taking Aldon Smith at #20, which was before both Clayborn & Kerrigan. All the reports I read on Smith are that he has great speed & a great swim move, but lacks power & size & could very well end up as a 3-4 LB. Is there something I am missing here? I know there are several here not that high on Clayborn or Kerrigan either one. I can't say as I am knowledgeable enough to form an opinion either way, but I have liked what little I saw from both Kerrigan & Clayborn. Aldon Smith I hadn't seen much of really & from the reports seems like somewhat of a bad fit. What are your opinions on this?

Freeman completed 21 of 26 passes for 255 yards and two touchdowns in the Buccaneers' 23-13 win over the New Orleans Saints.

You know what to do guys! Lets make it 2 in a row for Freeman!

Sabby goes to the Browns...He didn't last long on the waivers. What do you think the Browns saw in him? Were they looking for superior ability to miss tackles & blow coverage? I guess they figured they haven't given up enough big plays lately...

Bucs Nation View from the Bengals Endzone...

So I had the privilege of going to the Bucs game in Cincy. My wife & I had tickets in the corner endzone just above the tunnel where the Bengals run out, I was basically dressed to take the field if needed, my wife also wore a jersey. Needless to say there were several rowdy Bengals fans all around me & also needless to say there was a lot of trash talking both by them & myself. It was a great experience for my very first Bucs game, with the funny banter back & forth with Bengals fans & the awesome nail biting victory.

From where I was we had a great view & I got a few decent pics between beers & trash talking, including one of the game tying TD pass by Freeman. Overall, I came away with a few realizations....When the game is on the line with less then 2 minutes left & the Bucs are driving the field, the chants for the Bengals DE-FENSE were very loud. Then when Freeman connected with Mike Williams in the endzone right if front of me the place got quiet. At that point I decided it would be a great idea to stand up, turn around & try to get the DE-FENSE chant started again, only because I thought it was funny almost every time they started that chant Freeman done something good....Not so much, several fans got pretty mad at me, but that is ok, they gave me loads of crap the entire game. However, after the controversial catch (which I honestly thought would be overturned) & the game winning FG I was told by several fans to "watch my ass on my way out" which I thought was a bit childish & uncalled for. Of course the fact that I left the stadium chanting nah-nah-nah-nah, nah-nah-nah-nah....Hey Hey Hey TAMPA BAY..Could have also been viewed as childish.

Overall it was a great time, Paul Brown Stadium is pretty nice, & other then Bengals fans being sore losers the atmosphere was pretty cool & the trash talking was fun. I hope to make it to Tampa for a game either later this season or next season as I would like to experience the game from the "home" position.

Disclaimer: Yes I know this is kind of a worthless post, however, I started this with the intentions of posting my pictures, however, I have realized I don't know how to post pictures here...If someone could fill me in on that I will gladly post some up.

Bucs Nation Flying to Tampa for opening weekend vs. the Browns.

Hello fellow Bucs Fans! I know I haven't posted much during the offseason, but I have been here reading regularly! I am sure some of you remember me from last season on here. Anyhow, as the title says, I will be flying to Tampa with a buddy of mine (who is a diehard Browns fan) for the Sept. 12th Buccaneers vs. Browns game. We will be flying in on Friday evening & out on Monday. I need some reccomendations on some things such as: Best place to stay, coolest bars to hang out at, best seats to try & obtain for around $150ish per ticket, & possibly most importantly does anyone do any TAILGATING? Any answers/reccomendations you guys have will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Ian

Go BUCS!

Bucs Nation WR Figurs released!!

Guess what....Michael Spurlock is a Buc..Again!! The man who returned our first ever Kickoff for a TD is a Buc again..I honestly wouldn't mind to see him duplicate his run a couple more times! Ok, so Figurs is repleased, Spurlock is signed and I have to get to 75 words! How is the weather in Tampa lately? He in KY has been cold and wet. Pretty much sucks, looks like a Mud brown Christmas for us..

Bucs Nation Who here plays Madden 10

on XBOX 360? First of all I would like to say that in my Franchise Freeman is becoming quite the beast, however, in online play he is VERY inaccurate, although I am not doing him any favors as I am not great at QBing, he is still very inaccurate. Anyway, I am look for some people to play, & I thought it would be cool to play some fellow Bucem readers online! I haven't played online much & honestly I am pretty horrible, I am like 2 & 16 so yeah, I resemble the real Bucs when playing LOL. Anyway, if you guys play, let me know!

Bucs Nation Cadillac anyone?

I was just thinking that it would be nice to toss a post out there that everyone can pretty much agree was awesome to see in week 1. Cadillac ran with sheer determination, hit the holes and made some sweet moves. I have to say, if he stays healthy all season Ward will continue to be #2. Ward ran great as well! He is more of a threat in the pass game than Caddy so they will definitely use both; however, Caddy dominated the run game it was awesome...

Was anyone else about to S**t their pants when he was crawling on the ground after his long run? I know I was. I guess he was just retrieving his mouthpiece; however, he did limp a little and adjust his pads when he got up. He then came off the field, which I sure was to take a breather after the hard run, however, at the time I was a little worried.

I am really excited to see what the rest of the season holds for our run game. I think the possibility of having 2 1000+ yd rushers is definitely not out of the question. Ward has to tools to do it as a #2 back we know that, and he should see a fair amount of carries this year. Caddy, if healthy all season, I believe will have a 1200+ yd year pretty easily....

There is nothing I like better then a good rushing attack, and I think it is safe to say, that if nothing else we should have that this year.
