A tall chap from the Boston area, currently living in Santa Barbara, CA with my lovely wife, my son Devo, and our Norwich terrier, Alfie. I studied English in college. I like to travel, and I sometimes dabble in music, comedy, and other shenanigans. I like TED videos, hip hop, Settlers of Catan, Top Chef, Top Gun, Top Cat, tapenade, Topps, and tops. Now top that!
I'm a graphic, UI and front-end web designer, proud to be Creative Director with SB Nation's small product team. I spend my days staring at screens and messing with XHTML, CSS, and Photoshop.
Before joining SB Nation, I helped design and build political campaign and progressive community websites for clients including Senators John Edwards, Mark Warner, Tom Harkin and Sherrod Brown; the NRDC; and Creative Commons founder Lawrence Lessig. I used to drive an ice cream truck.

Anybody using Fitocracy yet? It appears to be invite-only at present. I can't seem to properly connect it with Runkeeper, but I like the idea of the social gaming stuff.

SB Nation is Proud to Sponsor Kick! at SXSW 2010
Will you be in Austin during this year's SXSW? Come out and join us for a rousing game of kickball and some breakfast tacos. Veteran blogger Anil Dash started Kick! in 2002 as a way for South by Southwest Interactive attendees to meet each other and get some exercise. And with the conference growing by leaps and bounds, we think these kinds of activities are more important than ever.
SB Nation is proud to sponsor this year's game, on Saturday March 13th, 10:30am at Palm Playground behind the convention center. We'll bring equipment, coffee, breakfast tacos and t-shirts. Whether you're attending SXSW or just staying in the Austin area, we hope you'll come on out and join us for a good time. We're thinking of adding some twists to traditional kickball rules to keep things interesting.
Whether you're looking to play or just to socialize, we hope you'll come join us. Trei Brundrett and I will be on hand to help Anil keep the games going, and we'd love to talk with anyone who can make it!

Flickr's The Commons has been a great resource for vintage images with no copyright restrictions, such as this Library of Congress shot I used for our Blog Huddle Logo.
It's also fun just to click through old photos, especially those involving athletes and/or moustaches. (via The Library of Congress)
