The West Virginia media continues to drop bombshells on the West Virginia athletics department over this Memorial Day weekend. Today, Chuck Landon of The Herald-Dispatch in Huntington penned a piece in which he alleges that Mountaineer head-coach-in-waiting Dana Holgorsen has been involved in as many as six alcohol-related incidents in as many months.

This comes nearly two weeks after police were called to a West Virginia casino to eject an intoxicated Holgorsen, which at the time appeared to be an isolated incident.  But on Saturday, The Intelligencer / Wheeling News-Register reported otherwise, revealing other events.

Donovin Darius signs a one-day contract with Jacksonville

Donovin Darius signed a one-day contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars today, ending his 10-year career with the team that drafted him.

The former Syracuse University All-American played his first nine NFL seasons with the Jags after they selected the defensive back with the 25th pick of the 1998 NFL Draft.  He played three games for the Miami Dolphins in 2007 before the team released him.

Darius, 35, is listed as a member of the coaching staff at Bishop O'Dowd High School in Oakland, Ca.  He guided the defensive backs in the 2010 season, helping the school to a league title.

Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician 'Prime Time' reports fellow Cuse alum Keith Bulluck's signing with NYG

Former 620 WHEN radio host "Prime Time" Adam Schein is reporting that former Syracuse linebacker Keith Bulluck will sign a one-year deal with the New York Giants.

Bulluck was also being courted by Arizona, but ultimately decided to play closer to his hometown of Suffern, NY.  The deal will allow the 33-year-old to make up to $2.5 million this season.  He told ESPN.com's Tom Friend that he has been offered the job of middle linebacker.

Bulluck spent 10 seasons as an outside linebacker with Tennessee.  The Titans chose him in the first round of the 2000 NFL Draft; he appeared in 157 out of a possible 160 games since then.

Bulluck played strong safety, middle linebacker, and outside linebacker during his college career with the Orange.  He was named the program's MVP as a senior after leading the Big East with 138 tackles.
