A Humbling Reminder

BCB Store?

This idea is sort of random, and it just kind of popped into my head. I'm not sure SBN would allow it, but if it would, how would you guys feel about the idea of a store? Obivously, this would all be up to Al, but it's just a thought. Maybe all of the profit not being dumped back into the store would be donated to Project 3000 or something of the sort?

I joined BCB apparently in the post-ERIC HANNA era. So, up to this point, I have no idea who this legendary poster is. I have heard many, many, many references to his name. This has made me feel somewhat lost as to what you guys may be talking about.

Andre at Woodfield Mall

I'm sorry I didn't post this as soon as I found out about it for all you suburbanites, but Andre Dawson was scheduled to sign autographs today at the Field of Dreams store at Woodfield Mall. I was able to get tickets through a friend and we went together. They only were allowed to sell 250 tickets at most. He enters the building and is walking towards the store, and everybody claps for him. Keep in mind I wasn't old enough to see him play, but he is a BIG man. When we finally get inside to meet him, I had completly forgotten what I had planned to say to him. He was just that intimidating. The words came out something along the lines of "Hi Mrz. Dawshone." He then said "Hmm?" I quickly regained my composure and said "Hi, Mr. Dawson, congrats." He then signed it and I left. I had never gotten to see him play, but I could tell right there how he commanded all the respect he did.
P.S. Sorry if this should've been under the Andre Greatest Memories post. I just thought since I should've given a heads up about this earlier.
