Destination Phoenix blog 6
(as written by Tastic)
To all our beloved readers...
(All 7 of you who continue to read the updates - cheers!)
The time is almost here.
We have but 6 days until the Destination Phoenix Crew hit the road for the Suns adventure of a lifetime. Much has changed since we first planned this epic trip back in August, including roster changes - for the Suns and NF33IH - as well as exchange rates fluctuating more than the Warriors' rotation. It's made it a pinch for all of us, though some of us purchased currency way back when the rates were a healthy green, and not like the oozing, dull brown that they are now!
The Suns have clicked as of late, winning 4 of 5..the only L being against that retirement home known as the Spurs. The less we say about that the better, as far as I know we haven't faired too successful against them since before Adam.
As I sit here with the laptop on my desk, I plead to you local Phoenicians to come and meet us, greet us, enjoy a drink or five, and help us experience PHOENIX! It's going to be an amazing adventure, and somewhat like a Suns Brady Brunch, we have matching tees to wear out and about, with our nicknames/usernames on the back so you can pick us out of a crowd. If you see us at the games, and hear us chanting with a downunder twang, join in! Or clap...depending on whether we're doing
well or not!
Anyway, this is just a quick update to keep you all up to date with our progress. Remember to watch out for us in Toronto, Boston, New York, Charlotte, Atlanta and Washington, where we'll be doing all we can to cheer the Suns to victory and represent Planet Orange to the best of our ability.
So that's that. The last blog before we hit the skies and road.
The next lot will be shorter but more frequent, and should have the odd photo/video so you can put a picture to the scrawl...
cheers!!
GO SUNS!

trade about to happen - jrich?
Trade about to happen - bell diaw singletary gone Jrich and dudley coming in
according to an inside source.....
hmmm thoughts if it happens? Personally i am a massive diaw fan and think he will be an awesome player in the right system, unfortunately next to amare he does struggle somewhat
singletary is no loss and bell is competently replaced by jrichardson - overall i dont mind the trade but would have preferred to get a 3 point shooting SF rather than an SF (mike miller mike miller.....)

Destination Phoenix! 5 fans journey from down under to the valley!
Ed Note from Phx Stan:
All right Suns fans. Time to step up and show these guys from down under how we roll. If they are dragging their asses all the way around the world to watch our team then we can meet them for one game in Phoenix on Feb 2.
I've secured 6 tickets for BSoS and will be giving a couple away when I think up a suitable contest. In the mean time I am looking for a bunch of locals to step up and sign up for this game. Upper level corners - $32 a seat.
We need to move fast to get our group in there together.
Email me at phoenixstan at gmail dot com to get your tickets. Do it now!
Here's the full story from our adventurous fellow fanatics from down under...
Some of you may have read this on other suns forums, but its a journey we are trying to share with suns fans everywhere so it would be negligent of us not to let the fans here at BSotS about the journey
The suns are a classy organization from management right down to the players and support staff. So its no wonder that so many international fans with no ties to any NBA cities, choose to support the mighty Suns. In some cases these fans are even more die hard than some locals, having to take days off just to watch big games, getting up at 3 am for live playoff matches, watching grainy stop start low quality streams on 15 inch monitors just to see the suns somehow, and even traveling the 30 thousand plus km's just to catch a regular season game live.
That last scenario is about to take place, with 5 die hard suns fans from Australia and New Zealand (only 2 of which have met each other before) getting together in January to make the trip to the USA with the sole purpose of cheering on the suns and seeing some games live!
