JR Smith signs with new representation....you'll never guess who
I thought this news is important enough to warrant a Fan Post. JR Smith has changed representation. He's now signed with Leon Rose. This made me ask several questions.
Should we be worried? Is he going to "go home" to New Jersey? Is this a bad omen? Should we really start disliking Leon Rose even more? Should we be scared of Leon Rose even more? Have I reached 75 words yet?
Read more about it here
Carmelo Anthony second in All-Star Voting for Western Conference
He's only 140,000 votes behind Kevin Durant
Carmelo Anthony third in All-Star voting
NBA All-Star voting is underway and today early results were published. So far, our very own Carmelo Anthony is sitting in 3rd place behind Kevin Durant and Pau Gasol for forwards in the West. It's very annoying that Gasol is ahead of Melo in voting. I'd love to see Melo in the All-Star game (wearing a Nuggets jersey, darn it!).

Come on Stiffs, let's get to voting and get Melo past the Spanish Llama!!!

NBA Fanhouse: Nuggets still hopeful that Carmelo Anthony will sign extension
Amongst all the latest trade rumors, Sam Amick from Fanhouse indicates that the Nuggets still have hope that Melo will sign the extension.
I found the below portion interesting and seems like new information.

Melo talks with Fanhouse about his future
Nothing new here, but was an interesting listen nonetheless.
George Karl on Nuggets: "I'll Walk Away"
Interesting article that I think everyone needs to read. This seems like it could have some impact on Melo's situation. Feel free to discuss.
Rising Stars Game in AFL on MLB Network Tonight
The Rising Stars Game will be live from the Arizona Fall League on the MLB Network tonight at 6PM PT
Also, it looks like Rex Brothers will be on the roster.
Sneak peek of Melo's new ad
I think it's pretty funny

A Thugget Loyalist View 3.0 - Is it Over?
Good Morning, fellow Thugget Loyalists!! I urge you all to not give up on this team just yet. I don't have anything pithy or insightful or clever to offer today, but I still believe in our swagger, spirit, and talent will prevail in the end. Melo (and all his fans in Utah!), Chauncey, Kenyon, Nene, AAA, Swish, Teh Blurrrrr, BIRDMAN, The Johan, AC, TACOS, Karl's Jr, and that New Guy will resume playing like the Thuggery we've come to know and love.
But until then, I'll leave you with these inspirational words from John Belushi.

GO NUGGETS!!!!!!!!!!
A Thugget Loyalist View 2.0..Back Away from the Edge
Once more, I'm compelled to post because of shock and dismay at how quickly every one is jumping off bridges and the bandwagon. This season is NOT over!!
As terrible as last night's game turned out, how can we immediately assume that we will be trounced in the playoffs? We no longer control our destiny for where we start the playoffs, but we sure as heck can control the outcomes of those games.
So rather than obtain bullets, I will post some bullet points as to why we can succeed in the playoffs despite the odds:

A Response to the Kenyon April Fool's Day Prank Thread
I found this article about Kenyon Martin's speech impairment. This came up in the thread about the April Fool's Day prank involving Kenyon. Many people responded that Kenyon was out of line and that quite possibly his outburst was related to him having Tourette's syndrome. I did a little Googling(is that a word?), and found the following column from the Seattle Times from 2005, where he discusses his stutter in some depth. It mentions that the blinking and head jerks are a part of the stuttering issue. I think it's very insightful and may help put to rest the some of the confusion. And, Kenyon's response to this difficult challenge makes me respect and admire Kenyon even more.

Are we relieved?
A Thugget Loyalist View or Why We Should NOT Give Up on the Season
I've decided to make my first ever FanPost, (please be gentle) because of my dismay at the overwhelming negativity by so many Stiffs these days. I've been a Nuggets fan for more years than I care to remember and this current team is BY FAR the best we've ever had. And clearly, I'm no basketball expert, just a loyal fan, who loves this team. Right now, it's a rough patch at the wrong time.
So, fellow Stiffs, let's not jump off the bandwagon just yet! But if you feel so inclined, jump with me, and read the rest of my non-expert but loyal fan thoughts of our beloved, if currently bemused Thuggets :).

Helton contract details from Renck
Well, this is very interesting, especially the part about Todd's ability to void the extension. I've never heard of a player being able to do this before. What does everyone make of this?
