The Dolphins vs Michael Vick
Since we already know that Michael Vick will not be playing for the Dolphins from what Jeff Ireland has stated, it might be fun to ponder whether or not we might get a chance to play against Michael Vick. Here is a list of our 2009 opponents:
Patriots, Bills, Jets, Falcons, Colts, Chargers, Saints, Bucs, Panthers, Jaguars, Titans, Texans, and Steelers
The "Vick to Dolphins" debate has been talked about a bunch here and the majority seems to not want anything to do with him. But, how would you feel going up against him? Afraid to see the WildCat turned against us? Excited to see the WildCat thrown in his face? Hoping to see Joey Porter beat him like a dog? Do you even think any of the teams on our schedule will take a chance with him?

Miami Dolphins 4 Game Flex Pack
Hey Dolfans, just reminding you all of a really good deal that the Dolphins are offering right now for some decent tickets. They're advertising it on their official website. It's basically a "Buy Three Get One Free" bargain. I just bought tickets to see the Dolphins beat the Bill, Saints, Buccaneers, and the Jets on Monday Night Football. The deal lets you pick from one late night game and three regular time games.
The seats you have to choose from are Upper Sideline seats (which put you in the nosebleed section but still a good view) and Lower Sideline seats (a diagonal view close to the endzone). Both are on the visiting side which works good for me and my heckling skills (Nationals outfielder Adam Dunn learned this the hard way).
So if you were looking to get to a couple of games this year but didn't want to fork out the money for season tickets, this deal would be right up your ally. Act fast though because this deal is only a limited time offer. Go Dolphins!

I saw the fear in Sanchez's eyes at the Rookie Symposium
Last night was my last night working the NFL Rookie Sympoisum. Here are some interesting tidbits:
- Mark Sanchez and Matthew Stafford are like two peas in a pod. They're always walking around together. Get a room
- NFL Network was on all of our TVs at the bar because they were mentioning the symposium at our hotel. But at one point in the show, they talked about the Dolphins in their "32 teams in 32 days" segment (we were number 16). At one point, they were discussing the dangerous duo that is Joey Porter and Jason Taylor. I kid you not, when that part of the show came on, Mark Sanchez had a look on his face that I would describe as "concerned" HAHAHAHA! The look on his face was worth a million dollars. I will never forget that face!
- I was able to snag one of the symposium footballs they had around the bar. Here's a picture of it
Go Dolphins!

Some Tidbits from the NFL Rookie Symposium
Just got back from work. I barely made any money on the count of the rookies not allowed to drink alcohol while at the symposium, but I did get to enjoy the scenery. Here are some tidbits
- Pat White, along with all the other Dolphin Rookies, showed up to the symposium.
- I'm the same height as Sean Smith, but not nearly as buff.
- Got a chance to shake Patrick Turner and Vontae Davis' hands and say hello. Won't be washing that hand until preseason
- Marc Sanchez was hanging out with some players that included Patrick Turner ans Sean Smith in the lobby right next to where I was so I was able to listen in on some of the conversation. At one point, someone cracked on Sanchez's GQ cover and everyone laughed at him. It was great!
- The left tackle that the Lions drafted could throw me like a javelin.
- I'm pretty sure I could take Pat White in a wrestling match
- At the end of the night, Rams DE Chris Long closed down the bar while hitting on a sexy Puerto Rican girl. He was actually a nice guy to talk to... and a generous tipper.
- Aaron Maybin didn't impress me with his size. Jake Long will eat him for lunch and have room for soup.
That's about it. I never said I'd have big breaking news to report, but just some minor tidbits to help us get our NFL fix. I must say that I had to fight the urge to leap over the bar and shank Dirty Sanchez in the ACL with my wine opener. If you're really interested in what the NFL Rookie Symposium is like, the NFL Network will be doing a special on it at 7:00pm tonight. Go Dolphins!

NFL Rookie Symposium taking place at my work!
As many of you may already know, the NFL will be conducting it's Rookie Symposium this year at the PGA Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this, the Rookie Symposium serves as an introductory into the NFL and goes over several things such as league guidelines, how to handle the media, how to handle agents, what the rule changes are from college ball to pro ball, and so on. Every other year, this event is hosted at the PGA Resort & Spa. I just so happen to be a bartender at this resort which means I get to hang out with all the rookies! I worked the event two years ago and it was a lot of fun. One rookie (I won't reveal his name) was hitting on a 16 year old hostess CONSTANTLY and I ended up giving him my e-mail saying that it was hers and she wanted me to give it to him. Long story short, I decided not to get this guy into serious trouble (and I could have). Did I mention he had a wife?
Anyways, I'll be sure to keep you up with any and all juicy tidbits I pick up in the next couple days during the symposium. So far, I heard a rumor that Pat White would not be showing up to the event for whatever reason. Not 100% though, it's just a rumor. Go Dolphins!

Grading The 2006 Dolphins Draft
With all this talk about "Taking 3 years to grade a draft...", well let's do it then. Three years ago, 2006, we drafted the following guys:
| 1 | 16(16) | Jason Allen | S | Tennessee |
| 3 | 18(82) | Derek Hagan | WR | Arizona State |
| 4 | 17(114) | Joe Toledo | T | Washington |
| 7 | 4(212) | Fred Evans | DT | Texas State |
| 7 | 18(226) | Rodrique Wright | DT | Texas |
| 7 | 25(233) | Devin Aromashodu | WR | Auburn |
So let's grade it. It shouldn't be too hard.

Dolphins for the Holidays!
Seasons greetings, Dolfans! I'm starting this thread for everyone to list any Dolphin related stuff they are giving or hopefully recieving for the holiday season. Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Boxing Day... who cares as long as it's Dolphin related! So feel free to list the items and hopefully some readers will get some ideas to put on their list.
Me, I'm asking for a Ted Ginn jersey and a custom Dolphins license plate. God help me if the guy behind me at the red light doesn't know I'm a die hard Dolfan.

Camarillo is Burning
The Miami Herald did an article on 11/6/08 about Dolphins WR Greg Camarillo. In the Article, it mentions Camarillo doing a correspondent part on the ESPN show Jim Rome is Burning. According to the article, Camarillo plays interviewer to other Dolphin players. The article aslo talks about a few other things pertaining to Camarillo. Here is a link to the article.
I did not see when exactly the bit on Camarillo would air, but I assume it would air on 11/7.
