Chad Qualls of San Diego Padres claims he has been spit on in AT &T Bullpen?
Was just watching Chris Jenkins broadcasting from A T & T park and Jenkins stated that "Chad Qualls (San Diego Padres) claims he has been 'yelled at in the face and that he has been spit upon while in the Bullpen warming up during a game." at AT &T Park.
I have been at the San Francisco Giants/San Diego Padres series (seated not far from the Padres Bullpen) and while the ribbing and shouts directed toward the Padres players has been pretty good nature d and usually (While it CAN be salty) has and is not anything that is usually experienced in any other MLB park. While the language can be salty, or even vicious, I have yet to see anyone spit or throw something toward any visiting player in the bullpen.
I believe security at AT & T Park has been more than PRO-active and the park has always been a VERY SAFE park especially in protecting players and fans alike. I do not believe this actually took place (in my beloved San Francisco Giants home field) and if it did, the fan should be ejected from the game. I would expect that the fan be removed if the Giants where playing somewhere and someone spit on our bullpen (Brian Wilson) pitchers!
Lets face it, if someone spit on our players, we would be up in arms! Giants fans are really great sports fans and the City of San Francisco, is the tolerant, live and let live city, so I have to say I "DON"T BELIEVE IT!"
Giants: So what Short Stops are on available to trade for?
Who would you pick to play Short Stop for the Giants?
Giants Need to Sign Tim!
Why do the Giants Management seem to think that older is better?
Giants please get someone that can hit. PLEASE? Christmas 09?
The Giants can still make this fan cry in frustration....
Manny in 2009 All-Star Game?
Come On! a 50 game suspension for substance abuse and he still makes the All-Star ballot and team?
IS this right? IF MLB where serious about getting the stuff out of baseball, shouldn't they ban Manny from such activities as well during his 50 game suspension?
Oh, but he might sell some tickets for MLB at the All-Star game? What it's just about the money he (Manny!) can generate? Is he going to participate in the "MUCH televised" HOME RUN Derby? Guess the ratings will be through the roof, ah, MLB?
Anybody else want to comment on Manny and the All Star Game?
Personal vote for All Star-game: I would like to nominate Bengie Molina, but he is in a real slump of late... Matt Cane and Tim are both getting votes from me.
