The Cannon A Fans First Game! Suggestions?

Hey guys, Im a big time Blue Jackets fan (and admittedly Bruins, but hey, East and West so it doesnt conflict) from New Hampshire and Im incredibly excited to attend my first game. Ill be hitting Nationwide when the Devils come to town on March 20th. Now everyone here at The Cannon seems like the biggest fans Ive come in contact with, so I come to you asking for help.

This will be my first trip ever into Columbus and any suggestions on how to make my experience the best it can be would be much appreciated. Ill be driving in early on Sunday and staying til mid day Monday, but other than the game, my planning is only begginging. Ideas from best places to stay (close to arena, easy to get to), places to eat (where do alll the fans go, best food, atmosphere) or sights to see (related to hockey and other) would all be of great help.

The town Im from in NH is about this /...../ big so Im not great with driving in the city so tips on taxi or foot travel is something Im also interested in learning more on. But if navigating the city is easy enough I would possibly drive to the game. The smaller details Im sure Ill fill in the closer the game gets, so overall I just wanna hammer out some of the bigger plans now. Thanks in advance for any help you guys offer. Cant wait!

Stanley Cup of Chowder Playoff viewing question

So I didnt really know who else to ask so I look to SCOC nation for some help. Im really looking to soak up some playoff atmosphere to watch the game tomorrow and Im thinking about heading into Boston. I was looking for a few suggestions on where to go. I was thinking the viewing party at the hard rock but "light refreshments and appetizers" didnt really seem like to much of a party. Anyone been to one before? Its about a 2 hour trip from EBF New Hampshire so I wanna make sure its a worth while time. Any direction for my search would be greatly appreciated.

GO BRUINS!!!!

Stanley Cup of Chowder "Mad" Mike finds controversy again

Fresh off the heals of his last years "wussification" fiasco on HNIC, Mike Milbury has once again stirred up some controversy, this time on the grand stage of the Olympics. If you happened to catch the post game coverage of Canada's beat down over Russia, you may have heard Mike use the term "eurotrash" to describe the Russians game. Now I didn't so much as blink when I heard the use of the term but his broadcast partners immediate began to distance themselves from his comments at the first chance they got. And today the main page of yahoo.com featured a story on the incident, with the author calling out Mike for trying being an American Don Cherry wanna-be and that he should be taken off air for a few broadcasts. Is "eurotrash" some sort of inappropriate phrase coined long ago? I personally still see no problem with how he said it. Do you?
