Lee Evans
Just curious what everyone thinks about our season ( now that its over) not having Lee Evans. Unfortunately i didn't get to see him play in any of the ravens games but i hope he did well. Anyways, do you think our team would have had more success and potentially made the playoffs if we had him stretching the field? Was it a bad move letting him go or not? Do you think having him kept Scuba Steve in check? I love Stevie and hope we keep him btw.
Fantasy Football Early Mid to Late Round Pickups.
Just like the headline says, I have some mid to late round ideas and wanted to see what round you guys think is appropriate to pick these guys up. Also, If you have any other sleepers or good pick ups throw them down there as well. Im just going to copy my notes down of the players to save time, so you can ignore all that if you want. Anyways, here I go...
Fantasy Football Mid to Late Round Picks
Running Backs
Ryan Williams(ARZ)- Between him and Beanie Wells. Take Either one available
Daniel Thomas (MIA)- Rookie Rb. Only has to fight against Reggie Bush for carries. Probably goes round 4 or 5.
Landanian Tomlinson(NYJ)- On his decline but great later round pick up. Only fighting Shonne Green for carries and within the 5 yard line outscored green 11-3. He gets the Goal line work.
Mike Tolbert (SAN)- Only Ryan Mathews there and Sproles is gone now. The rollie pollie 240 shorty gets the goal line points.
Jerious Norwood (STL)- S-Jax new backup. Number 2 on depth chart. Second back on a pass happy McDaniels team, but could definitly get some looks as the season starts to wear. Speedy Gonzolez outta Atlanta.
Wide Receivers
Mike Simms Walker (STL)- Traded to McDaniels pass happy attack in St. Louis. Has Bradford throwing to him. Good Situation
Danny Amendola (STL)- Same as above. Not a bad pick up.
Seyi Ajirotutu(SAN)- In the back end of the depth chart for the Chargers who have Rivers throwing to them. Half of the WR’s last year were all plauged with hamstring injuries and had some durability issues. He had an amazing 2 touchdown game and was a deep threat. Only take deep deep in the draft. I mean really deep. Then again, San Diego hasnt resigned Malcom Floyd or Legadu either i believe.
Andre Roberts (Ari) - Ended up starting opposite of Fitzgerald end of last year. Finally outplayed other WR’s there. Could get some better looks as a result of Kolb spreading the love. It’s my sleeper pick.
Tight Ends
Randy McMichael (SAN)- Basically isnt really worth much unless Gates is messed up, but did have one nice 2td game week 9 I think. Take him at the end and potentially cash in if Gates foot issues reappear. BTW Gates is already on PUP list.
kid hits a 67 yard field goal
Not that this has anything to do with all the mock drafts going around or anything like that, but i thought this was pretty impressive. This kid is a stud!
youtube highlight videos
While spending the day checking out different youtube highlight videos of potential top 10 picks i was curious if others have been doing the same. Out of all the videos i've seen today and over the past year or so I still have to say that Patrick Peterson probably has the best one out there. Also the Jake Locker 2010 highlights are pretty impressive (although i wish his 2011 compilation were on the same level as his previous year). Anyways, who's your favorite youtube video, and is that person a contender for the number 3 spot in your opinion?
side note: Is it me or is the Blaine Gabbert video just horrible?
thx,
OK SO
Greetings from Southern California,
Whats the odds of us picking up a left tackle. From what i've read, it seems the Meredith is gaining some ground and actually looks better of a fit than the injured Bell. They talk about how athletic Meredith is and what not, but whats the odds that he will be starting, and does he have to potential to fit in there right away. Do the pros outweight the cons? or are we better off with a free agent tackle? Something i havent seen too much of us Flozell Adams posts. A lot of people talking about trades with the saints and ravens. Can someone fill me in here on Flozell? Is he worth too much than our frugal pockets are willing to part with? Is gaither worth it either? or does Meredith/Bell really have the potential to do something here? I personally would like us to have our left tackle position squared away here sooner rather than later so we get things moving here, and see what our quarterbacks are capable of with that extra second or two. I am tired of being the only person in Newport Beach California wearing a Bills jersey and hearing all the smack when we get sacked soo many times. And i work with a bunch of guys from New England and would give my left nut, wait, my right nut to just stick it to the Patriots at least once.
So i guess in short, should we outbid the broncos and whomever else is after him and get the trade locked up?
Why get Clausen
We gotta chance to actually fix up our lines a bit here
DELHOMME SIGNS WITH CLEVELAND
WELL I PERSONALLY WAS FOR THIS BUT ITS NOT HAPPENING FOR SURE NOW. I DID HAVE ISSUES WITH HIS TURNOVERS BUT I THINK HE WAS THE BEST POSSIBILITIY FOR US. JUST WATCHING HIM THROW 325 YARDS AGAINST US THIS PAST SEASON MADE ME WANT HIM FOR SURE. ALTHOUGH HE DID THROW 2 OR 3 INTERCEPTIONS YOU GOTTA GIVE PROPS TO BYRD ON THAT ONE. ANYWAYS, THIS IS MY FIRST POST AND IM SURE IM GOING TO GET SLACK FOR WANTING DELHOMME BUT WHATEVER. ANY BUFFALO BACKERS IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA OUT THERE? IM TIRED OF SHOWING UP IN MY JERSEY AROUND ALL THESE STEELERS FANS AROUND (NO I DO NOT KNOW WHY THERE ARE SO MANY AROUND HERE.) LIVING IN ORANGE COUNTY.
