USF Bulls To Sell 500 Standing-Room Tickets For Seminoles Game

Friday at 9am, USF will place 500 standing-room tickets on sale. Tickets will be $50 and will not comewith any attached seating. For those that haven't been to Raymond James, you can watch the game from the end zone (with the pirate ship), it's still a good view of the action and can actually be a fun way to watch a game.

One of the best photos of the night, had to share it here.

UF student football season tickets still not sold out

"It’s not as fun when the Gators aren’t winning," the criminology and law and anthropology senior said. "If it becomes a season where games are worth watching, I’ll go. But I’m not motivated to go get unclaimed tickets right now." Antony Rivera, a 19-year-old information systems sophomore, said he got the student ticket lottery his freshman year but only went to one game. He said his friends never went, he didn’t have much time and the Gators’ losing streak last season was a "turn-off." "I personally thought it was a bad investment," he said. "If you’re there and your team is losing, you’re just sitting there and that’s never fun in any kind of event."

Miami remains 'committed to ACC'

"We could not be more proud than to call the ACC our home," Eichorst wrote in a statement. "We are confident in our progress and in our accomplishments, yet there is still much work to be done. We are committed to the ACC and to doing our part to continue the tradition of excellence across the board. In that regard, we have not engaged in any formal or informal discussions with any other conferences." I actually believe that they aren't looking around, pretty sure they have enough issues in-house right now and ACC is a better fit for them anyways.

Failure to monitor for S. Carolina

The NCAA has ruled that South Carolina failed to monitor its athletic program that resulted in various rules violations and has accepted the school's proposed sanctions to cut six football scholarships and slash its official recruiting visits by more than half in the coming year. Does this help Clemson? Probably not if Dabo is still running the show. But the whole enemy of my enemy thing....

Shane Robinson hits first major league HR

Shane Robinson hits 3-run HR and goes 3-5 in first start in the Majors since 2009. Funny story at the bottom talking about how he had to haggle with the fan who caught his meaningful HR to get the ball back. Glad to see Shane is still out there grinding and chasing the dream. Hopefully this gets him more playing time this season.

#8 Florida St - The Seminoles were a darkhorse pick for the National Title last year but an injury to QB Manuel saw the Noles drop to 2-3 at one point in the season. FSU would respond to win 7 of its last 8 games including wins over Florida and Notre Dame in the bowl to cap off the season and this year they return 15 starters including QB Manuel and defensive stars DL Jenkins and DB Reid. FSU looks to also bring in one of the best frosh classes in the country and should clearly be the favorites in the ACC.

ESPN Bracketology - FSU an 11 Seed

ESPN's latest edition of bracketology has FSU as an 11 seed, and not listed in the "First Four Out" or "Next Four Out". FSU joins Duke, UNC, & Virginia as the ACC's only 4 representatives. Big Ten and Big East both have 8 schools in the tourney.

Canes RB Lamar Miller leaving early for NFL draft

As expected, Miami Hurricanes RB Lamar Miller is leaving early for the NFL draft, he still had two years of eligibility left.
