Where is Heyward?
Jason Heyward left the game Saturday after just one AB and hasn't played since. Has anyone heard anything about why he has been absent from the linup the past 3 games? I was thinking maybe he is sick with the flu or some other illness, but the fact that he left in the middle of the game makes me think he may have sustained some sort of injury. If so, hopefully its just something minor.
Sources: Eagles are close to acquiring LT Jason Peters

The Philadelphia Eagles are close to working out a trade with the Buffalo Bills to acquire left tackle Jason Peters, multiple sources said Friday.
Terms of the Eagles' proposal are not known, but Peters was asked to fly to Philadelphia today to meet with team officials. The Eagles have 12 picks, including two first-round selections, in next weekend's NFL draft; it is believed they might have to give up a first-round pick -- or more -- to acquire him.
A trade would be contingent on Peters passing a physical exam, but it might also require Peters agreeing to a contract extension. If that is the case, talks between the Eagles and the player's agent, Eugene Parker, have not yet begun because of the swiftness of the discussions.
For more than a year, Peters has been in a contract stalemate with the Bills. He's made two Pro Bowls at left tackle and wants to become one of the highest-paid at his position -- at an annual salary of possibly more than $11 million.
Peters is scheduled to make $3.375 million for the coming season. Last year he held out of training camp, but the decision did not get him a new contract. Peters is signed through 2010 and can then become a free agent.
A great success story for the Bills, Peters was an undrafted tight end out of Arkansas. The Bills turned him into an offensive lineman and he ended up starting 10 games by his second season. Buffalo eventually turned him into one of the best left tackles in the game.
Garrett Anderson
I know its still early, but after watching Garrett Anderson play to this point I have to say I am not impressed at all. Not only does he lack the speed to get to balls not hit right at him in LF, but he doesn't even catch the ball when he gets to it (2 dropped balls last night vs Marlins). Also, at the plate he has not hit the ball with any power or consistency which his 2/14 start also indicates. Again, I know hes had limited at bats b/c of thecalf injury he suffered during the spring, but how long can we afford to allow this guy clog up the middle of our order if he doesn't turn it around fast? At this point, I feel Brandon Jones would be an upgrade defensively as well as offensively.
Griffey Picks Braves over Mariners
Ken Griffey Jr. has chosen to sign with the Braves, according to a person close to the veteran star and familiar with the on-going negotiations. Griffey and Braves general manager Frank Wren met Monday night in Orlando. Wren and Griffey’s agent were scheduled to meet today in an effort to finalize a deal.
The Braves would be adding a 13-time former All-Star who’s one of six players to hit 600 or more home runs.
