The callup of Tony Abreu to be the latest musical chair at third base makes it crystal clear that the Dodgers don't have an immediate answer at the hot corner.

So why is everybody overlooking the most obvious move: Nomr to third, and call up James Loney to play 1st.  All Loney did was win a batting title in AAA, and hit .400 in spring training.  He's the first baseman of the future, but there's no job for him as long as Nomar is there.   Loney is a much better prospect than either LaRoche or Abreu, but he's languishing at AAA.
