Lions work out Bobby Carpenter
I think he would be nice depth.
Suh Putting His Subs Where His Mouth Is
Suh and Justin Tuck have a wager on Sundays Game. The loser has to buy the winners charity subs. From the article it appears that Suh is the one who called out Tuck on this. Man I love this guy. Suh is what this team and town have been waiting for, a dominant player with a personality too.
75 words is what I need and lets see how much nonsense I can type in hear to get it to that point. Oompa Loompa doompadee doo
V. JAX a wanted man.
Now that it has been settled between the NFL and the NFLPA that Jackson would only miss four games if traded within the five day window that goes from Friday 4:01 PM to Wednesday 3:59 PM should Mayhew get on the phone?

Stafford may miss only a week or two
According to Dr Sczeciensk Stafford may only have a shoulder contusion. I really hope so cause while I believe Hill is a good backup having your franchise QB out more oft then in games is NO BUENO.

CB Help by way of Denver.
Denver has an interesting situation on their hands. Rookies Syd'Quan Thompson and Perrish Cox have had good camps and played well this preseason. Last years second round pick Alphonso Smith has not. I don't see Denver keeping 6 CB's with Goodman, Jones, and Baily ahead of these 3 guys so I am expecting one of them to be cut and I would love to see Mayhew pick whomever that is up ASAP. My hope would be for Cox to get the axe because I think he is the best of the three, but I think Denver probably sees that too, and with there investment in Smith I think he has a leg up on Thompson. So I am expecting Thompson to go from Mile high to the real D and add some young, fast, and aggressive talent to our seriously depleted CB group.
NFL Sunday Ticket discount
To all my fellow PODers who have DirectTV and are thinking about ordering the Sunday ticket I thought I would share with you this tidbit of info. If you call in to order the Sunday ticket and ask about a discount they are offering it at a $120 discount. What they do is charge you $63.99 a month for five months and give you a $20 credit for 6 months.
I was just calling in to cancel my movie channels and it was one of those offers they give you to entice you to get more services but at a $120 off I couldn't pass up watching my Lions in my boxers on my couch every Sunday instead of getting dressed and going to a bar and being mad that I can't drink cuz I have to drive home after the game.
Hope this helps at least one person save some money.
Bradford deal reached.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports the St. Louis Rams reached agreement with Sam Bradford on a six-year, $78 million deal with $86 million maxim that includes $50 million guaranteed.
Hopefully this means Suh will be signed before the night is out. Just wanted to update my fellow PODers.

John Clayton on the Lions OffSeason (4th Best)
Nice to see Mayhew get some rec. for his work.

Well guess this ends the questions of if he would help the Lions.
Smith might never be 100%
Would have used the Fanshot but thought more people would see it here and appreciate the info. It's the 6th paragraph in the first story. I hope Smith does come back healthy and productive but if he doesn't what does that do to our running back situation? Will we be fine with Morris and Brown as Best's backups? I wonder who this person close to the situation is too. I hate when the source is always "someone close"! That just drives me nuts, who the hell is this person? It's probably the cleaning person from Smith's docs office that saw his chart one night while cleaning with some Quiet Riot pumping in his cassette player. hahaha
Amari Spievey made most of his second chance
Hope he is that physical at this level.
Vikings wanted Robinson
the formatting is jacked on there site. the article is on the left side further down. Good to see the queens get shat on.
Lynch Staying with the Bills
Can we stop the Lynch talk now?
New found RESPECT
I have never really sat down and done a mock draft. I have looked at other peoples and blasted them and told them you should have taken X,Y, and Z here and there and there is no way he goes that high or falls that low.
Chargers WRs
With Jackson and Floyd becoming available this off season and as much as it pains me to say it, we need to address WR this offseason. Should we make an offer to one of them? I know Jackson will demand a lot of money and is restricted but would it be worth it to go after him? Can we afford it? Or is Floyd the better route? I like the idea of adding Floyd to this team. I think he would open up CJ and Grew more effectively than let’s say a Bryant Johnson. Also, it would allow us to draft other positions than WR namely OL. I think Jackson is great just a bigger pipe dream than Floyd. HAHAHA we probably won’t even be in the discussion for either of their services but I can dream. Let me know what you guys think?
Ed Johnson
He was cut by the Colt's last night. I like the guy, he is a Detroit guy, I think he is a solid player, and would help to add some quality depth to the D-line. What’s our wavier priority? Is he ours for the taking? What do you guys think about picking him up?

Defensive Plan
Gun says he is going to blitz more this game. I for one HOPE we do. I felt slighted in that first game against the Saints. All preseason and training camp, all that talk about being more physical and attacking other teams had me so hyped. Than we just sat on or heels and let Drew pick us apart. I get the whole “he is a Great QB” and “he will find the mistakes” bit but damn, if you know whatever we do there is still going to be a good chance he is going to pick us apart, make a decision and go with it for good or bad. I am hoping for a stacked box and LBs coming from everywhere all Sunday. Pick a poison and let’s roll with it.
Trade Value?
*This is just for the sake of conversation so please no death threats.
What could the Lion's get in return for CJ? I know he is a beast and has the potential to be the best WR in the league for many years, but we have so many holes, would we be better off trading him to help the team as a whole? Could we get the line help that we need on both sides of the ball, corner/saftey help, or a heap of draft picks? If he were to be traded what could/ should we demand in return and who would pay the price?

GET OFF ME!!!!!
THEY CAN'T STOP ME!!!
What am I looking forward to this year. Week 13! 1st QTR BP is going to make RayMA look foolish in coverage. Late in the game he will run through ReyMa and last but not least he will PANCAKE his ass on one of the most devastating run blocks of the year. Then of course every week I am looking forward to CJ dragging cats into the endzone.
But the thing I am looking forward to the most is this team playing with some SWAG and a physical beat your face in demeanor. I can’t wait to see this team play like they care and win, lose, or draw their opponents will leave needing time in the ice tube. Schwartz will have this team playing with that fire.
Who is your QB?
With Schwartz's constant message of, 'Hey, you're gonna earn your spot based on how you perform.' I have come to believe that the top performer this off season will be our starting QB next season. Even though Schwartz hasn’t said officially there will be a QB competition going into camp there is going to be one.
That got me to thinking, who is really the best QB on our roster and who will out shine their peers? I mean physical tools, mental wherewithal, the intangibles, immeasurables, swag, the whole deal.
I have my personal favorite, who I think will win out, and who I want to see win the job.
"Drum Roll" and the winner is Dr. P.
The man has something to prove. No 32 y/o man that has already made millions of dollars, works his @$$ off in the summer, drops 30+ lbs, for a 0-16 team unless he is on a mission. I think the proverbial fire has been lit under his @$$ and he is going to come in guns a blazing.
I do think that Staff has a chance though; his talent and ability to learn quickly could put him in a dead race with Dr. P. Poor Poor Stanton is left out in the cold wondering what if.
What are you guys thinking, who are you rooting for, and what do you think the team will do behind your QB of choice?
