I am huge on my Home State New Orleans Saints. I am from West Monroe, LA (Who have an outstanding High School Football team). After the Super Bowl win we finally can shed the term AINTS!!! Pull that friggin monkey off our backs!
I am a fan of the following other teams: LSU Tigers, Boston Red Sox, New Orleans Hornets, LA Lakers, and Colorado Avalance. USA World Cup team got hosed this year...nuff said.
Floyd Meriweathers mom lives next door to my parents house in Arkansas so I gotta pull for him right?
I am a soldier in the Army and I love serving my country both foreign and domestic.

Now I normally only read the articles posted and very seldomly chat regarding issues on the Hornets, for some reason today I feel compelled to dish out a few things based on what I have seen over the few weeks since the Hornets lost D. West to his ACL injury....
THE HORNETS LOOK BETTER!
Yea I said it! They look better! There is something to be said about the way this team has mad moves during the offseason and during the season. The swaps for players at times were very questionable and eye rasing to me but it looks like the Front Office has it together and they do there due dillegence pertaining to player moves and staffing.
Carl Landry was a great pick up, sure we had to give up something to get him but he has made his transition look easy....good for him....Thornton was a tuff loss because he is a local talent but Thornton fits into a need better than Thornton ever could.
Stong D has this team buzzing...sure we are 7th in the Playoffs but we are in and we have a shot!!! for Chris Paul this should be enough...
Ready for the Playoffs...
Geaux Hornets!
Kelvin Sheppard
- Mike Mayock's assesment,
LSU LB Kelvin Sheppard: He measured in at 6-2, 250 pounds, which got my attention. Then he went on the field and destroyed running backs in a blitz drill. He bull rushed the undersized backs, but he also used a speed rush and a spin move to win. He looks like a solid pick for any 3-4 team in need of a pass rusher at outside linebacker or a stout inside guy over a guard. He has the physical strength to play the run and demonstrated that in nine-on-seven drills. He was around the ball a lot when I watched him work.
Glad to hear he is doing good things...now what round is he going to fall into? and to who? 3-4 or not I think the Saints need to look hard at this guy.
What do you think??
<!-- end page:applyDecorator -->
Congrats John Fox
Since he is now leaving the NFC South I think Saints fans can breath a collective sigh of relief!!! Over the duration of his career he has had our number....oh wait I am on the MHR!!! OOPS!!!
As I said before the Broncos are my 2nd team and my AFC Favorite so I want to try and chime in every once in awhile!!!
I absolutely love this move, I will be first to say that John Fox is a standup/standout HC. Sure his record this season was putrid but it wasnt entirely all his fault. No QB, GM let the franchis player off the hook, no draft help...etc. etc. I blame the ownership in Carolina for this season and most of last season.
With a 73-71 lifetime coaching record things dont really jump out at you but the record is decieving after the 2-14 record this year it hurts his numbers so I am willing to give him a pass this season.
Here is his statistical breakdown..
| CAR | 2002 | 7 | 9 | 0 | .438 | 4th in NFC South | - | - | - | - |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| CAR | 2003 | 11 | 5 | 0 | .688 | 1st in NFC South | 3 | 1 | .750 | Lost to New England Patriots in Super Bowl XXXVIII. |
| CAR | 2004 | 7 | 9 | 0 | .438 | 3rd in NFC South | - | - | - | - |
| CAR | 2005 | 11 | 5 | 0 | .688 | 2nd in NFC South | 2 | 1 | .667 | Lost to Seattle Seahawks in NFC Championship Game. |
| CAR | 2006 | 8 | 8 | 0 | .500 | 2nd in NFC South | - | - | - | - |
| CAR | 2007 | 7 | 9 | 0 | .438 | 2nd in NFC South | - | - | - | - |
| CAR | 2008 | 12 | 4 | 0 | .750 | 1st in NFC South | 0 | 1 | .000 | Lost to Arizona Cardinals in NFC Divisonal Game. |
| CAR | 2009 | 8 | 8 | 0 | .500 | 3rd in NFC South | - | - | - | - |
| CAR | 2010 | 2 | 14 | 0 | .125 | 4th in NFC South | - | - | - | - |
| Total[3] | 73 | 71 | 0 | .506 | 5 | 3 | .625 | |||
So he is (on average) just above average as a coach but he has the know how to get the Defense in line. He has playoff/Super Bowl experience and the ability to inspire all his players....
Good fit in Denver here...
What you think?

Reflections of a Seaon gone bye...
First off Congrats to our Saints!!! They had a heck of a season dealing with the plethora or injuries they had to there team. I applaud all the coaches, players and fans for rolling into the season without much time off and putting a good product out on the field. It was hard to watch at times but we saw glimpses throughout the regular season. As a whole I was impressed but I am left with a feeling of wanting to see more...unfortunately it wont be from the Saints this season.
The loss to the Seahawksonly proves one thing to me...they peaked at the wrong time of the season and could not start the playoffs with the right kind of momentum that propels teams to a higher calling. What momentum? Simply loosing to TB and the injuries that came out of that game didn't help much and the fact they put two huge names on IR 48 hours prior to a pivotal playoff match up hundreds of miles away. That kind of momentum. They were missing the kind of momentum Seattle gained by beating St. Louis in week 17, and like ravenous players/fans with nothing to loose welcomed the defending champs into there home to have a Hannibal Esq mid-day snack.
***Lets look into this a little deeper....New Orleans vs. the NFC West. Yea that Division that isn't supposed to be any good!!! but no one told them (Seattle, St. Louis, Arizona and S.F) that!!! In the games we played against this division this season we are a respectable 3-2, but In the games we had to travel (SEA, ARZ, S.F) we are a disappointing 1-2 barely winning the week 2 match up in S.F. We did not travel well against NFC West opponents and it proved to be a factor in this weeks game.
Drew Brees was not the "Breesus" that he was last year. Is that really his fault? He finally broke is INT streak!?! Its like this Reggie was out most the year after Week 2 and Pierre was hurt after week 3...significant bad breaks, but the major difference wasn't Brees or the top two
via d.yimg.com
RB's being out it was the play of the O-Line as a whole. (You are open to interpretation on this suggestion)
Chris Ivory and Jimmy Graham stepped up and played well in their rookie seasons they surpassed any expectations and have laid ground on hopefully stellar sophomore seasons.
The Defense played lights out most the year ranking near the top of the NFL but in games against stellar teams they were more human and when it really mattered could not live up to their hype. Greg Williams might be a hot commodity now the season is over, could this be a reason the D was not on there game this week? Who knows?
Sean Payton did a great job this year...as much as we all might want to pull out our hair at some of the calls that are illogical...it is that fire and tenacity that keeps us feeling confident and knowing that is what fires this team up week in and week out...we know he is a gambler...lets give him a pass on the 4th down call...we should have gotten that yard...heck...Pierre was soring over O-lineman and D-Lineman in the Falcons game not to long ago...
The theory of the "Black Pants" do I really need to go into this??? Regulars here at CSC are well documented on talking about the wretched "Black Pants!!"
In the Draft I truly believe we now have a great shot at taking RB MARK INGRAM!!! I said it here first...
All in all our season was much better than some people initially believed...personally I feel we left a lot on the field in this loss but in the end it wont take away from having another L in the playoff road category...Its only a matter of time NOLA Saints faithful...
Those that are in the 504 I hope you can get out to the Airport and support the team!!! I will be there in spirit...
Dont worry Ladies and Gentleman I am not going anywhere!!! (Winking at the bandwagon fair weather fans)
Geaux Saints!!! WHO DAT!!!
2011 Season
Well after getting the tip off of NFL network, I heard that next seasons schedule has been posted. (Yea Yea I got it were still in the playoffs THIS season!) But I will be overseas next year so I wont have much to chat about!!! So without further adue
It looks like we are rotating to the NFC North and the AFC South Divisions in 2011. It looks like both Manning brothers will be coming to the NOLA next year and we will be traveling to Green Bay. Seeing that we play the Lions we might play them on Thanksgiving?? Ratings were at there highest in years for the Saints/Cowboys game?? and also looks like we will continue our rivalry with St. Louis.
All in all it looks like a lot of warm weather games in the upcomming season followed by lots of Dome teams. With the right off season moves we could be in line for a great 2011 season.
What are your thoughts??
Home Games:
Away Games:
Atlanta Falcons
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Carolina Panthers
New Fan
I am first and foremost a Die Hard Saints fan that will never change EVER, but I have been trying to find an AFC team that have qualities and attributes that I like and even though the Broncos are in one of the worst seasons in franchise history I will give my "secondary allegence" to the Denver Broncos and the MHR.
I have been watching the team from afar all season and at seasons beginning I was impressed with the way they were having players step up to fill big roles i.e Orton, Lloyd etc. and the early season injuries to Moreno and Dummerville all but derailed the season. (I personally these two injuries cost them at least 2 wins earlier in the year.) Now I know its only two players but they are two significant cogs to the Broncos team as a whole.
Questionable trades and Video tapes have cost the HC McDaniels his job. The owner is trying to save the face of the franchise and move past this year at a high rate of speed but questions still remain.
So Why now?
Well I have pulled for the Broncos for awhile and I had the chance to watch a few games this year and last year and the team just began to grow on me. In my belief the Broncos will be back soon! I am a life long Saints fan and they have turned in some borrible seasons and have made pretty bad personnel decisions (in the past) but the light was at the end of the tunnel! The Broncos are in a valley and I am pulling for them to get this thing turned around!
I have a few questions?
Who is a good candidate for HC?
Tebow ever going to get a chance to shine?
How many draft picks do the Broncos have?
Will Elway actually impact the team?
How bad is the team perception amongst local fans?

Week 15 Baltimore
The NOLA Saints are now 10-3 and winners of 6 straight games. I am pumped excited and happy all at the same time about this string of wins after the porous start to the beginning of the season. Injuries are healing and the teams’ tempo as a whole is getting better each week.
What are you getting at?
Simply this Baltimore is playing in a MNF game this week (against the Houston Texans) followed by a 1:00/12:00 PM game at home vs. the Saints at home. The Ravens are going to be on a short week playing the Saints. Could the traveling from Houston back home followed by a condensed week of practice some-what help our chances heading into our game with the Ravens this Sunday?
The weather for this game is going to be pretty cold for the Saints:
High of 35, Low of 30 with few snow showers sprinkled in during the game and a 30% chance of precipitation. YUCK! The Saints better do some outdoor practicing for this game it’s going to be cloudy, cold and physical.
We got a shot and that’s all that matters!
Geaux Saints!!
Bucs vs. Falcons
Two (5-2) teams in the NFC South are squaring off this weekend, and my favorite thing about it is....Someone will have to lose this game! The most logical choice to lose is Tampa Bay due to them playing last week and ATL comming off of a BYE.
My feeling is that Tampa Bay will win this game. Simply because there Defense has things going at a high rate and the two teams as a whole compare similiarly. Aquib Talib and Ronde Barber are playing great, so I think the Ryan to White connection for ATL is going to be on trial this week.....The jury is out!
I personally dont think that the Saints vs. Panthers game is going to be the blow out we all think it is going to be be but we have a good shot of beating them in their house and sweeping the series for the first time in the Sean Payton era. A win for us and a loss for one of the two will put is in a good position in the Division and will allow us to continue to chase the Leader of the pack.
The NOLA Saints should have a few key starters back this week as well, so things should look good for us on the field.
Now I am just rambling on....CHEESEBURGERS?
NFC at a glance (week 8)
After reviewing the rest of the NFC I guess things can be a lot worse! Almost all teams this year are struggling with several areas. This is the most even Division ever!
I haven’t done this since last year so here we go!
Atlanta Falcons (5-2) The dirty birds continue to win and they make it look impressive. The ATL is tied for the top spot in the NFC with the Giants of New York. Roddy White and Matt Ryan are playing at a very high level and Turner and Gonzalez are good compliments to that offense. The defense is keeping it together but they have issues with injuries and lack of consistency…sound familiar?
Next three…….BYE, TB, BAL
New York Giants (5-2) The G-men have come from the unknown to be in a share of first place. Defense wins championships, but Manning is getting the ball to his receivers are playing at a very high level. Bradshaw is taking care of business in the backfield and Tom Coughlin has his team believing in their potential.
Next three…….BYE, @SEA, DAL
Seattle Seahawks (4-2) This team coming out of the box was not picked to do well this season. Pete Carroll has turned this team around in a short time and they are playing at a very high level but not consistently the Dr. Jekle / Mr. Hyde approach in rotating weeks is hard to keep up with. Being in a weak NFC West division I believe they have a great shot to win that Division. Arizona will go away.
Next three…….@OAK, NYG, ARZ
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-2) I personally cannot believe this team is doing this well? Lombardi can cue the phrase on this one. The young talent is believing in what Raheem Morris is teaching and good things are going on down in TB. I expect them to start to fall before too long.
Next three…….@ARZ, @ATL, CAR
New Orleans Saints (4-3) The NOLA Saints are having injury issues as are the Packers; I believe the cream will eventually rise to the top as these two teams begin to get healthy. Drew Brees needs to have some of the pressure taken off of his shoulders simply because he is not handling it this year. The O-line needs to work out there issues and the Defense is playing great. Things can be fixed on the Offense and the turnovers…don’t push the panic button yet.
Next three…….PITT, CAR, BYE
Chicago Bears (4-3) The Bears have potential but they are starting to come back down to the rest of the NFC North. Cutler is back to his INT days and Forte will not get many touches in a pass happy Mike Martz offense. The Defense is playing great but the turnovers are causing them to get into shoot outs in the second half of football games. Sound familiar?
Next three…….BYE, @BUFF, MIN
Green Bay Packers (4-3) The Packers are starting to have players come back off injury and are looking to get back on track after their win over the Vikings. Rogers and Brees are both not playing up to their high standards and I expect they get it turned around. With Clay Matthews back the Defense will again pester opposing QBs and cause confusion with his high motor. The upcoming schedule does not look to difficult the ATL game will be one to watch!
Next three…….@NYJ, DAL, BYE
I hope your collar has been popped and your educated for the next few weeks!
Lets get err going Saints!!
PUP List
Now that the NOLA Saints have gotten a good game under their belt, Offensively and Defensively, the "unrest" with the WHO DAT nation is calming down after the embarrassing loss the Cardinals. We can now look at another interesting topic of discussion….The PUP List and the two players that are currently on it; Darren Sharper and Clint Ingram.
Darren Sharper - has already said that he is ready to get back to practice and play in a game. He has also stated he might not be up to full speed like the guys who are in game shape but he can contribute. My take on this is that he is about 90% ready to go and with the play of Malcolm Jenkins we might be able to hold him off or limit him against Cleveland and make sure that he is ready to go against Pittsburgh.
Clint Ingram – I have not heard any new news in regards to Clint Ingram only mere speculation that he is not ready to go and will have to sit on the PUP list for another few weeks before the Saints will have to make the decision to either cut him or move him to the practice squad. Ingram’s injury seems to be a lot more of an issue and is requiring a lot more attention. My take is that this guy clearly is not ready to go and until proven wrong I don’t see why we should just put him on IR for this season.
What are your opinions?
GEAUX SAINTS!!! WHO DAT!!!
Wake Up New Orleans
I believe at this point last year we were 3-0 and going into a game against the then undefeated New York Jets. It was our statement game early on in the season and set the tone till we set another standard pounding the Patriots in week 12.
Heading into the game against the Panthers this weekend we are 2-1 and in no way shape or form doomed! We had some players get nicked in the last game, (Brees, Thomas, Porter, Harper), but I do not believe anyone of those players will miss any time.
Hartley will get right eventually but at what expense to the team? Well so far we are in debt of 1 game this season! When will he repay us that one?
The Saints have been tested so far this year by top opposing running backs (Peterson, Gore, Turner) and I don’t see it letting up until we get to Arizona, where there team is a surprising 2-1 (Hint: Janikowski missed a chip shot last week to!).
Carolina are 0-3 and are far from the team that has plagued us over the past decade, Jake Delhomme will not be walking into the Super Dome this weekend. The Offensive and Defensive lines are not getting any push and Clausen cannot get the ball to Steve Smith. The only concern I see from Carolina is there ability to run the football. DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart are not off to fast starts but they have the potential to blow the doors off at any point.
GET TO THE POINT!!!
I said all that to say this. The Saints are in a good place right now simply because Coach Payton can use this loss as a lynch pin to prove that they are not expected to win every game based on credentials and accolades of last season. Coach Payton has been well documented on his ability to inspire his team during tuff times. As much as this one stings, I can guarantee that the Bayou Boys will be ready to play this weekend in front of yet another sell out crowd. The Dome will be rocking!
As I posted in a previous article we have a favorable schedule in the upcoming weeks. Does this mean we will win them all? Nope! But we should have a great shot at heading into the Steelers game with a good deal of momentum.
Lets seethe over this could have should have win and keep it in our minds but lets not get to consumed with the loss calling for a S.O.S (Same Old Saints) line. Our Saints are beatable and we are not playing “Great” on offense but its ok! Half the major competition for the NFC is sub-standard!!!
WHO DAT!! WE DAT!! YALL BEST BELIEVE THAT!!
GEAUX SAINTS!!!
Burn After Reading
First off I am pissed, like yall, we lost and it sucks!!! but we are only in week 3 and we are in a 3 way tie for first place. After the loss I was hot and aggravated as you all were, my couch could not bear the pounding that it had to deal with and my wife thought I turned into Mr. Hyde, then I looked at the schedule and after reviewing the next 4 weeks we are not in to bad of shape. In the NFL you can never really say that you have an easy schedule but here is who we are playing:
|
Sun 10/3 |
1:00 pm |
|
|
Sun 10/10 |
4:05 pm |
|
|
Sun 10/17 |
1:00 pm |
|
|
Sun 10/24 |
1:00 pm |
Although up to this point some of the teams records are...well...a little deceiving these are subpar teams playing well past their potential. I see that during these games we can make a huge run in the NFC. Atlanta played well there were plays on both sides of the ball where the game could have switched to make it go in totally different directions but those plays did not materialize. They took advantage of the fact we were down a starting CB in Porter and had a rookie filling in for him. With that being said Looking at the Falcons next 4 games they have a much tougher challenge. They play the following teams:
|
Sun 10/3 |
1:00 pm |
|
|
Sun 10/10 |
Cleveland Browns at Cleveland |
1:00 pm |
|
Sun 10/17 |
1:00 pm |
|
|
Sun 10/24 |
1:00 pm |
Parting shots:
- Get well soon to Drew, Pierre and Tracey. All three seemed to have minor injuries to knees but we cannot afford to lose any of these guys on either side of the ball.
- Lance Moore had a beast of a game. I was glad to see him get back to the old form he had a in 2008. I like the small college guys making a big impact in the NFL and by golly our team is loaded with them!
- The Saints will be trying out kickers but I do not believe Hartley's position will be in jeopardy. I mean come on man! He went 3 for 3 last week and kicked the game winner then? He does need to get on point with his follow through...watch the tape.'
- S.P needs to give the offense a chance to punch it in when the momentum is on their side (like it was in O.T) I don't think it was a bad call all around but Hartley on opening weekend was missing those as well...I remember telling me wife he has been pulling these so far this year...sure a-friggin-nough he pulled it right. I looked just like week 1.
- Shockey looked like the old Shockey! I hope this spells for a monster of a year!
- Reggie said he should be back sooner than prescribed. I say let her heal right Reggie come back against Pittsburgh at the Dome!
P.S Burn after reading...
Geaux Saints!!! WHO DAT!!!
I like our D
As I have said before opening kickoff "I like our Defense!" I remember all the posts and topics on how suspect our Defense is....well....They have been the only ones who have shown up so far this season! I have seen two decent games put together by Greg Williams and some pretty sub-standard performances on Offense, as compared to a usual Sean Peyton Offense.
If we have to many issues moving the ball thus far with the weather and mother nature we need to be preparing in the worst weather imagineable! Looing at our upcomming schedule we play AFC South teams like Cincinnati and Baltimore in December, which are places that are known for nasty weather.
GET TO THE POINT!!!!
With that being said our Defense is going to be heavily relied on down the stretch this year, our Defense so far has been battle tested more than I was expecting and that have stepped up and played in two hard fought games. Vilma has his crew in line and when Sharper gets back we will be that much stronger.
The Offense is going to be in some tight games against those dirty nasty AFC Defenses all year and we better be able to match them Pound for Pound...I think we got it!
We are on to the next one!!! Bring on the ATL!!!
WHO DAT!!! trying to TWO DAT!!!
GEAUX Saints!!!
I like our D
I will admit I haven't been as committed as "several" of y'all; posting all post season long but I havebeen reading most of your posts!
I actually still like our D!!! Here is my opinions.
Will Smith and Alex Brown sounds like a much more favorable starting tandem than Smith and Grant! Alex Brown has been consistent his hole career with the Bears and will now be our Left End. Smith got snubbed last year on the Pro Bowl so I expect with the extra attention on Brown Smith will be able to pin em' back this year! If "Big Sed" can stay healthy all year and clog up the middle the sky is the limit for our front 4. Ayodele and and Hargrove will be a good platoon...
Vilma and Shanle will be returning and should continue to be productive whereas the ROLB position is pretty up in the air! I am honestly waiting to see who steps up until Clint Ingram can get back up to full speed. I am not overly concerned here either. Mitchell and Clark will probably fill in nicely for Ingram.
CB's - are way more productive over the last crew we had a few years back...They are all returning! With upgrades!
DB's - without Sharper we will struggle a bit but I think Jenkins will fill in nicely. He is a bit more athletic and more open to instruction. Harper is and has been solid for us for a few years now.
In summary I will be ready to see them get pumped as the banner is raised and the coin toss is over and our 1st team D runs out on the field!!!!
WHO DAT!!!
Geaux Saints!!!
Faneca a FA?
http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d817cb285&template=with-video-with-comments&confirm=true
Check the above link to see the article about Alan Faneca. This guy is a Louisiana native and a pretty darn good guard to have on your roster. Reguardless of if we get him or not the guy seems to be in line to make some serious money this year due to his roster spot with the Jets. We should try and get him cheap!
John Henderson a FA?
The Jacksonville Jaguars released two-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle John Henderson( the 2002 - 1st round, 9th pick) on Monday. Being a former Jaguar DC you know that Gregg Williams is probably screaming at Mickey to call for an interview with this guy. Big physical DT in the middle to pair up with "Big Sed" and our new draft pick Al Woods.
I mean the guy has the size and strength at 6-foot-7, 335-pounds. Looking at his stats over the last few season he has an average of 84 tackles and 4 1/2 sacks during the first four seasons, while averaging 56 1/2 tackles and 2 1/2 sacks the last four years.
I say we bring him in. We simply do not know what we are going to get from "Big AL WOODS" and there is an opportunity to pad the Defensive Line with a proven talent. I have read that he has had some minor off the field incidences with his company and personal family stuff but that should not be enough to write this guy off. John Henderson IS A BEAST and he should come down here to the NOLA!!
Get on it Mickey!

Awwwwww YEA!
Taking a break from the offseason draft and FA talk.....
Being a soldier and loving to fire the M249 it was friggin awsome to see the Captain of my favorite team on the dirt getting ready to pop off rounds down range. Although he does not have an ammo can in and there are no rounds running through the feed tray Drew, going on USO trips and hanging with the Marines is pretty sweet. He just needs to come see what the Army is about!
HOOAH for WHO DAT!

tight end David Thomas
running back Pierre Thomas
So you know this mean we are trying everything in our power to keep these guys in the Black and Gold. Some notable players are on this list from the Super Bowl run.
Good Coaching wins Super Bowl XLIV
On the contrary to what the guys on Stampede Blue are saying I don't believe bad coaching lost this one (On behalf of Jim Caldwell) I say great coaching won this one (On behalf of our own Sean Payton).
The Colts had it going the whole 1st Quarter, amassing huge yardage while the Saints could not get on the field going down 0-10. Then the light switch turned on and we go for it on 4th and short, a team motivator win or loose. We loose that one but then we get a huge 3 and out and we drive down to get to 6-10 going into the half.
After the boring WHO concert the Saints came out and stunned the world on the On sides Kick, this was a HUGE win/loose situation and we pulled it out. Drew Brees hits Pierre Thomas and the Saints take the lead.
Manning drives his team down and Addai (formerly from LSU) scores the go ahead TD. The Saints follow up on yet another ICE COLD field goal by Hartley (Breaking a Record) to bring it to 16-17.
Drew Brees then gets the Saints down the field again and throws a TD to Shockey at the 2. Then the BEST CATCH of the Super Bowl happened. Brees hit Lance Moore (The star who has been dinged all year) at the goal line for the 2 point conversion. He flipped and wiggled to stretch the ball over the goal line only to have it called incomplete. Well if anyone knows SP he is smart enought to take advantage of the neutral field and watched the big screen he sees the play and how close it was and threw the flag. BAM Lance Moore posseses the ball and get it over the goal line. 2 Point attempt good!!! 24-17 Saints.
We all know how it ends!! TP jumping the Patent Pending Colts Manning to Wayne slant for a long DEFENSIVE TD!!!
I got through all this to say Sean Payton called a heck of a game after the 1st Quarter was over. The Colts had something for us but we never let them get into a rhythum. We stumped them at there own game! Sean Payton has called some bad games this year but this was the best game to date in his Coaching career. MAD PROPS SP!!!
WHO DAT? WE DAT? But I bet you already KNEW DAT!!!
GEAUX SAINTS!!! BLESS DEM BOYS!!!
WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS MY FRIENDS!!!

White Jerseys
It looks like the Saints will be wearing their Road Whites for the Super Bowl this year. My question is do you think that they will continue with the string of recent success by wearing the White on Gold or the White on Black? I remember the last time the Colts and Saints played in their last meeting (2007) we rocked the black pants and were thumped 41-10.
Drew Brees did not have the greatest of games that time around, and I am almost certain he will not repeat the abismal numbers he put up in 2007: 28-41 for 192 yards, 0 TD and 2 INT's.
Brandon Spikes
How do yall think he will pan out in this years draft? I know he is a high strung MLB who can be dirty at times......who isnt on the D? What are his grades comming into the draft? Would he fall down to the Saints? The NOLA Saints I am certain would love to have another proven LB in there Defense. Possibly give him a year to earn the system and rotate him in and out with Fujita and Shanle at the OLB position......Vilma will be in the Middle for years to come so that being said would he also be able to rotate to OLB?
WHO DAT
Saints vs. Colts

This is the first time since the early 90's when the 2 top teams respectively in each Conference will square off in the Super Bowl. Two 13-0 teams at one point locking up in Miami off all places. A place where the Colts are all to familiar with and a place that has so many ties to one player (Drew Brees) who almost signed on to play for them and a team who came back from 21 down to shock the football world earlier this year. After that game we all talked about going back......Ohh and lets not forget about Archies Saints going up against his son's team that is huge!
The Colts are a well oiled team (the professionals) that score points in bunches, while the Saints are the new kids on the block and are learning the old fashioned way "Trial by fire." Without question the NFC Championship was a huge milestone for the entire Organization but there is more work to be done.......For both teams
Sean Payton vs. the Indy D will be an interesting matchup to see. Guys like Freeney, Mathis and Brackett are going to get their fair share of attention from our O-line which was pretty good all season. We have gone up against some pretty stout DE's this year and I believe we will be looking back at a few games to prepare for the Colts Pro Bowl talents. Payton was in a rut last weekend on the play calling duties due to the Vikings D-line I expect the same from the Colts D-line.
Manning vs. Gregg Williams will be the most interesting matchup of the game. Manning is a freak when it comes to figuring out what the other team is doing. I have seen so many games this year where in the first Quarter nothing was happening the POOF! Manning is carving up the opponents D like it is swiss cheese....Frusterating! our D is designed the same way we might not be on point the first half but you better believe in the second half we have things figured out. We have been extremely proficient in the 4th Quarter and the Red Zone this season.
Who's ready?

I dont know if yall have followed the Saints any this year but being that the Colts and the Saints were undefeated together for so long I was always watching to see if the Colts would loose first.......needless to say that did not happen but it allowed me to see alot of the Colts as a whole and yall are scary good......I cannot wait until the 7th.

Music Sweet Music
I remember watching the game against Minnesota last year when it seemed that the game was going just the way this one ended up look it up...."The Saints dominated the game in many categories, but lost in one of the most important -- turnover differential. New Orleans coughed up the ball four times, while Minnesota did a much better job of taking care of the ball, with no turnovers." New Orleans destroyed the Vikings on Offense last year but lost the turnover battle. Longwell kicked a game winnig 30 yard field goal in the final seconds to ice the game for the Vikings.....
Fast forward to this year where it was everything from last year in reverse. We controlled the turnover category and didnt put as many yards as the Vikings but the great thing about this game vs. last years game is WE got the pass interference call this year ( Kevin Kaesviharn ring a bell? last year?) that set up the winnig kick by Hartley! ohh yea and we are the ones with the NFC Championship! Super Bowl or bust! Why not us?
GEAUX SAINTS!!! Bless you Boys!!!
REGGIE
Does the debate need to continue with this guy? I mean he is a class act and a stand up role model for all youngsters. He is getting it done on the field and off. How much more does this guy have to prove on the field before people stop hating on #25......Injuries are no excuse to write him off. Where are all the haters at?
Geaux Saints, Bless you Boys...........Reggie Bring the Wood.
When worlds Collide
This is the showdown we have all be talking about around here in the CSC. We have compared our team to the Vikings since the two teams ascended to the top of the NFC. Its is fitting now that the two best teams in the Division will now be battling for that Conference Championship and a shot at the super bowl.
The Dome will surely be rocking this weekend as we are back on a normal weekly schedule as New Orleans will be hosting its first Championship game EVER!
So lets not forget that Minnesota is just as hungry as we are having not been to the big dance since the 70's.
I sure hope we can get Favre rattled like we did to Kurt Warner!
GEAUX Saints!!!
???

Well I am really just SHOCKED! Meachem's body language explains it all....Dejected and Stumped....Tampa Bay went into the Dome and "Stumped the Chump" the joke is on us. We have been chatting in the CSC that we want the NOLA Saints to start off fast and put up points and force the opponents offense to challenge us with there best Offensive product, while we play good D and stump em....well we did just that going up 17-3 at the half. What we weren't prepared for was chocking up the lead late in the game on a Punt Return!!! Harley gave me a heart attack after his miss we worked so hard to get down the field....Carney a consultant really? anyone?
Okay Okay Even though we lost I still have "Faith" and the bigger picture in mind and can draw a few things from this horrible loss.
Pierre Thomas missing the 2nd half was huge for us, but I believe it was for the best. If this was the playoffs that guy would have been back out there crushing....
Tracey Porter had a huge play on the goal line and looks to be getting back into form.
Shockey and Greer were huge deactivates today. Shockey just causes nightmares, when he is not on the field we don't look the same . I am going as far as to say he is the KEY to the O. (Other than Brees)
We can still wrap up the Division next week....CAROLINA are playing great right now "stumping the chump the last 2 weeks."
Come on yall we are 13-2!!! Its sucks we lossed we are all just spoiled from all the success, lets digest this loss and get ready for the 2nd round of the playoffs.....you never know we could have been holding back!!!
Geaux Saints!!! Bless you Boys!!!
