My first memory of the Angels has to be seeing Nolan Ryan pitch in a Rangers uniform at the pre-renovated stadium. If I recall correctly, the Angels only had a hit or two the whole night. I think Lovullo had a triple, but that was it.

Moving Mathis up in the batting order

As we all know, Jeff Mathis has been a very, very poor hitter throughout his career. We've been winning despite him. But if we want to have any chance to make a run this year, we have to make a tweak in our lineup. We know Conger isn't ready to be the every day catcher. And we know Reagins isn't about to make a trade for Alex Avila anytime soon. So, we can either let Mathis continue to flounder down in the 8th spot, or move him elsewhere in the lineup.

The Angels have just agree to terms with RF Vladimir Guerrero to a 5 year contract extension according to Ken Rosenthal from foxsports.com stay tuned as we gather more information.

I'm as happy as anybody that we swept the Tigers this past weekend. It's better than any of our other sweeps this season, including the ones versus LA and pantsing the Yankees in the Bronx. Detroit is the defending AL champ and their pitching is top of the line.

I was at the game tonight in section 535. While that may be far away, it turned out to be a good thing because the Angels stunk so bad. 3 hits. 3 effing hits off of Cliff Lee.
