Hurdle fired by the Rockies
Not much surprise here, it was probably between him and Bob Melvin as to which manager got fired 1st.

The "Other" BCB reports Harden to the DL
Al is reporting that Harden will be going onto the DL when Zambrano comes back. I suppose it was only a matter of time before Harden made his annual journey to the DL.

Cubs trade Gathright for Freel
So the Cubs decide that having a guy that can jump a car is not actually helping the baseball team so instead trade him for a guy on the DL.

Villanueva likely to be closer on opening day
Assuming that Hoffman opens the season the DL it looks like Macha has indicated the Villanueva is the preferred option to close.

Hoffman's Opening Day hopes 'looking dim'
Looks like we will need to have somebody else close games to begin the season.

Gagne released
No surprise here, Gange is going to try to rehab in private rather than in the Brewers minor league system, saving the Crew some cash

Brewers on Sunday night baseball
At the bottom of this article it gives a list of nationally televised games that the Brewers will play in.
I cant remember the last time that the crew were scheduled to appear on Sunday night baseball in the 1st half of the season, I assume that they had a game the 1st year Milller Park opened but since then I can't remember any.
It does mean that I will be able to see them live on TV here in Scotland since that is one of the 2 games that we get each week live.

Sheets likely to turn down arbitration
I am not suprised although from a Brewers point of view one year of Sheets at around $15 million would of been pretty good.
