Von Miller says Aldon Smith would be his pick...
as "most likely to win Defensive ROY" (besides himself). Take it for what it's worth.
Glad we dodged this bullet when we took Crabtree...
we never may have picked him anyway, but this jack-wagon (stole this from a Geico commercial and I am bringing it back) is a real piece of work. Oh how I love to see the Cowboys look bad:)
T.O. thinks he's as good as Jerry Rice
T.O. is basically just a huge douche nozzle. Honestly, that should be an annual award, NFL Giant Douche Nozzle of the Year. That's really a bit of a mouthful. Eventually they would probably just call it the T.O. award. Commissioner Goodell if your reading this, make it happen. Don't agree? Read the pure ridiculousnessness (yes, I just made up that word) of this article and see if that doesn't change your mind.
Jimmy Clausen has decided to take Charlie Weiss's advice and call it a career at Notre Dame. He will forgo his senior season and make himself available for the 2010 NFL draft according to ESPN.com's Tom Friend.
I am happy with Alex Smith but this may effect how the first round plays out. It means that both Niners picks gain value because talented players will be available who may not have been had Clausen stayed at ND.
America's Game: The Super Bowl
Not sure if this was the most appropriate way to post this but I thought some of you guys might be interested. The NFL Network is airing a series of programs called America's Game: The Super Bowl today and it seems as if they are focusing on the 49ers Super Bowls.

11:00 AM- 1989 w/ comments from George Seifert, Tom Rathman, and Jerry Rice

I watched the very end of the 1984 episode and thought this might interest some of the faithful.
Alex Smith: The next Ben Roethlisberger?
Somebody threw out some of Alex Smith's stats from the 2006 season a few days back, and it got me a little bit curious. My first thought was to compare the stats from that year, his second year in the league to those of elite quarterbacks and I have to admit I am very, very comfortable with the Niners decision to re-sign him. I am not usually the "fence-sitting" type of person but I think it is the best term to describe my position on Alex Smith. I have always been optimistic about his, dare I say it "potential" (site decorum); and frustrated with his inability to realize said (site decorum). With that said, a simple comparison to the statistics from Peyton Manning's rookie season, did a lot to re-charge my optimism for this kid. Here are some of the key numbers:
