I'm a phisiology major at Oklahoma State University. I'm hoping that after I graduate from college that I will be accepted to either UCLA Medical School, Baylor School of Medicine or USC Medical School to study Orthopaedics. If all of the cards fall right I want to be an Orthopaedic Surgeon for the Indianapolis Colts or the San Diego Chargers (because San Diego is warm).

Brett Favre travels to Minnesota

According to ESPN, through WCCO-TV in Minnesota,  Brett Favre is on a plane headed for St. Paul and it is most likely that he will sign with the Vikings before the day is out.  To me, this is just crazy.  Enough is enough.  He already said that he wasn't going to play anymore twice in a national interview.  I honestly can't think of a good reason for this to happen...again.  What do you guys think?

The Colts Training Staff

Ok, its 4 in the morning before my big organic chemistry test and I hit my limit on studying reactions and playing with little plastic model kits.  I then went to start on a physiology project due next week that has me reading medical articles having to do with the tearing of ligaments and tendons and the findings that were reported.  I was reading an article when I noticed one of the sources was from the American College of Sports Medicine, so I went to their site thinking that I could get some valuable material for my project.  While navagating this site I found out that their HQ is in Indianapolis, Indiana.  This leads me to this question, with the largest collection of doctors specializing in sports medicine in the Colts' backyard why does the Colts training staff suck so much.  One would think that Jim Irsay would hire a better training staff with so many experts so close.  I hope you guys find this as ironic as I did in the wake of the bursa sac conspiracy that happened over the lasts season.

Santi and Graham goes on IR

Tom Santi and Nick Graham goe on IR which is why the Colts signed a new tight end from the Titans.  Now, with Nick Graham going on IR the Colts have even more injuries at the already thinned corner back position.  This means that the Colts just might go out and sign another corner back from somewhere or just use the men that are on the roster.  With Kelvin Hayden likely a week or so away still, this puts the Colts in a bit of a bind.

Happy November 4th! Get out and vote!

Happy November 4th everyone!  It's finally election day.  After today, no more political ads for another 2 years.  This is just a friendly reminder to everyone to get out and go vote.  Make your voice heard.  I don't care who you vote for or what your political views are.  Just make sure that you go vote.  We live in a country where we have the amazing right to vote for our leaders.  Don't forget and don't not go.  So, get out and go vote!

The Defensive Tackle Problem

Not only am I a big NFL fan, I am also a big College Football fan (Oklahoma State, Go Pokes!!!) and follow both religiously.  I also talk with John Levra, (he was a DL coach for a bunch of teams through out his time in the NFL. Here's his bio if anyone wants to see it http://www.hitrunscore.com/john-levra-biography.html) and because of that I tend to know more about the DT position than any other.  Lately I have been finding myself looking at DT from all across the country. These are the guys that I would like the Colts to draft.

1)  Terrance Taylor 6'0" 310lbs Michigan

He is great at stopping the run and playing the NT position.  Also, he has no character issues and has not missed a game since becoming a starter three years ago.  He is also good at getting into the back field and disrupting plays, but has some endurance problems if on the field for a long amount of time.

2) Peria Jerry 6'3" 310lbs Ole Miss

A very good run stopper but has had some injury problems early in his career, but has played every game last year and this year.  Also good at disrupting the QB and collapsing the pocket.

3)  Vance Walker 6'2" 293lbs Georgia Tech

A good all around DT with no injury or character issues.  Has a mean streak and plays with a chip on his shoulder all the time. He is also very quick off the ball.

4)  B.J. Raji 6'1" 335lbs Boston College

He is also a great run stopper, however he has had a questionable character record and has missed some time this year because of a shoulder surgery.

Note: I've only included seniors since no one ever really knows what juniors are going to enter the draft. If anyone wants just leave the name of a DT and I'll try to watch some film of him and try and get some info on him.

What does everyone else think?

AOL FanHouse gives Colts Offense Good Review

AOL FanHouse does a pretty good job at rating the Colts offense although they are a little too sold on K2 making the team and Hart not making the team.  They don't give the Secondary as high a rating as I, and other Colts fans that I have talked to, believe that they deserve.  All in all, this is a pretty good post. Here's the link http://nfl.fanhouse.com/2008/08/16/fanhouse-nfl-season-preview-indianapolis-colts-under-the-rada.
