I am from the land of the crescent moon and the palmetto tree. Many years ago, when the sun still revolved around the earth, I graduated from a small (and infamous, in certain quarters) military college. I support the varsity sports teams of said college, which makes me one of the great gluttons for punishment in recent American history.
Someday, my alma mater will qualify for the NCAA basketball tournament, and the world will come to an end. These two events will occur at roughly the same time.
