VE Scouting Video

I like these clips the best, includes the good and the bad and just all his "highlights". Gives a better indication of where is really is as a player

Insider Stories: JJ

So there's a twitter account (illianaAAU) that follows alot of recruiting and Bigten programs in this area. He knows many of the coaches, players, and media and generally calls it as he sees it. ...

Purdue Elite Camp Review

From the new Purdue site The Black Hammer. Good read. Here are some additional comments from the author: x I really like Braxton Miller. Talked to him and his dad after and they said they would be visiting sometime this fall. Kid shot the heck out of the ball today. I would project him as a 2 guard with the ability to develop into a 3. About 6’2″ right now. x Another guy that might be worth a watch is Nick Rogers. Was 2014 and then reclassified to 2015. Plays the point at Traders Point and is solid across the board. Has good size. Purdue will not have problems finding a good PG in 2015. I think Ash is their #1 priority even over Hyron Edwards at this point. x Going to go into some talk about 2015 PG’s for a min. -I think Ash is #1, then Edwards. The relationship between Ash and the Purdue coaching staff and players is great. He is so coach-able and just gets it. He never takes a play off and has the demeanor of a true leader. -Bryce Moore is a guy that everybody will want to have on their team a year from now. Super-skilled handling the ball. Has really good speed, not Yogi quick but close. Can hit a step back jumper and get to the hole. He’s about 6’1″ right now and will grow some more. Could see him as a 6’3″ 185 PG by the time he graduates. -Glynn Watson was okay today. He wasn’t great but I know he has played better before. I would rather see Nixon at this point but Watson with some work this off-season could be a lot better. -Sean McGee was pretty good today. Has a little bit of an attitude that needs work but it is also what makes him play hard so it is kind of a catch 22. Broke a tooth within the 1st hour of the camp. Didn’t phase him at all. x It was unfortunate that Bates-Diop wasn’t there but wasn’t that surprising. More disappointing that Devin Cannady wasn’t able to attend. Really loved his game this summer. Purdue is showing him the most love right now. Gary Bonds would have been nice as well but his AAU coach said he will be out 4-6 weeks and will not be able to play in the fall league. Needs to get healthy for the high school season. He will be fighting for playing time with the frontline that Warren Central has now put together.

Lawson Impresses

I really hope he puts it together. I remember how excited I was for him when he was playing a decent amount in the beginning of the year.

Moore Basketball Camp

This is awesome to see! Makes you proud to call him a Boiler! Representing Purdue well

Painter Comments on Players

I don't know if you guys have seen this yet. Tom Davis posted this on twitter a few days ago:

Purdue Summer Practice Pictures

A couple things I noticed in case you don't wanna look at all of them: In picture 8, wow. Hammons looks to be in fantastic shape. Much leaner than I thought he would be for a 7 footer. In 9 Look! He's working on his hands!!!!! In 12, holy crap Simpson is a big motha. OldBoiler wasn't lying about him loving the gym. In 19, we got our new walk on working hard In 30, is Sandi shooting a jump shot? Whaa. . . In 51, Ryne sighting! with his usual intense look.

Hummel's Draft Prospect

Pretty good review of Rob's game

Big 10 Player Efficiency

Great by the numbers look at each player. Found this on CQ. Definitely worth looking at.

First FB commit for 2013? You guessed it - Another QB

Danny Etling. Indiana Grown. Iowa was his second choice. Cousins with Joe Holland. Seems like a decent pickup. I would assume he will be the only QB for the class (or maybe we'll sign 6 more)

Something Happening at OSU?

First no incoming recruits. Then JD Weatherspoon (ESPN: 3-star, 91 grade, #30SF) leaves the program. Now Jordan Sibert (ESPN: 4-star, 94 grade, #25 SG) is leaving the program. Strange, eh? Is it possible Painter tries to grab either of these players?

aOSUs Weatherspoon transferring

Interesting. . . Thads short bench preference seems to be finally catching up with him first with his lack of 2012 recruits and now him losing a 91 ESPN graded player.
